Israel is a threat to world peace. Don't forget to mention that the only reason why they sent those drones is because Israel bombarded Iran's Embassy in Syria and that goes against international law. They keep on breaking international law, comiting war crimes and genocide with zero consequences.

Kevin don’t mistake this for a weakness in Iran’s strength. This wasn’t a massive attack. It was just a “show of face” attack. If you don’t think this was pre-planned and all parties knew about its details, then you don’t understand the Iranian regime. Remember the missile attack on the Iraqi US base 4 years ago?
The regime knows if it launches a full on attack, it will be the end of its existence.
You should know that they are also fighting an internal battle against the 90% disapproval of its people. The super majority of Iranian people condemn the regime and all of its actions but they are held hostage. The regime tries to create a “false enemy” in Israel and the US to try to keep its power and unfortunately they’re succeeding to the detriment of the Iranian people.
As an Iranian I should say majority of what you said is correct except for the weakness of Iran’s strength. If they had any power they boast they have, they would have saved Gaza. depends on how you view it, iran spent couple of millions for this attack while isreal spend billions to defend, if they rince and repeat endlessly, who you think will loose?
2 things: the drones are much cheaper than the missiles used to intercept them. And Iran had to do something for internal reasons but couldn't kill a bunch of people without being crushed. This was on purpose. Hence 10 hours warning and 300 slow drones.
If WW3 starts there will be less people, less environmental impact and we may not need to drive Tesla's - should I short sell based on this epiphany of reason and logic?

Im pretty sure Iran profited tremendously from this, as they publicly stated: "huge success". Imagine knowing what you're about to do to world markets and then positioning yourself accordingly. While Israel and US had to conduct an expensive defense operation, Iran was calmly watching their portfolio go up by the hundreds of millions while also taking notes on the air defense strategy of Israel.
This served a purpose. That an expensive state of the art defense system can be swarmed and exhuasted by waves of cheaper assault options, such that a protracted attack of the sort would eventually deplete, and negate the system beyond its capacity to be replenished. It also acted as a real-world probe of the defense system. In times of peace such an assult cannot be performed without recrimination. But, with the actions in Syria, they gave a free excuse for such a probing. This deliberately used only their slowest ordinance and was meant to hit only low value targets. You can bet that behind the scenes, those in the know are keenly aware of the effective point of this showing - despite how the news may frame this.
What if the point wasn’t to strike Israel but to make a point? Iran didn’t want to lose face and had to satisfy the Muslim world. Also, the strike wasn’t a complete failure. How many Iron Dome missiles were used to shoot down Iran’s drones and missiles? Could Israel keep up its defense forever? Could it handle another strike? 2 more? 3? At some point they run out and then they get hit

The drones worked the defences while the ballistics hammered the bases. The idf was warned before the strike and location. It is a show of what they are capable of
It is not an embarrassment of Iran. Iran gave enough notice to US and Israel on the attack. So it is more of a message they want to portray. Not cause damage but show intent
This is not the end folks; no one behind the wheel wants to hit those brakes.
I don't think that the goal in war is to inflict a "proportionate" number of deaths on the attacker. The goal is to neutralize the threat by scoring a disproportionate win and thereby discourage the attacker from ever trying it again.

Israel bombed Iranian top brass in their consulate in Syria. This was Iran's response. They said what they were going to do before they did it, which makes this pretty obviously face saving. Escalation from Israel at this point would have nothing to do with Iran's drones, but larger ambitions to get into it with Iran.

Well, it costed them 1billion dollars to defend against this “attack” I believe this retaliatory attack was just a message that they can reach them. As for the drones, it was intended to be hit as part of a first, multiple cruise missiles did actually land and hit “targets” but no footage of what it hit. Some other footage of a separate area showed 2 buildings got hit but no info on whether these are residential or government building.

Kevin, you’re missing the point of the drone/light missile attack. It was a slow and easily intercepted response so that they can avoid escalation while also responding to the attack on the embassy. It was a tap on Israel’s shoulder. If Israel gets it in their head to escalate this, then the next attack WILL hit their targets. The Iranians knew the drones weren’t getting past the iron dome.
How close were these balistic missles to starlink? Can we get a lake usa if they hit a sat?
