I have "Siberian Tiger" (and a few other achievements that came along with doing that) but not "Friend in need". Kinda proud of that tbh

Of course only 20% of people have joined a faction, that would require fictional social skills
and only 0.2% have promote an officer to field marshall and maxed him out, cuase that requiers to hold a conversation
And only 0.01% of hoi4 players have a girlfriend

I think my game must be glitched (playing in an older version) as when I tried to rejoin the soviet Faction, I passed out and awoke in 1946 and the entire world was under Tannu Tuvan Control.

I tried to farm a few achivements once, but then I asked myself: Why do I hate myself so much?, and stopped doing that.

same, but I did all the ones I consider fun and worth doing. In the end these achievements are pretty pointless (it's just a little picture saying "good job") and are not difficult (95% of them), they are just painfully tedious considering the fact that almost all HOI4 achievements are divided into two groups: clicking focuses and world conquest.
Most of them are just tedious and uninteresting. Especially the ones like make the whole world fascist or make the whole world British. Ain't nobody got time for that.

Genuinely interesting and challenging ones
Tedious nonsense that just isn't fun
Backdoor world conquests
Only the first category is fun
Wow I had no idea that you could join a faction in Hearts of Iron IV. Really helped with the achievement. Maybe you should do a series on quick achievement guides. You could call it “speechievements”. How has nobody thought of that before?
Actually ISP did the achievement in a suboptimal way, you can join a faction on day 1 as Sinkiang, 0/10 unwatchable unsubscribed
You should play the Tanna Tuva annexation mod. Every 180 days Tanna Tuva annexes a random country. It's hilarious

@@gandalf_thegrey It's not just a matter of it crashing, it's about the AI or other mechanics not working correctly because HoI4 has no QA department.

@@gandalf_thegrey The ParadoxPlaza forums are full of complaints about the AI. Perhaps you shouldn't rely on Reddit and Google for your information.
Many players will also have no idea that the game isn't functioning correctly. They won't know how the AI is supposed to function because they haven't read through the code that affects AI behaviour. Furthermore, if you play on ironman, you can't (easily) see how AI countries are behaving, which you can without ironman, and therefore won't even be aware that certain things aren't working correctly.

Most of the rare achievements I've gotten I got through playing without historical AI on and the AI just giving it to me like playing as Spain and getting the achievement popup that I retook Gibraltar when the UK just gave it back to me

Maybe the reason only 0.7% of all the playerbase has it is because you need the No Step Back DLC to get the althist path and catch a Romanov.

0:09 I heard a lot of people just buy HOI4 to play either R56 or whatever ended up replacing Kaiserreich so that they can get a lot of content without having to buy all the DLC, and I think achievements don't work if you're playing with mods
A large portion of those 80% are probably people I convinced to play multiplayer with me and then they never played it again LOL Most of my friends who play other games with me find it too complex.

Funny, its one of those achivs i did by accident by just normally playing the SU. Every game of HOI4 eventually turns into a world conquest anyway if u play long enough.
I went after this one a few months ago. I went hunting for the very obscure and low count achievements. Got all the Switzerland ones in a single game. 😁

My college roommate last year was so addicted to HoI4 that he failed half his classes. Despite having 9K hours of playtime, he has 4 achievements
Playing with any world changing mods actually disables the mods. Like tool pack, player led peace, and mods like Red Flood or Kaiserreich do it as well.
I definitely have to say that the most big brain thing he did was giving all of his equipment away then getting it back. I did not know that was even possible.

I haven't actually gotten the "Join a faction" achievment, this is becuase I suck at the game.
After the speedchievements going away, ISP has brought it back with Season 2
No one plays ironman because you need to be able to reload after going afk on 5 speed for 10 minutes.
I have 1931 hours currently in HoI4 and 0/171 achievements.
The reason is simple. The idea of playing unmodded and in ironman mode is absolutely abhorrent to me.
But getting achievements requires me to play VANILLA HoI4! I couldn't possibly play without all my precious mods! D:

Just to clear something, some of the achievement require DLCs, that not all players have them. I think you should mention that in your videos, otherwise thanks for the tips!

I almost got the achievemt but got stuck on an allied german puppet in the maginot line in 1945 with lag.
I have never once played Ironman so I have none of the achievements with 600 hours in the game.

I have it, messed the civil war up pretty badly lol, but the somehow pushed through, hated it though absolutley annyoung to do. Try the Gran Colombia achivment, that is hell in the early game, manpower issues, Peru and loads of occupation.

I only have 7 achievements. I did a playthrough as mexico to get thr most basic ones in a single run, reaching 1948, joining a faction, making 1000 convoys, etc

ISP it's because we are playing modded! You think I wanna play with vanilla hoi4 peace achievements I played bba when it released it wasn't fun those conferences made the ai kinda worse on conferences they might of fixed it but I ain't checking
20% of people play on iron mode. You objectively learn games faster if you can reload. Or have a good checkpoint system like dark souls.

I some how got a rare achievement or at least think it’s rare. By taking over the USSR as Germany with out taking Stalingrad. Kinda ez cuz my allied Romania took it.
The join faction achievement is so low, because players want to be creating their own factions. I'm not sure I've ever joined a faction, frankly.
I play on ironman plenty, I just have never really played without mods. Why would I? The vanilla game isn’t as good.
