The watching statics part hits hard because I actually did that a lot as kid lol. It's nowhere near scary though. At the time I was obsessed with Courage the Cowardly Dog to the point of memorizing episodes, so sometimes I just stare into the statics and replay the episodes inside my head, and it feels like I could see the show playing behind the statics

When I was a child I used to love watching the show and reading the books of Madeline. However, I'm convinced I was traumatized by the episode/book where Madeline has to have her appendix removed. There's a scene where Ms. Clavel ascends the stairs, repeating the words "Something is not right", while Madeline is crying in pain. I had a light outside of my bedroom that cast a shadow which resembled a nun (like Ms. Clavel). I used to have night terrors of Ms. Clavel running up the stairs repeating the line from the book/show. I'll never forget the fear of running past the shadow to wake up my mom. Sorry for the rant, great video!

It was not that scary as you said, I imagined it had loud crying in pain as she descended the tall building. But yea it is a little disturbing I get what you mean.

Also to get rid of false memories you need to, run your (high frequency background) (memory brain state) or
Also called sensory memory, while remembering something to remember remembering a memory.
Or, to get rid of it, use the rare Live-memory-state so if the memory feels like there are
      manny tangent feelings/vibes it’s false.
I can prove this because the memory doesn’t feel right, nothing fits,
I felt two different vibes, my memory was later found out by me to be
2 tv shows. my mind mashed them together,
The tv show I mixxed up, without context on the two either to shows,
Are spiced and some other similar Canadian one.

I had this rare brain state as a kid, to have it you need to have a good mental health, and intelligent growth mindset.
If you don’t use either of these, it’s hard to get it up and running.
      Idk if there’s suck thing as a live-memory brain-state.
      But I had it.
I proved it that I heard a song called Tms, nothing was wrong with the memory due to logic.
I kept hearing the song on radio, and it kept reminding me of that one night.
I heard it for the first time, when I was 3 years old.
After fact checking it was 2007,
And the internet mystery began since 2007.
I remember being three, the memory is of me in the back of my dads black truck, driving down to orrilia.
I asked my secondary mother in the passenger seat, as the sun went down on the long road.
And why the sky had a glow, she said it was by the city, it looked like a purple aura.
And that might of been the night or some month similarly close
Where at my grandmas farm, I ask for my favourite “rock song” I called this a rock song.
That cars all night song song.
I also recall hearing Tms just before going into Toronto, in the grass fields, that are now covered up in outlet stores.
The time was 11:00 when it almost over.
I remember playing a ds new super Mario game.
I love the water sewers level.
One memory I had, was of me going into a complex that I cannot recall where, but my grandmother was their Kate ring, and in the vehicle I was annoyingly pressing my obscure toy shotgun.
The toy is obscure, I loved it so much, it got taken away 😢

I recall a memory that I thought nothing of, and whenever I asked my family about it thye didn’t know what it was,
Now after, I knew why I felt a weirdly strange familiar connection to my family, it was because as a kid my cousins, watched me when I was 5 under,
And the shows I recall are that weird space-website digital show, and that show called resses.
You ever recall the weird tv show memory without context on how you can even recall that tv show?

I have a very clear memory of going into an abandoned building with my dad and sister and some of our neighbors to watch fireworks on the roof. I remember the power was still on, but most of the lights were off. The rooms were mostly bare of furniture and kinda dusty, we took the elevator up and set up lawn chairs on a gravely flat roof. There weren't a lot of buildings around it. When we left, our neighbor needed to use a bathroom and something scared her and she shrieked when she left, but it was probably just because it was dark.

My weird memory of a tv show was this sitcom the adults watched. I think Seinfeld or Home Improvement? Something like that? It was a Halloween episode that I only saw on once when it was a new episode. One of the main characters was dressed as a butcher or something for a Halloween party, and every time the blood got too dry he'd kill another of the characters. Everyone was telling him it was a great costume and the blood looked so real, and I think he was killed by the police at the end but maybe not? The Next Week On (whichever show it was) segment at the end was the laugh track playing over empty sets because all the characters were dead.
I assumed I fell asleep and dreamed most of it until I heard the adults all talking and laughing about it the next day.
Thing is every person in my friends, and family I ask about it remembers the episode, but remembers it being a different show.

The detail that tipped me off that this was only a story was the mention of "channel 58." The televisions of that time had a knob that had only 13 channels. Some televisions, but not most, had a second knob that contained some higher numbers. Being able to tune into something above the regular 13 was a rare thing because most of the channels were just static. In most places, even most of the main 13 channels didn't have a station tied to them. My family TV was able to get 5 clear channels. Sometimes 6 if the weather was agreeable. If this story was real, the characters in the story would have mentioned the strangeness of the ability to get a clear picture regularly on such an obscure channel. People from that era casually talking about tuning in "channel 58" during the early 70s would surely have had a lengthy string on that topic alone!

So the doll wanted to turn into a flesh and bone human replacing the owner girl and nobody would notice because they simply looked exactly the same.

On the subject of false memories, I have an incredibly strange one for ya. You ready........I distinctly remember from when I was around 2 or 3 years old, looking under my bed and seeing A HUGE anthropomorphic pink bunny staring at me.
She looked almost like either a Muppet or an HR Pufnstuf character and just waved at me. I have always known that this never really happened, despite how vividly I remember it the whole thing was clearly just a dream. If if was like a typical ghost or gray alien, I guess I could open my mind to that. But a Muppet!? Come on, that stuff is clearly just a work of fiction! Lol
I actually forgot about that "memory" for years until just last week, that bunny appeared in ANOTHER one of my dreams all these years later. I often watch whatever is playing on [adult swim] before I go to bed and in my dream, she was a new mascot that the channel introduced. She now had the name Sarah and would appear regularly in their signature between commercial bumpers. Man, the human mind sure is crazy, isn't it?

@@HannahTheHorrible Somehow that dream never scared me. In fact, I thought my dream bunny was really adorable. I've never had a problem with most puppets and costume characters, even the infamously creepy ones like the NHL character Gritty. For some reason the only mascot type characters that creep me out are the ones that resemble any sort of primate (monkeys, apes, sasquatches and yetis, etc). Real and cartoon monkeys have no effect on me in case you are wondering, just the puppet ones. Yes, I am well aware of how weird that last sentence sounded btw lol.

there was this norwegian show that got created in 2007 called Skrimmel Skrammel. The show was about 5 guys who all met on this magical land called Skrimmel Skrammel. Some of the stuff that would happen is that one of the character's would lose something, and then they had to ask this statue for help, called mr mister yåså (pronounce mr mr yausau). He was so scary, because his design was very dark in color, he had this gaping mouth, glowing red eyes, and everytime he was on screen, there was this low growling voice, and he had a really dark voice. He also had this globe that he would spin, and everytime it landed on a country, steam would come out of it. Then they would have to sing a song related to the lost item, and in the style of the country.
Then there was also Gammel kanten (The old edge). You see, even though Skrimmel Skrammel was a magical place, staying there too long was dangerous because of The old edge. You see, most of the time The old edge was just an edge. It didn't do anything to the character's as long as they didn't fall over it, but it they did ever fall over, they would turn over a 100 years old. And staying in Skrimmel Skrammel too long was dangerous, because after a while The old edge would start to lure them closer to the edge. One time, they stayed there so long that one of them fell over. They managed to save him, but it was still very creepy

Peak its massive head over the horizon. It goes on to tease pingu and eat his bed while manically chuckling.

There was also one of the Pocahontas movies that had a jester character who was just demented looking and even googling his image again as an adult years later I was still like "absolutely no this was not okay for children"

Candle Cove is by far my favourite creepypasta. I first stumbled upon the website when I was around 11 and I had nightmaressss about the show for like a week. It was so cool and creepy, and I’m still amazed that I could have been affected so much by it. It’s beautifully written, and it’s modern enough for it to have some belief in it

I honestly wish Channel Zero would have lasted longer. Imagine if they could have covered other creepy pastas. The other show you talked about (with the doll trying to kill the girl) was also created using RL Stines (Goosebumps creator) book series.

It is extremely relatable. I had several creepy memories from 90s/2000s tv shows and couldn't find out if it was real until years after.
Like I remembered an episode about housewives sleeping in tupperware boxes to remain young: it actually came from Eerie Indiana.
And don't get me started on Are you afraid of the dark, cause a lot of memories actually came from that show!
It's amazing that the internet helped us to remember those. There truly was a golden age of teen/children creepy horror shows

Okay so I remember watching this stop animation show as a kid in the early 2000s, after extensive searching, I found out it was a short film called "Not Without My Handbag" I watched it in my 2nd grade class but never finished it because the teachers thought it'd be too scary for us, then later played Horton Hears a Who. I thought Not Without My Handbag was a short before Horton Hears a Who but they were separate films. I've tried searching for what format the teachers could've gotten Not Without My Handbag, can anyone help with that, on how the film was distributed? That film scared me as a kid, but I saw it all recently and it's just as creepy as I remember

I'm a Australian who grew up primarily in the late 2000s to the early 2010s and i grew up with a show called Grizzly tales for gruesome kids. I think it was british and it was about kids being naughty and getting brutally murdered or hurt. If you remember there's still episodes on here on youtube. But like, the animation style was so weird and creepy. I remember an episode where a kid swore so a hairdresser cut her tongue off? And honestly the intro song haunted my nightmares. It depicts a young boy going into a movie cinema and getting a ticket to see a move, he's handed popcorn but it turns out to be beetles. The intro was in this creepy tim burton esk claymation but the actual show was in a weird dodgy style. I don't know, it was just creepy. I rewatched one of the episodes a few weeks ago and its still just as creepy. Does anyone remember? so weird. Honestly sometimes i feel like us Australians just got Canada and Britain's failed kids shows. But hey no we can make kids shows just look at dirt girl world! :(

The BBC network aired CAPTAIN ABERCROMBY. it was the genuine puppet style pirate themed show from 2002. I remember it to be creepy with some strange scenes. Footage was lost cause the studio caught fire.
Everyone else is lying about remembering a supposed pirate puppet show if they think it was candle cove in the 80s.

I remenber being young, from like age 1 to 6, there was this show called "oobi", I think. I don't remember much about it, but I know I would hysterically cry and scream when it played on Noggin(old nick jr). I remember that there was an episode with a weird noise, a dark background, and weird lighting. My mother and grandmother never saw anything wrong with it, however. I dunno if it's just a child thing, or maybe it was visible, and my family wasn't in the room, or were preoccupied. Anyone else remember??

My disturbing childhood TV show memory is this: When I was little in the last 1970s-1980s there was a live action show based on the fairytale Rapunzel starring the puppets of Mr Roger's Neighborhood and some of it's human costars. The Lady Elaine puppet was the mother/witch and the human woman that was always in Make Believe Land played the princess. There was a scene where the human prince is pushed out the tower window and his eyes are scratched with thorns and then he crawls around in the desert bleeding and crying out for several minutes.

Yes, hell yes. When I was very young, in the late 70s and early 80s, I lived in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I used to watch Sesame Street as all kids did, on PBS. When there was an interruption in the broadcast, a black and white image of the main SS characters would come on screen. The image horrified me for some reason. I would scream bloody murder and cry. Snuffleuppagus off to the left was this floating head and his long trunk, no body. I had dreadful insomnia for years, as every time I closed my eyes to go to sleep, Snuffleuppagus would slowly form in my vision off to the left. Every night. I would only fall to sleep from pure exhaustion. I have tried, as an adult, to find the same image to see if I am equally horrified as an adult, but I have not been successful (and that is possibly a very good thing, who knows? I could be back into the cycle all over of that eerie black and white head and trunk forming in my mind when I closed my eyes).

Thank you for pointing out the detail that "Candle Cove" was broadcasted on Local 58. While "Candle Cove" has become associated with the paranormal, both it and Local 58 have the connection of being sinister media you weren't supposed to see - including the connection of a dark "Show for Children" starring a skeleton.
I doubt that Kris planned for these connections from the beginning, but it's insanely good writing and world building nonetheless.

What I remember was a house and a few puppets, and they would end every episode by singing the words "so long" and the door to the house would close. my siblings and i have a similar experience with a german movie called “the ketchup vampires” when you look it up, there is no information except where to buy copies of the movies. i have both “ketchup vampires” 1 and 2 so i know that the movies are real, but nobody else has ever heard of them. very underground, i guess? but what’s creepy is that on IMDB there’s no cast, no director listed, only Elvira Mistress of the Dark. that’s it, no info. there might not even be a synopsis available, and if there is, it’s only three sentences that aren’t really indicative of the plot. very strange. gives me a “does anyone remember candle cove” vibes.
