There are three ways to play Minecraft online. Your first option is going to be Minecraft Realms - it’s the official, paid multiplayer server hosting service provided by Mojang, the creators of Minecraft.
The second option is self-hosting your own private Minecraft server, it will come in especially handy If you prefer more control and customization options.
The third option is renting out a third-party server. There are numerous third-party hosting services available that provide Minecraft server hosting.

How to set up a Minecraft server
Install NordVPN:
1. Go to nordvpn.com/me....
2. Download the app.
3. Log in or sign up.
4. Make sure Meshnet is up and running.
Bedrock:
1. Go to www.minecraft.....
2. Agree to the terms and conditions.
3. Download the zip archive and unpack it.
4. Run the server.
Java:
1. Install JDK.
2. Download Java runtime www.minecraft.....
3. Unzip it into a separate folder.
4. Open the notepad and enter this code into it:
@ECHO OFF
java -Xms1024M -Xmx2048M -jar minecraft_server.jar --nogui
pause
5. Save the file inside the server folder. Choose “All files” in the “Save as…” type dropdown.
6. Make sure you add the .bat extension at the end of your launch script file name.
7. Run the script by double-clicking on the server launcher batch file.
Meshnet:
1. Open the NordVPN app on the computer that will be hosting the Minecraft server.
2. Go to the Meshnet section and then - “External devices.”
3. Invite your friends by entering their email address, tick the remote access features boxes and hit send.
4. To connect, grab the server’s Meshnet nord name and type it in Minecraft.

Why not just allow port forwarding, and don't give that "its unsafe" excuse
because its unsafe? and a free open door for anyone who has atleast 1% knowledge? thats like saying "do i wanna use a 3rd party tool or open my doors for robberys?"
i dont get your point in this case, Meshnet isnt the best solution but is a valid solution thats awesome for some programms (not minecraft because free hosts exist) but thats okay. and they educate you pretty well. port forwarding is a huge security risk. no person with knowledge would do that ever, (without a proper firewall or setup)
lets be clear, it isnt unsafe if you know what ur doing, but this is for normies. for people who dont know what a DNS is.
and for them? its better in any way to use the Meshnet then using port-forwarding, and its way easier.
Port forwarding is not always an option. For example, if you're living in a dorm and/or using a mobile internet connection you won't be able to simply open up certain ports. On top of that, forwarding ports is only part of the fix, you have to consider that most internet service providers no longer provide you with a static IP address for free, so you also need a dynamic DNS service to take care of that.
