Can we please appreciate this guy who replies to every comment/question to help us enjoy a game that is 20 years old ! Sometimes we forget the real value of this, its amazing the time this guy puts in it.
Someone else pointed this out to me about a week ago. I had no idea! I had never tried to put her into Stealth without it. I am still learning things about this game lol
I didn't know you could make him join the exchange. I knew you could kill the 2 guards at the refugee entrance instead but I have never tried getting him to join the exchange. I will definitely try that out on my next run!
@@predatorclean6190 That is good info to know. Sometimes players will still need to do more to trigger the exchange to notice them so this is definitely good info to have!
Switch version is great on the go but definitely recommend a PC version if you have a laptop or computer. The game goes on sale for $3 all the time. Well worth the extra copy for the mods! :)
I get one at Nar Shadda early. One part at Citidal, go to Nar Shadda, run in and out defeat Visas, use Handmaiden to dance and get 3rd piece. Have Bao Dur build one, then Visis dupe the hell out of them. Go to Dantoonie and get crystals.

I pretty much just do enough on Nar Shadda to get my lightsaber, then, after duping 3 more, I head over to Dantoonie to get crystals and I get myself up to level 15 to change from Sentinel to Weapons Master. I need those skill points early is the reason I start as Sentinel. Once I get some good crystals I have Visis duplicate 7 more so that my eventual Jedi, Handmaiden and Mira as well as Visis herself will each have 2. I later make 1 more for Kreia just before it's time I have to take her to Onderon.
Where's the best vendor to try the re load glitch for grey jedi or dark jedi knight robes? It's annoying walking around in random armor and I know that glitch still works, any help would be great.
The Fassa Freighters Quest on the Docks on Nar Shaddaa is probably the best one. I am actually working on a video right now that goes over doing the quest to get certain robes and armor. That might not help you out right his instant lol but just google Fassa Freighter quest and that's the best one to do the save re-load trick cuz you always get a rare item spawn from finishing that quest. Hope this helps!
I went to nar shadaa for my first planet and actually got 3 lightsabres and lvl 15+prestige before goto’s yacht on my current ds playthrough. I did the 2 methods you showed and got one from hussef. You can just lie to the squid about the dude who has a terrible disease and persuade the squid to give the refugees more space, then go talk to hussef for the lightsabre. You gain no light or dark side points from this. After you do this, you can still kill the squid for the 3k+ total exp that i needed for lvl 15. I did this by finding&telling adana to go to her mother (ik, not dark side choice), then force persuade the squid to forget about adana and her mother or something. Then i had the choice to say “i’ll still kill you” (to the squid) and by killing him u get 2k exp and 1k for completing the quest about adana+her mother and now the gamorrean guards will attack you for even more exp. Edit: what lightsabre hussef gives is entirely random, i reloaded my save and managed to get short lightsabre, lightsabre and double-bladed lightsabre
You should be able to chat with him right when you meet him. You can say something like "I am robbing you", or "prepare to die". Then you kill him and the part should be loot on his body. You will gain Darkside points for killing him.
If you don't have a color crystal, the game will auto assign you one when Bao Dur crafts your lightsaber. Sometimes the Duros brothers on the Citadel Station will have one. I know Geeda in the main area of Nar Shaddaa sells a yellow one. Then of course the salvagers on Dantooine. If you have one on you when you craft the lightsaber, the game will throw that one into your crafted saber!
Sometimes it can be buggy. Best to save right before so if you don't get it you can quick reload and try again. Another thing to note is you don't get it from the container. You get it when you click on the container but before the contents show. Kinda weird
I also found that if you talk to the refugee chief, I think his name is Hueseff but, if you talk to him after you get the refugees more space from the exchange by talking to the squid dude, he will give you a lightsaber. I was playing on base version not TSLRCM so I don't know if it works on there.
@@CatDaddyGaming What's interesting is, I recently picked up the Nintendo switch version and that lightsaber isn't there but, the original Xbox version it is, so its probably just a mistake they made when rushing to release the original Xbox version.
Do the save reload technique. Save right before getting lightsaber. Get lightsaber, if it's short reload save and try again. I dislike short sabers as well. I only tolerate 1 short lightsaber (Freedon Nadd's) and I give it to Kreia. Other than that I will save reload until I get a regular one. I'm not a youngling or Yoda lol XD
Yes you do have to defeat her at some point. You can build your saber with other part locations first through if needed. Check out my other Lightsaber Build video for some other lightsaber part locations if you don't want to or can't fight her right away. She is a companion you will need to trigger some of the main story later on in the game so fighting her is unavoidable, but you can delay it if you don't get too many Light/Dark side points!
Just chat with him and you should have the option to mention him building you a lightsaber. He will tell you if you are missing any pieces. Once you have all 3 pieces you can ask him to build it for you right there on the spot no matter where you are. The color will be random unless you already have a color crystal in your inventory.

@@CatDaddyGaming yeah I remember playing the 1st(I bought em both recently I had never played em before. Gotta love backwards compatibility)and the save reload worked when bugs happened but it didn't this time. Right after I made this comment though I followed what I saw on another comment. I put the item in a container went back and for some reason it worked lol NOT having the crystal made having all the items work. They gave me a random green color I went and got my blue crystal back. Did all that and my immediate next mission I got a lightsaber from dude trapped in the jedi enclave.

I was going full light side and went to Korriban. Found what I needed for a lightsaber (orange), then beat visas. I made an orange dual blade and then went to equip it but had a yellow dual blade as well. Was that from the visas fight?
Most likely. With lightsabers they are usually randomly generated for you. You'll either get a regular, dual blade, or short. I swear everytime I fight Visa I get a short lightsaber, and I hate it lol. If you are awarded a lightsaber at some point and dont like it, you could reload right before and do it again until you get one you want. Once you find all the lightsaber parts, any place that would have given you a part, will now give you a full saber since you have all 3 pieces. So if you get all saber pieces before Visa, she will drop a full lightsaber. After your first one the game throws them at you lol
Oh ok. I think I'll save it for later though. I didn't even know about short lightsabers. I might meet other force sensitive allies and I can just give it to them. Idk I am new to this game despite it being this old and look forward to giving it to someone other than people who try to put me in the dark side (I suspect Kreia due to dialogue).
Ah man, you are in for a treat! lol I do not want to give you any spoilers or anything but just be sure to talk to your companions every so often, especially after its says you have gained influence with someone. I have a few more guides for KOTOR 2 up on my channel that might help, but they may be somewhat spoiler-ish, since you won't find out some of the stuff on your own.
I have heard of this happening before. Sometimes you get one here but the prompt doesn't happen. Try checking your inventory. You get the saber as you click on the container and not actually from the contents. Occasionally the game will not give it to you. Best bet is to be sure you save before completing the dance. Then you can reload and try again if you didn't get one there.
Someone may chime in with some better advice but here is what I do. So Handmaiden is generally lightsided. Any darkside action you perform will upset her. I have heard if you piss her off too much while darkside, she will go super lightside. I take advantage of the alignment influence since I usually and Consular with all the mind powers. I just turn her Jedi, then leave her out of the party and go about my way of being super darkside. Her alignment will start to match yours but not fully. You will need to have her in the party with you while you do darkside stuff. Killing is a no go. But for example, turning in the tampered will on Dantooine will yield you darkside points. Have her in the party when you get these darkside triggers and she will slowly start going Darkside and corrupt. Best bet is to save before doing darkside actions, that way if she gets pissed off, you can reload and remove her from the party lol I have only done it a few times cuz it is rather difficult and time consuming. I usually take HK and Visa for darkside playthoughs and pretend Visa is my loyal sith apprentice and HK's one liners are the best!
I'm playing the game for the second time, but I'm not making it out of Citadel. I chose Czark (the company) but she didn't give me access to her ship. How do I get it?
Did you already steal the Droid from the Ithorians? You have to deal with the Ithorian Droid quest and then the exchange portion and you should be good to proceed. The head chick there should give you both quests.
@@CatDaddyGaming I did all that, delivered the droid, did the luxa missions, went back to the barracks, I defeated the mercenaries then went to the harbor, but the door wouldn't open.
@@HskbsShaobs You head down to dock 3 and door still locked? Lorso should tell you a shuttle is ready when you finish the exchange. If I remember correctly, dock 1 is from you arriving l, dock 2 is the Ithorian dock, and dock 3 is for Czerka.
I build my saber after the wife husband quest, but for some reason when I knocked out the dogs and broke into the room there was no part or lightsaber. Nar shada is my 1st planet
Interesting. I have had a few different people tell me they experienced that same issue. I am not 100% sure what would be causing it. First thing I would suggest is just reloading before you did it and try again. I know that is basic level help, but it could have just been an error or issue in the loot spawning. Sometimes if you click too fast you won't see yourself get the lightsaber. See if it is in your inventory. The game gives it to you before opening up the actual container so its possible to click past it and then see nothing as contents from the container lol
@@CatDaddyGaming so I just made the exchange quaran ease up on the refugees and returned to the old guy in the middle of the refugee sector and he said thanks and it automatically gave me a short red bladed light saber.
Oh no! Hopefully you don't get too far past it and can reload a previous save. I have way too many saves for that very reason. Not too big of deal since you will end up with plenty of lightsabers late game, but surely hurts more at the beginning when you don't have enough sabers for everyone on the team

@@TheAngelRaven It was actually going Lightside! I can easily get it to trigger on Telos Lightside. My earliest Darkside was my first Darkside action on my first planet (Nar Shaddaa). Although I will admit I wasn't trying to trigger it as early as possible. Next playthrough I will try for fastest trigger Darkside!
@@CatDaddyGaming I'm playing it on the Switch and I did the drugging of the dogs and looked into the containers and there was no lightsaber and no lens. It's the LAST part I need to create a light Saber. I have the blind girl and she didn't give me anything either.
@@payneicecold3000 That's odd. I've heard of Voggas stash not giving you one. Usually a reload of last save does the trick. You most definitely get one when defeating Visas.
Oh find another thing. Actually you can get 3 lightsabers. I mean I got 3, but maybe the third was random. You must speak Hussef and he will ask you to convince their leader to give them more space bc of the illnes. I do it peacfuly, just talking. Maybe its a 2 minute mission. And when Hussef thanked me he gave me a SHORT lightsaber. Maybe just because of the two weapon fighting skill, idk. Jump on it, at least you waste 2 min of your gametime.

You don't have to put the stealth field generator on Kreia, she alrdy can go stealth.

It took me a long time to build my first saber. I only managed to do it when I went to Planet 4 (from the mission to find the Jedi)
Always had to have my brother help me build mine until I memorized all the locations for the parts/sabers lol

Pretty quick, I've never timed it but you could probably have it all done in 5 or 10 minutes if you know exactly what to do and where to go.
I like helping ithorians but still going darkside, i do few good things so the darkside meter is barely hanging on

Crap. Did the dancing quest without knowing what it was for then went off and did other things and now I can't get him to go to sleep.

Reload a previous save and try again. Try having Bao Dur security pick the container
Late comment, and probably oversaid. You can trigger Visas on Telos BEFORE taking the ship to the ground of Telos.
Just did this in my replay.
Very true! The earliest I have triggered the Visas cutscene is when you are helping to defend the Ithorians.

@@CatDaddyGaming I'm playing it on the Switch and I did the drugging of the dogs and looked into the containers and there was no lightsaber and no lens. It's the LAST part I need to create a light Saber. I have the blind girl and she didn't give me anything either.
@@payneicecold3000 That's odd. I've heard of Voggas stash not giving you one. Usually a reload of last save does the trick. You most definitely get one when defeating Visas.
Oh find another thing. Actually you can get 3 lightsabers. I mean I got 3, but maybe the third was random. You must speak Hussef and he will ask you to convince their leader to give them more space bc of the illnes. I do it peacfuly, just talking. Maybe its a 2 minute mission. And when Hussef thanked me he gave me a SHORT lightsaber. Maybe just because of the two weapon fighting skill, idk. Jump on it, at least you waste 2 min of your gametime.
