One thing missed is that the order of Potency and Affinity is alignment based. If you're alignment is below 50%, you get Potency first. This is key if you want to cross-class from Consular to get the better saber forms.
Thank you for pointing this out to me! That is definitely some useful information I should have included. I am going to pin this comment so other viewers can see it! Thank you very much!
What about going the other way? If I'm a dark jedi sentinel and unlocked shien first then prestige into sith lord, do I get potency or affinity? Is the second form you get the "second" form overall or is it the first one since this is the first "sith lord from" I've unlocked?
@@JustWillB it should give you Potency next in that scenario. You lose out on the last form on their list, but the good ones are usually one of the first two.
Lol I'm blown away by how many people still play this awesome game. Says a lot about the game when it is still played quite regularly by tons of people 15 years later.
I’ll be playing KOTOR 1&2 as long as I can. I have hard copies and I have them both on mobile. Just in case mobile gets shut down or they quit remaking it, I have the hard disc and XBox original to keep playing.
It's worth noting that combat-based forms are only active when a lightsaber is equipped, while non-combat forms have no restrictions. So if you built up your character with a gunslinger build you can just forget about trying to use them.
This inspired me to create a "Darth Bane" themed build using massive Lightning attacks, focusing on the Shien lightsaber form and taking only a single Sith apprentice. I will update my comment when it's ready.
Oooo! That sounds really cool actually!! Do update the comment and let me know how it goes. I don't think I'll get notified if you edit the comment but I should get notified if you reply to this reply. Best of luck on your build!
@@CatDaddyGaming Sorry for the late reply. I just wanted to 1) thank you for awnsering my comment and for taking the time to make amazing and comprehensive videos about Kotor2, they are very useful for people like me who don't really want to make calculations all the time while leveling up. 2) While I have not abandoned my little 'project' about making Darth Bane in KotOR 2 (bcz the setting allows you to roleplay with a lot of personal freedom as opposed to the first Game) I've encountered several gameplay-wise obstacles that make doing this build harder than I anticipated, like for example: The fact that Bane does not make use of Heal makes fights much more difficult and that he is a master of the Force Rage power but if he is a Sith Lord class (the one that fits him the most, lore-wise) he has no access to it. However, despite this I've not given up! I'm re-reading the Bane novels mainly for personal enjoyment but also to have a better grasp at his character so that building him in Kotor comes more naturally. Hopefully in my next comment the build will be ready. Sorry for the long comment, I wanted to update on this to tell you that this isn't dead and to, again, thank you for making amazing videos regarding Kotor2.
@@jakobrenner2230 So I'm late on this, but here's a suggestion in case you wanna do a re-build. Start as a guardian class so you can build your Bane as an early tank. Put points into strength (14), Constitution (14 and Wisdom (14), then divvy up the rest between the other attributes. Or double down and go strength/constitution at 16. But I'd encourage you to do the even split so you can have a better start on your Force pool When you hit level 12 and prestige, go Sith Lord and then sink all future points into wisdom/charisma. You can buy/craft/loot items to help your weak points. And use a single saber with master dueling for the attack/defense bonus. That way you still have tank tendencies while being able to deal devastating lightning damage by level 20 or so. No, you dont get the Marauder's rage, but the early combat bonuses from being a Guardian will kinda make up for that. If you use the attribute, feat and Force progression mods, this is less of an issue (if at all). But if you're doing a pure build, I think that's the way to go.
I love Makashi it is just so alluring to duel Sion (or other lightsaber wielding foes) one on one with single lightsaber and destroying him I basically alternate between Makashi (dueling enemies) and Soresu (vs blaster bolt)
Hope you enjoyed it! I am blown away at how many people still play this game. Shows how great of a game it is when you fire this bad boy up instead of the new Call of Duty game lol!
Yes very true. I should have made more of a point that the +3 and -3 combine to give you 0 vs target. Thanks for pointing that out. I'll pin this so others can see! 👍🏻
@@CatDaddyGaming Regarding the 3 Force Forms learned by Jedi Consular and Sith Lord/Jedi Master, you will learn Force Potency first before Force Affinity if you are Dark Side while you will learn Force Affinity first before Force Potency if you are Light Side. Force Mastery is still the final Force Form to learn for both side.
You should mention that TSLRCM allows you to teach your Jedi the other lightsaber forms. All except Kreia and Handmaiden (which sucks since Soldier girl is my favorite).
You are 100% correct! That is something that would have been very good to include in the video. Maybe I will have to make another video covering that specifically. I was reading that Disciple is another one you can't teach forms too. I will mess around with it and see.
@@FeanorHighKingOfTheNordor Dude, it’s the only way to truly enjoy this game! Don’t know if you noticed, but a lot of the game was cut so that the publisher (Obsidian Entertainment) could make the target date for release. However, Obsidian left most of that work hidden in the game files. So a group of modders worked for years to release TSLRCM, a mod using that work and COMPLETED the full story, just as it was intended. More scenes, more quests, more character development, just as it should have been. Seriously, try it out, TSLRCM is available for PC, Android and iTunes versions.
love your vids man, somehow just now started playing this game so i’m a little late to the party😂 game gets super confusing at first so i’ve watched almost all of your guides and now i am a true jedi🥳
i wish it just told me this in the game. I had no idea the forms did other things like give +1 attack or +2 to defense, always just thought it was for deflection rolls or force points.
I completely understand where your coming from. I played this game for like 10 years before I realized it was beneficial to change lightsaber forms lol
It does tell you. I know this is old, but if you go in the menu, under powers and click on the differen forms, it gives you the info. I play on Steam. So maybe that was one of the updates, but yeah.
Really glad you enjoy them! I totally agree! I couldn't believe how many people still play this game even though it is 15 years old. Shows just how good it was lol!
@@player2-lightwater914 You can add the TSLRCM to any PC version I believe, even the OG disc copies. Just got to be able to add files into the games directory. A quick google search on how to mod the game will tell you how to add an "override" file in your games directory. After this just download the mods you want and add them into the "override" folder. You could also download the TSL Patcher or something similar to handle installing mods. Whichever you are most comfortable with!
@@player2-lightwater914 Do you want the combo M4-78 + TSLRCM? Or just the regular TSLRCM? I'll try to find the link for you. Another option is to add Kotor 2 to your Steam Library as a non-Steam game and then use the mods from the Steam Workshop, but I haven't tested that out fully. Steam has some solid TSLRCM files that have worked great for me for years!
Force Affinity should've had bonus defense against the Dark Side and an upgrade to support moves. That way, even though it would heal slower than Force Channel, there would be a reason for players to use it. Plus, it could've contrasted with Force Potency as a demonstration of the Light vs the Dark.
Could you do a guide on the prestige/ beginner classes? Im still kinda confused about the differences between classes like watchmen, sentinel and sith lord.
That would be a good video to do. Have you checked out the Begginers Guide video I have done? Covers those lightly. I need to remake it as I have learned a great deal more since I made it.
"shien: is least effective when attacking a single foe" clearly the game hasnt seen my dual wield 4 attacks per round power attack crit build which can regularly do more than 100 damage per crit. the only build better was the 6 attacks per round, and that was only cause it missed less.
The difference between a Palawan and a Jedi Knight: A Jedi Knight knows how to use some forms. Also I guess what makes combat in this game a lot better than you'd think for such an old game with a d20 system (I like it, but I wonder what the zoomers think of it lol) :D
What's your personal opinion on the best form if you were going a master critical strike build? I know most people say Juyo is the best form but I've seen other people argue for Ataru for higher chance or Shien for higher damage as well.
So I think I would have to go with Juyo since it has the +4 Critical Hit Attack Multiplier as well as the extra attack. Pair it with Master Speed and you have an even better chance to get another hit with it. Runner up would be Shien cuz it has the Critical Multiplier combined with the Attack Modifier. Ataru isn't a bad choice by any means but it doesn't have an Attack Modifier like the other 2 so that's why I would pick those 2 over Ataru. Do let me know if you try out Ataru and it is a good choice.
That is a good idea! I hadn't considered that one before. I will have to learn it a bit better cuz I usually get stomped on by the computer. That is an excellent idea though. I will add it to my to do list. Thank you very much for the suggestion!
So of all the prestige forms only Shien is useful in most situations. Everything else is useful for most Jedi. Force channel is excellent if you are playing Jedi Master build. I trained all the extra force and lightsaber forms and abilities to my companions. Appart from Deciple who does not seem to have that option.
Oh definitely. I played this game for years without changing from the standard Determination Form Lol didn't even know you could for a really long time!
M4-78 throws a wrench in the normal Form acquiring since it is an extra planet and gives you that extra form. I also got Niman from there last time I played. I'll have to play through with a different class and see if I still get Niman from M4-78.
Great video! I had a couple questions: Were you saying if you start out as say Sentinel, you would still get the lightsaber forms even if you chose to prestige as Master/Lord? Or does it mean getting the forms before prestiging and then having those forms as Master/Lord? Same as starting with Consular, going Weaponmaster/Marauder and still getting the 3 Force forms? Another question, the passive Force power that allows you to deflect and reflect blaster bolts without a lightsaber: do the forms increase this when also holding a blaster or vibroblade or do the forms only apply when holding a lightsaber (and is there a way to check the blaster bolt deflection stat on console)? I need to do some digging.
Thank you very much! So for your first example, Sentinel into Master/Lord, as long as you stay Sentinel, you will get the Sentinel forms. Once you prestige you will start getting whatever you prestiged into forms. So for example, if you start Consular, you will get Force Affinity and Force Potency, then if you prestige into Weaponsmaster/Maurader, you will get Juyo as your last form since you are now that class. Whatever class you currently are will determine what form you learn. Now for the blaster bolt deflection. Blaster bolt deflection only works with a lightsaber until you get the Force Power Force Deflection. Once you get that power, then you can deflect blaster bolts without wielding a lightsaber. So once you have that Force Power, then forms boosting blaster bolt deflection, and any other boosts to that stat apply to you at all times no matter what weapon you are using. As far as I know, there isn't a way to check you blaster bolt deflection stats without manually adding up the numbers you see. Hope this helps out. Happy to answer any other questions! :)
@@CatDaddyGaming I'm new to all this. So if I'm a Sentinel I could learn shien and then become a Jedi Master afterwards? Would I have to learn it before prestiging? My understanding of the strategy wiki is that Sentinels can learn Shien first. As well as Watchmen and Assassins. Or am I misunderstanding how it works? Thanks for any reply, I know this is an old comment section. I just wanted to clarify. Sorry for making you repeat yourself 😅
@@seb5542 I think you got it. I believe Gaurdians get Shien first. But both Guardians and Sentinels will get Shien. Wait to get the form before prestige. If you go Jedi Master before you get Shien, you will not get it.
You flatter me my friend! I think I know a lot, but once in a while someone will come around and school me on KOTOR knowledge lol. I'm still learning new stuff about the game. The peeps on Reddit are crazy knowledgeable!
It will definitely help towards it. Ataru has -4 to blaster bolt deflection. Force Redirection gives you +3 to blast bolt deflection so it won't entirely negate the negatives but will get you pretty close. A lightsaber crystal would probably do the trick to get you fully into positive number blaster bolt deflection.
@@CatDaddyGaming I'm a counselor who wants to learn juyo but you said I must learn 6 forms then switch to a prestige class before fighting the final jedi to get juyo. I was wondering which lost jedi you were speaking of and how I obtain the 2 other forms to fill the slots before prestiging to obtain juyo
@@DRSTCMSUR So the forms will come to you regardless of which Jedi Master you face. You will learn 3 forms from the Lost Jedi. You just want to make sure you prestige to Weaponsmaster/Maurader before you face the last Jedi. So I tried to look into this for you and after many forums I can say I honestly have no clue. A lot of people speculate that Revan was a Consular due to how masterful he was in the Force. However others argue his Lightsaber combat was so fierce that he must have been a Guardian. Most people agree he was a Soldier to begin with but I did read a good post about how Revan was very skilled with Droids and other skills so it would make sense that he was a Scout possessing many many skills. Hard to say honestly. Since Revan was a very talented Jedi it is possible he was some sort of Hybrid of the 3 classes.
@@CatDaddyGaming thanks a lot! That's a solid great answer Yeah, I also thought him to be a Scout due to his Wide Skills with droids, I mean T3 and HK to say the least of All the droids present in KOTOR and neither Soldiers Nor Scoundrells posses that Skill in their abilities Again, thanks a lot for the answer :)
@@condedepiamonte93 No problem at all! I love this kind of stuff. I totally agree Scout comes to mind when thinking of his skill set. I also thought of it this way, what if he was Scout Conselor becoming super Force Powerful, and then when his mind was wiped he basically reset and started going more Guardian set. So he was focused on Lightsaber combat up until he found out who he was. Then with his 2 halves coming together that just made him a master of 2 Jedi classes since he had to relearn with a clear mind. So much fun to think about and play what if lol
@@CatDaddyGaming i wonder if thats delbirate, to account for player choices. Then again canon revan takes some odd turns so im not sure im really worried about it anymore

@@azidal3755 Happy to help! Glad the videos are being useful. Yeah I haven't gotten to the broken part of the switch version yet so hopefully the warp workaround does the trick. Hoping they fix it soon!
Eh, that might have been just later on. To me, you can't truly master Form VI without mastering the first five forms, and considering the Jedi in the Clone Wars era who used Niman all sucked, they clearly didn't do that. Not surprisingly, they were Consulars.
I hear this guy likes the ability to have blastsr deflection. Does this mean that the blaster lasers get deflected back at the droids to hit them or is it only deflection?
There is a power for both. First one will be deflection. With that unlocked, you can then upgrade to redirection. Like it sounds, first one just deflects the blaster bolts in another direction (not hitting you), Redirection sends it back at the attacker.
Perform evil actions like murdering people and taking advantage of strangers. Your companions typically won't like this unless the are darksided but stops you from being mean to them.

I’m trying to create a more accurate type game according to how Meetras story went, do they have those Cyan blue crystals in the vanilla version or do they only have the standard blue?
I am pretty sure they were in the vanilla version. The only color I have added into the game was the Darksaber color. I remember the vanilla version having the off colors before other titles. Like Cyan, Veridian, Bronze, and Orange.
@@froginatophat1042 No problem! Only a few merchants sell certain for sure items. I think the rest are randomly generated. I don't know of anyone who sells Cyan everytime. Best bet would be Dantooine. The merchants outside the Enclave have the best variety of colors I think. Next best bet is the Crystal Cave on Dantooine. Make a save slot before you enter the cave. Go through the cave and collect all the crystals. If you don't get Cyan, reload the save before you entered and do it again. You should eventually get one with that method if the merchants outside the Enclave don't have one.
@@michaelzajac5284 Just looked it up in the guide and I have absolutely no clue what that is. I haven't seen that in game before. Isn't is possible to learn an extra force form if you have M4-78 installed and meet master Vash? And also to teach the companions the forms with the restored content mod? Great video though, I didn't know any of the specifics about what the forms do, the game doesn't communicate it very well.
You are correct in getting an extra form on M4-78. In my playthrough I recorded I got Niman from Master Vash and I was a Sith Lord. I should have incorporated this into the video. Thank you for pointing this out for other readers!
@@CatDaddyGaming By the book, Niman is only for Sentinel and Sith Assassin/Jedi Watchman while Juyo is only for Guardian and Sith Marauder/Jedi Weapon Master.
This is the Juyo lightsaber form. It is the final lightsaber form learned by Jedi Guardian, Jedi Weapon Master, or Sith Marauder. You will need to be one those classes when you learn the final lightsaber form to acquire Juyo.
@@pratyushchattopadhyay1299 If you save often and in many slots, you can go back and make crucial changes without having to play through all the beginning. However, that is a good excuse for another playthrough lol
If you go into Jedi Watchman/Sith Assassin then you can get Niman. I know for sure Consular/Jedi Master/Sith Lord won't get them. See quite a few guides on Reddit for how to get it for Guardian. But essentially Guadian gets Juyo Sentinel gets Niman and Consualr gets Force Mastery.
Don't take this the wrong way, but it's CON-sul-ar, not COUN-cil-or. A Consular is a diplomat or emissary, while a counselor is a person that gives guidance with personal or mental problems.
You can switch your lightsaber form whenever. Its should be the far right little box on the bottom menu during playing. Best to change it right before you engage in battle but I am pretty sure you can change it during battle to get the effects to work for you on your next attack.
@@CatDaddyGaming yeah sure, I know all this I meant, both Juyo and Ataru are used for single foe, but I don't understand when to use one or the other What types of ennemies requires Ataru and what type for Juyo ?
@@neantdistordu982 I would say that is personal preference. Maybe try them both out and see which one you like more. Ataru might be good against boss fights or other Jedi opponents since it has the bigger boost to defense from target. The minus to blaster bolt deflection will suck if they are other opponents shooting at you at the same time. Juyo has the critical hit multiplier and the extra attacks. Pair with master speed to get even more extra attacks per round. I myself would go with Juyo for boss fights or tough single enemies. The extra attacks plus the critical hit boost will certainly help with taking down tougher foes.
Forms are for peasants who don't know how to jam 50 Opila crystals into a lightsaber :') I've been having a lot of fun with exploits and builds on my 500,000th playthrough. Even though I could possibly recite all the dialogue in the game, I never get bored with it. I really need to get this game on PC so I can experience the wonderful mod that allows our Lord and saviour HK-47 to go and take a huge flaming dump in the HK-50 factory.
You seem to have some weird notions about Force points; by level 10 or so, unless you're a guardian that has completely negated wisdom, you're going to have so many FP that you can spam all force powers to your hearts content, by level 20 you can spam powers of the opposite alignment to your hearts content as well. Force point regeneration and and FP bonuses are rather useless, and force potency will never eat away your limitless pool of force points, especially considering that you'll be able to clear an entire room in about two to three casts of rank 3 lightning, which as a dark side user costs 10 FP, 12 with force potency. My first playthrough of this game was with a Light Side Jedi Sentinel/Watchman, and I used exclusively force lightning to defeat all enemies. Also, Charisma is not nearly as good as Wisdom, even when casting powers of opposite alignment. A charisma modifier of +1 reduces the cost of opposite alignment powers by 1, meaning that you save 1 FP per cast. At level 10 already, a +1 modifier in wisdom is worth 9 FP, meaning that for Charisma to be better than wisdom, you'll have to cast 9 powers of opposite alignment in a single battle. At level 10. At level 20 that's 19 casts. There isn't a single battle that lasts long enough for Charisma to make a difference. The only reason to focus on Charisma instead of Wisdom is to max persuasion, and since that skill isn't nearly as useful in TSL as it was in the first game, I don't think there's a point to that. Also, as a male exile, you learn that wisdom to defense feat from Handmaiden, which further benefits wisdom. NEVER focus on Charisma at the expense of Wisdom. As far as lightsaber forms are concerned, your character becomes pretty much invulnerable around level 15 or so due to having so many hitpoints and flat out damage reduction from force powers like barrier and energy resistance, so you don't really care about defensive bonuses that much. Especially Blaster Bolt deflection is utterly useless. What you want is maximizing your damage output, which in term depends on your build and your chosen combat feat. A single saber build will most likely want to use Juyo to make up for missing that off-hand attack. Power attack works nice as well, with a threat range of 4 you'll get to benefit from those x3 crits. Critical Strike goes incredibly well with Shien and those lovely x3 crits, obviously, while Power Attack works best with Juyo. Ataru sounds nice as it increases threat range by 1, but it isn't worth an extra attack. If you're going for Crit based damage, you obviously want to skip the saberstaff due to its inferior threat range, and go with dual wielding or single saber. Dual Wielding, you definitely want to go Juyo + Power attack, the flat damage increase for 5 attacks is 60 damage per round for rank 3 Power attack, which is probably quite a bit more than a single swing does even without factoring in that x3 crit. Or Shien + Critical Strike, 4 attacks with roughly 50% chance to crit amounts to 8 normal hits worth of damage per round with those x3 crits from shien. Power attack + Shien nets you about 20% chance to crit, which with 4 attacks means roughly 6.4 normal hits worth of damage per round on average, which is nice when you factor in that +12 per swing from power attack, but not as good as Juyo + Power attack, which nets you an average of roughly 7 normal hits worth of damage per round. In essence, you'll want either Shien or Juyo, depending on whether you're using Critical Strike or Power attack. If you're going for a flurry build for whatever bizarre reason, just use Juyo. If you're a consular, you'll be spamming lighting all day, doing anything else is a waste of time, and your Force pool is essentially unlimited, so Force Potency is the one you'll be using 100% of the time. I mean, you can deduce these things using 3rd grade math, it isn't that difficult, a 10 year old can do it provided they've been listening in school.
@@familyfirstnation4605 Interesting! I did not know this. Yeah that one is not in the game. I just looked it up on Wookieepedia and it mentioned it was developed later on than Shien so it's possible it just hadn't been created yet. There might be some more lore that would explain it better.
Niman being a Sentinel-exclusive doesn't make sense in the lore. Same with Force Channel being available to the Guardian. I feel like they should be switched, so the Guardian has all seven lightsaber forms, and no Force forms. Niman was taught as the basic principle before mastering into its specialty Jar'Kai. Jar'Kai is the form that focuses on two-handed lightsaber combat. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense for Niman to be then a Sentinel lightsaber form, when the defacto dual-wielder class is Guardian. It's not lore-breaking for Sentinels to learn Niman. In fact, it's rather accurate. Niman being the balanced class, the jack-of-all-trades, the skilled-in-all-master-of-none, ... it was commonly favoured among Jedi peacekeepers, seekers, and diplomats. Having the versatility the Niman form offered, it was only logical for the Jedi to consider it the foundation of the Jar'Kai technique. It is no surprise then that many Jedi often learnt the Niman form after mastering on of the other six forms. It was suited as a proper form to fall back on when their mastered form, let's say Soresu or Ataru, was not a proper form for their current situation.
Oh interesting! I didn't know that! I always love hearing the lore and how there is so much more to one aspect. I would bet that the form distribution to certain classes was mainly focused on balancing them. Someone there was probably pulling in lore for most of the game but the guy in charge of mechanics didn't wanna make any of the classes over or under powered. Probably why Guardian gets Force Channel. That way people playing as Guardian also have the ability to use a good amount of Force centered powers. This is all just speculation of course. I am glad they added them in at least cuz not many other games utilize the forms.
Interesting thought, but in the time of the Old Republic after Exar Kuns assault, the Jedi Watchmen were disbanded (I believe over Ulics betrayal I dunno though) and those that stayed Jedi usually fell back on their original job. Sentinels. Sentinels were infamous for learning the workings of enemy things and learning to use it or adapt it too their side. The Double Lightsaber was one of those weapons. Guardians weren’t really noted as dual wielders or users of the dual saber until way later on.

I’m real happy to see I’m not the only one still playing this game
Lol I'm blown away by how many people still play this awesome game. Says a lot about the game when it is still played quite regularly by tons of people 15 years later.
Ey 😏
I’ll be playing KOTOR 1&2 as long as I can. I have hard copies and I have them both on mobile. Just in case mobile gets shut down or they quit remaking it, I have the hard disc and XBox original to keep playing.
And here we are. They're FINALLY officially releasing Kotor 2 WITH the restored content. The most complete version of the game ever released.
It's worth noting that combat-based forms are only active when a lightsaber is equipped, while non-combat forms have no restrictions. So if you built up your character with a gunslinger build you can just forget about trying to use them.
That is very much worth noting. Thank you for commenting and sharing that information!
@@CatDaddyGaming That info came from the game manual.
But I'd encourage you to do the even split so you can have a better start on your Force pool
When you hit level 12 and prestige, go Sith Lord and then sink all future points into wisdom/charisma.
I wouldn't mind making a naga shadow build but I'm not very good at making build's and I'm new to this game get any tips
Good to have you back, General.
Why thank you very much! :) I am shooting to have another one for Star Wars day, so fingers crossed but I should have enough time!

So a group of modders worked for years to release TSLRCM, a mod using that work and COMPLETED the full story, just as it was intended. i wish it just told me this in the game.

@@CatDaddyGaming I have the original KOTOR 2 game. Is it possible to install the TSLRM into the game or is it counted as a separate game?
@@player2-lightwater914 You can add the TSLRCM to any PC version I believe, even the OG disc copies. Just got to be able to add files into the games directory. A quick google search on how to mod the game will tell you how to add an "override" file in your games directory. After this just download the mods you want and add them into the "override" folder. You could also download the TSL Patcher or something similar to handle installing mods. Whichever you are most comfortable with!
@@CatDaddyGaming Is there a link to TSLRM? Preferably not a broken link

"shien: is least effective when attacking a single foe"
clearly the game hasnt seen my dual wield 4 attacks per round power attack crit build which can regularly do more than 100 damage per crit.
the only build better was the 6 attacks per round, and that was only cause it missed less.
You have caught my attention lol! I am going to give this build a whirl and see how I like it!
The difference between a Palawan and a Jedi Knight: A Jedi Knight knows how to use some forms. Also I guess what makes combat in this game a lot better than you'd think for such an old game with a d20 system (I like it, but I wonder what the zoomers think of it lol) :D
*Padawan
Cool, wasn’t expecting another guide so soon. Think you can do one on Pazaak?
That is a good idea! I hadn't considered that one before. I will have to learn it a bit better cuz I usually get stomped on by the computer. That is an excellent idea though. I will add it to my to do list. Thank you very much for the suggestion!

You should do a force powers video next. Love your videos
Force storm valor heal and armor is honestly all you need ngl
Niman Form VI should have been usable by the Consular as well as the form is also known as the Diplomats Form.
The best part about this is that NONE of this really matters. As long as your stats and gears are sufficient, forms don't really matter.
Oh definitely. I played this game for years without changing from the standard Determination Form Lol didn't even know you could for a really long time!
Thanks, the game isn’t all that specific with this stuff
TSLRCM lets you teach the exile specific forms to jedi companions and you give some the dual wielding feat for free
I got niman as a sentinel lvl 15 and jedi master lvl 7 from m4-74
M4-78 throws a wrench in the normal Form acquiring since it is an extra planet and gives you that extra form. I also got Niman from there last time I played. I'll have to play through with a different class and see if I still get Niman from M4-78.
I wish there was a way to get all the forms as a Guardian.
These videos are actually amazing, before watching your vids I died a lot lmao
Why thank you!! I am.very glad to hear they are being helpful. Definitely took a few playthroughs before I realized how all the mechanics worked
Great video! I had a couple questions:
Were you saying if you start out as say Sentinel, you would still get the lightsaber forms even if you chose to prestige as Master/Lord?

So do the force blaster deflections kind of negate any negs brought on by forms? Makes ataru seem quite strong for early game.
@@CatDaddyGaming nice. Good to know, thanks.
Could you make a video on where to find and kill these lost jedi? I'm trying to get the 3 hit form as counselor but it's super specific

I'll list the Jedis below:

Question
Which class is canon for redeemed Revan? I always play as a Scout Jedi Consular due to the Force Powers and Skills progression
That's a solid great answer
Yeah, I also thought him to be a Scout due to his Wide Skills with droids, I mean T3 and HK to say the least of All the droids present in KOTOR and neither Soldiers Nor Scoundrells posses that Skill in their abilities
Again, thanks a lot for the answer :)
@@condedepiamonte93 No problem at all! I love this kind of stuff. I totally agree Scout comes to mind when thinking of his skill set. So he was focused on Lightsaber combat up until he found out who he was. Then with his 2 halves coming together that just made him a master of 2 Jedi classes since he had to relearn with a clear mind. So much fun to think about and play what if lol

Eh, that might have been just later on. To me, you can't truly master Form VI without mastering the first five forms, and considering the Jedi in the Clone Wars era who used Niman all sucked, they clearly didn't do that. Not surprisingly, they were Consulars.
DW Juyo owns so hard.

I've been having a lot of fun with exploits and builds on my 500,000th playthrough.

CoNsular, not councillor
Wait so is dhem so not in the game
What is that? Not sure if it is a typo or short for something else.
@@CatDaddyGaming dhem so is the first varient of form 5 lightsaber combat which is what Anakin used ig it wasn't a thing yet

I never paid attention to any of this
That's how the first few years of this game were for me. Played through many times while never changing this lol
Everyone pronounces Makashi wrong these days 😅😅
It’s pronounced
‘Ma ka shi’
It’s supposed to sound elegant 😅😅
Jedi.....Counselor?? 😂😂😂
"Force Affiniy Can only be attained by Consulars", "Form VI (Niman) can only be attained by Sentinals", and "Only the main character can learn these forms"...
*laughing in PC mods*
does anyone else cringe when he says "Counsular" instead of "CON-sular"?
Lol I am quite sure they do. Someone else pointed it out to me so from here on out I will focus on pronouncing it correctly. Honestly didn't even realize I was doing it. Worst part is I won't take the video down so I will sound like an idiot in these videos forever! 😂
@@CatDaddyGaming I mean, I definitely don't blame you for not taking down the video. That would be silly. Too much hard work to go to waste over that. Thats just nit-picky of me, and either way, great video. Hands down. I appreciate the kotor 2 videos. I have been playing for 16 years, and its nice to see someone as interested as me still.
You have to laugh at your own mistakes and use them as a learning tool lol I do wanna get these pronunciations down though. And why thank you very much. I really appreciate you saying that. I am blown away how much love this game still has so far after its release. One of the best communities I have come across too.
The pronunciation of Consular is slightly annoying... it's not pronounced like Councillor.
I am aware and have since corrected how I pronounce the word!
@@CatDaddyGaming - Haha, didn't expect a reply! I'm still watching another of your videos at present! 🤣
Dude, moderation absolute garbage……..
Dude, the Consular force forms are useless. I'd just stick to force channel.
Don't know how anyone could play this type of combat gameplay, seems so boring
It's actually really fun. The turn based combat is a little weird at first but building and growing your character is a great effort and reward feeling. Was really crazy back when the game first released!
Is it possible to talk about crystals that are hard to get randomly?
Have you checked out the Lightsaber Upgrade Guide on my channel? I talk a little bit about crystals but it is hard to say with the randomly generated ones. I just googled the rare crystal chances and I came across this reddit post. Check it out! I honestly had no idea what the rate percentage was, but it looks to be based off your current level. The higher level you get, the better the chances of getting the more rare crystals. I will look more into this and maybe put it on my list ideas for a future video! :) Hope this helps out a little bit though!

@@percyknight3700 Yeah that one is a tough one to come across. I feel like you always come across it during the playthroughs where you don't want it lol it was hard for me to get the Hurrikaine Crystal. I think I had to playthrough 3 times after I installed TSLRCM to get it to randomly spawn for me. Maybe I will sidequest a lot to get higher level next time I run through.
