Is it save to say god blesses evil people, look at all the heroes in the bible they were horrible people. He took people from Egypt only to un-alive them all in the wilderness (excluding children born in the wilderness) he couldn't even spare his bff Moses, he promised them other people's wealth i.e land, gold, life stock, etc and he commanded the Israelites to commit horrific and despicable things to other people. The same thing he was commanding them not to do it, he turned around and ask them to do it. That god was a flip floper, how can you trust someone like that?
