We really should support passion projects like Horizon. We should also support the movie-going experience or were going to lose theaters. And Horizon is a very good movie. Its the first chapter of a saga and it totally delivered
I really enjoyed this! Amazing cast! Beautiful cinematography! I’m sad that it hasn’t done well in theaters! I’d definitely rewatch. Great seeing this with you! Nice review!
I just got home from the theater. Overall I really liked it, but the thing that got to me was that on first viewing it was a little jarring with all the different storylines to follow, and with the time jumps here and there. I think it did a really good job balancing each one, and overall I feel like I got a really good sense for a lot of the characters. I'm definitely excited for parts 2-4, and I'll be seeing them all in theaters when they come out
Sorry for getting to this late as i was away on vacation for the last 2 weeks but i have been hearing a lot of mixed things with this one glad to hear that you enjoyed this one i am curious to check it out but feels like a shame that the second movie has been delayed and looks like we dont know when we will see the continuation of this story, but great review man
Looked this movie up and saw that 45% of people liked this film. Makes me worried. I love these kinds of western movies. Love Yellowstone the series and the prequel shows 1883 and 1923. Thank you for the review here man I think you should review more western movies.
Wow! Beautifully explained, because some people go with a different perspective expecting a ending. I don't even mind waiting, because I know its going to be a remarkable experience, especially coming from Kevin Costner.
It’s great you enjoyed this one, Perez. I wasn’t too interested. If there’s any genre that I can never get into, it’s westerns. Before this came out, I said to my friend that I thought it would fail. I just think that with all the choices we have to make, from at-home movies and shows to other movies, the mass audience sitting in a theater for three hours to watch this kind of movie is really low which you sort of touched on. We also live at a faster pace, so I just think it turns off audiences, plus when a movie like this is three hours long, it’s limited on times, and with previews, etc., it takes a big chunk out of your day. That’s not to say it’s a bad movie; I’m just thinking from the perspective of the average person.
@@RavensOsFan89 sure, I can definitely see why it failed. As a long time fan of cinema, who doesn’t really have a genre he isn’t willing to watch, I kinda hate where we’ve come with movies these days. Theres plenty of great options, but I hate that attention spans and quicker paced stuff is the only things that people consider “good”.
@@RavensOsFan89 I grew up on slower paced films. I feel like they often tend to be the best stories. Depends on how it’s edited, but so many fast paced films these days lack depth.

Kostner remains interested in history and that can only be a good thing.
Thanks for sharing this review

So glad I’m not alone in that thought! Thanks for watching and chiming in! Cant wait for part two!
I enjoyed it and the runtime didn't bother me at all. I like how we get to meet several characters, not just a few.

@@AnthonyAPerez preach i understand. Slower paced movies can go either way for me. It just depends.
