Can't wait for Part 2. To me, you are a Master Gardener with a PhD in Engineering. I loved seeing how you plan an area out before proceeding with your project. Great ideas. Thanks.
You are a very hard working young woman and I know that because my hubby of almost 58 years do all the work in our gardens by ourselves. This season we too have planted a lot of different types of liriope grasses because they are low maintenance and tough😊❤️😊
I had to watch tv is again for many reasons. I am Big hydrangea fan I have four lime lights flanking my back fence that’s what drew me to you doing research about limelight. The drip irrigation is just a big plus for me.the second time I watched this I really truly understand what the process was.I cannot wait to see the small ornamental grass grow underneath your limelight. I really dig the fact that you propped up your limelight up with the tomato steaks I am looking forward to mines getting taller they are still about ankle length I am going to fertilize even more so that they continue to grow high
You make everything look so easy! Everytime I watch your videos, I just want to run out to Lowe's to checkout their clearance section. 😆 Can't wait for part 2!
Perfect! Watching you plant those makes me wish I was your neighbor, to loan you my plant auger & drill. It would make easy work of digging those holes. Love it!
Can't wait to see everything done. It already looks good so when your done am sure it will be amazing!! I so want to do drip but not so sure we can. I'm going to keep looking at it. You and Garden Answer, Laura make me want it every time I see yall's garden.
The support rings look to be doing their job your limelight’s look amazing. I went out and bought 5 and started a hedge like yours and I’m so excited!!! Keep on inspiring us girly! 🤗
Looking good. This makes me want to beautify my front lawn. I don’t have any ornamental plants, but I wouldn’t mind if I could get a good deal. Now I’m off to learn more about how you set up your drip irrigation system! 👍🏾😃
I love how hands-on you are in your garden. Hydrangeas are beautiful. Keep up the good work. I'm looking forward to Planting Time part2 😊 and I love your videos 🇿🇦
This girl did pretty smart with her plants. The thing I would change is not to remove plants from containers until ready to actually put them in ground. Hopefully she is far enough with blocks not to have the small plants go over the blocks, and the holes are wide enough and soil prep is good.
I saw you have support around your limelight on the end of the bed. Did you get that at Lowe’s? I have a hydrangea in a pot and we have had so much rain it needs some support! Love watching your videos!! Your yard is so much more like the scale of my house!
Nice job. I always wonder about whether or not plants get adequate water (well, the soil beneath them) with landscape fabric between the water and the soil. Does the fabric let water through?
Yes I've found that the woven fabrics work best at wicking water down.. I don't bother with the cheap plastic stuff water just sits on top & weeds still grow through way worse than the woven ones!
So beautifully done! It looks great! How long do you run your drip on this side of the house? I noticed that you put 2 gallons per hour for your lime lights. I’m wondering if I need to increase my gallon per hour for mine. They seem to be doing OK right now but we haven’t hit the extremely hot weather yet!
I'm still figuring out the time & frequency I haven't had to run it much at all bc of all this rain we've been getting. But I upped to 2gph being that these are established limelights & westfacing & a lot of the water runs off bc the slope so there were a number of factors that went into that decision. I'm going to monitor them to see if they need to switch to 1gph but so far so good 👍🏾
Kreatyve Laydiiee Ok, thanks. My limelights are on the NE side of the house and get sun for most of the day. I will just monitor them and see if I need to adjust. Thanks again!!
Kreatyve Laydiiee ok I leave in North Texas zone 8b I believe. I have had limelight hydrangeas in my yard since the beginning of summer. I water once a day real good and they are doing pretty good. I neglected to water for a day or so and they were beginning to burn on the leaves. I learned very early to make sure from now on that I don’t miss a day, because we get exceptionally high temperatures here. We sometimes stay in triple digits for weeks. So far that has not been the case. I said all of that to say this.if I had a drip system how long does it need to run is my question? One hour, two hours?
Thank you! And yes it would have but putting the fabric down was an afterthought.. I wasn't planning on using it at first simply because I really don't like using fabric in my beds. But I had some left over & just went for it lol. Thanks for watching & commenting!👩🏾🌾💚
@@KreatyveGardenista You know, I completely get that! I don't like having to put that fabric down, (and didn't this year in my bed....yet😉, you've probably inspired me to get my lazy tookis out there and do it! Lol) but you will be so glad you did later down the road when you dont have the weeds everyone else has! I really appreciated the drip line segment too! I just put one down this year for the first time and I like how you did yours a lot better! Might just have to tweak mine some more! Great job!😊

Lol @ that description 😂 Aww thanks so much!! 💚💚💚💚
This is going to be Gorgeous!!!! And the fact that you're doing it yourself is just amazing. Kudos to you!
Thanks so much! I think doing it all myself makes me enjoy it even more! 😁💚💚

It's good to have such a big garden.
I draw mine out too.
You’ll love the liriope. Easy, carefree and it will grow out about 6-8 inches based on your small tufts.
How gorgeous! Those purple blooms will pop so perfectly, I am excited to see them all mature and in their full glory. Love your videos.
Thank you for sharing your passion for gardening with us. You are doing a fabulous job! Beautiful landscape!
Thanks so much! 💚💚💚💚
Truly inspiring. Can’t wait to see part 3
Perfect! Watching you plant those makes me wish I was your neighbor, to loan you my plant auger & drill. It would make easy work of digging those holes. Love it!
I def could have used that if it was hot out but the ground was so soft from all the rain digging was a breeze! 💚💚💚
Very nice. You have given me so much insight into drip irrigation, and i am going to try it.
Go for it! It's super easy & worth it! 😁💚💚
Peace Sweet Lady. Great video!! I’ve learned so much, thank you for doing all that you do to help us learn 😘😘🌿🌼🌷💚💚💚
Ur welcome & thanks for watching!! 💕💚

Woman Power! It’s going to be lovely! I have the liriope and limelight hydrangea.
It's looking Soo good, can't wait to see it all in full bloom 🌱🌼💗💕
Thank u me too!! I think I'm more excited to see it mulched & edged than the blooms this yr lol😂😂
Looking amazing
Your videos are always so thorough and detailed!
$2, what a steal!
I just love watching your videos
Thanks I'm so glad u enjoy them! Thanks for commenting! 💞
Thank you fo the video 🧚🏽♀️
Good job 👏
It looks beautiful, can't wait to see the finished product!
You can also use large nails instead of land scape pins. Lowes however sells landscape pins a lot cheaper. I got 75 for $10.00.
I put gallardia (orange) in front of my limelight, and it is stunning.
Looking so good!! Can't wait for part 2!!!

Hi here's the link to my video I did on staking my limelights ruclips.net/video/ONexx839wxo/видео.html
So informative! Thx!
Thank you.
Nice!!!!!!
Great job😊🇨🇦
I have that same water timer... has yours ever not shut itself off? Mine did and it ran for 24 hours. I want happy at all.
Havn't had any issues so far fortunately! 🙏🏾

🖤. Tried to copy your front border with Begonias, but my pit puppy doesn't respect my flowers 😢
Awww have u tried maybe some decorative garden fencing?
Where did you get the container for the hose? Is it automatic?
Looking good! This is going to be pretty. Will this side just be hydrangeas and lirope?
That's the plan for now... But knowing me that may change in the future lol😉💕
Are you sure your limelights aren't going to grow over these new plants?
Do you have lots of clay in your soil. Try Garden Lime to break down the clay and make your soil more crumbly and receptive to your plants.
When I hear two gallons per hour, it always sounds like the plants would get a lot of water like getting overwatered. Drip tubing scares me 😂
what's the name of the plant you're putting under your hydrangeas? thanks
Beautiful!!! I would love to have you for a neighbor🏡🌱😍
Wouldn't it have been easier to put your landscape fabric down first? Any way, everything looks beautiful 😊
