When you waste all your sixes and fives rolling example room sizes. It's always good for me to see a fellow fully paid up, card carrying member of the Dice Gods Hate Me club being tormented. I have the same sort of issues lol The game looks like it could help design dungeons for other games as an added bonus.
Great video! I think this could be the game I've been looking for. The combat system and map generation is fascinating; unique and more involved than 4AD and d100 but not overwhelmingly complex either. Very disappointed I missed out on the Kickstarter, but I've put in a request for a late pledge and see myself playing the copy from BGG all day tomorrow. XD
Best part about this game is there's only about 20 pages of basic rules. One reason i dropped D&D was the tomes of rules for everything. Sucks the fun out of stuff. Just purchased 2d6 on their store and printed out my books. Using your videos as a guide on how to.
The combat fatigue die reminds me of the escalation die in 13th Age. You get a d6 out at round 2 of combat on the "1" side. And then you increase it by 1 each round. It's the bonus to dice roll that character get to all their attacks. If the opponent is a "boss", it also gets that bonus.
I did take a look at "13th Age" a while back but quickly decided not to purchase. 1. physical book was expensive and shipping was not within budget. 2. very expensive pdf. 3. pdf had too many pages to print out myself (I much prefer hardcopies of my games)............. shame since the game did look very interesting sigh ;-)
Something wromg with the rules for the start room. I got consistantly bad rolls for this and found no clear resolution other than is must never been less than 6 or more than 12. I guess just keep re-rolling. Seems a bit silly. Just make the start room 3 x 3 that allows for the 3 new exists. Nice and simple.
I don't understand the doors thing. Seems to be a disconnect between a statement like wooden doors are rarely locked (my room says doors are wooden) but the rules then say role a D6 and the results show the various types of reinforced doors including wooden doors!. confused. Or is this just for when it says Random as the door type? If so how does "wooden doors are rarely locked" play into this. Is that just a flavor of words or an actual value in the game? Do I have to find out if the wooden door is locked?
Benefit of solo games hahaha..... Actually I'm not really that emotional in real life, I don't get angry or upset or anything when the... Dice... Gods... screw me...... 😭
* I wish someone made a game book based on d2 game world. Damage and effects would have to be in percentages and divisions (Oathsworn style) of course. * to bring the enemy to -5 should yield better loot than to bring it to 0 isn't it? * 2d6 feels like a misnomer, since you roll 2, then 1 for reaction and 1 for enemy health, makes it a 4d6 right? Anyway, all I see here is samey combat with very little variation, and no thematic loot between enemy, area and loot table.

I maybe wrong but don't larger rooms have a tendency to have better loot?

D100, RoSD, and 4AD are among the many games I want to feature on the channel... just never enough time!
Yeah, I can't go back to 4AD. So simplistic and boring.
