    I think the major reason why people don't watch full videos is because they aren't used to see reality of combat. they are used to see overly dramatic effects and catchy moves in media, which can make reality look ''bland''. But I freaking love this. Keep going.

    Sick video.
    As someone who throws teaches/aerials in swing dance (flips, lifts, etc) I do think the shield vault is more plausible than you might have found it to be. I've consistently found that technique, timing, and coordination with your partner is way more important than raw strength.
    I know you both are super physically capable in strength, coordination, and martial arts training, but I think with a bunch of practice and maybe some coaching you could get something significant there

      It is a ridiculous term though lol, it's basically the same as getting picked on for knowing the answer when a teacher asks a question, but the "gamer version." Someone who is doing an exceptional job in a game is often accused of "tryharding" see also "sweaty"

    Catching spears & throwing them back appears in both the Sagas & was a training practice in Hawaiian martial arts. I doubt it's a myth. The skill probably requires more experience than a single test.

    • @dashrendar5320
      @dashrendar5320  5 месяцев назад +1

      It was more about the way it was shown in the film, now could that possibly be done sure but the way it was presented with just snatching it out of the air like that I think is highly unlikely

      @@dashrendar5320 At best, it seems like the kind of thing that would only be effective in a loose skirmish as it requires awareness & room to move. But it was something Hawaiian warriors practiced, & probably developed useful skills & abilities in any case. Kamehameha I supposedly could catch multiple spears hurled at him at once (or nearly at once, perhaps in rapid succession).

    You know ... I don't want to encourage you two to risk injury like this; but yeah, I'm watching.
    With the spear catch- I think there are moments, when instinct aligns with skill, and crazy things just happen. I remember in 7th grade playing baseball in one of my classes, and the teacher hit me with the ball right in the ding-ding. I walked it off, and went to bat again, slamming the ball in the perfect trajectory for his face. He managed to dodge, so thankfully I didn't knock my teacher's teeth out. But it was that leathal moment where my body just did it, more subconscious than intentional. A sudden, perfect violence if you will.
