Inspired by an ancient Mexican legend, in celebration of the Day of the Dead, Darkon presents the V / A Tamoanchan El Paraiso Perdido, compiled by Deuteroz. With the presence of several artists, El Paraiso Perdido is an offering for this beautiful and enigmatic country.
According to different myths, Tamoanchan is an earthly paradise, inhabited by several gods, and in it, pulque (Mexican drink) was invented and man created. According to the legend it was located “above the thirteen heavens” or “above all the airs and the nine heavens”. It has an extensive relationship with Tlalocan, another one of the Mexican paradises, or the same. There are those who say that Tamoanchan is the magical flowering tree (from Nahuatl xochitlicacan) within Tlalocan, tonacacuahuit, tree of life. The toponymic glyph used for Tamoanchan in the codices represents a split tree, blooming and emitting blood.
