There are millions of rear engine rear wheel drive Beetles as well as front engine front wheel drive Beetles, BUT it seems nobody was ever interested in building a mid engine Beetle with a 914 platform or other tubular frame ? That would be the air and oil cooled BUGSTER !!!
lol, VW build all of the T4, VW t2b came with a T4 2L. The porsche 914 had a t4 2L (GB) VW engine, only cylinderhead was specific and have the porsche AND vw logo on it this engine was 90% a vw bus engine. So every T4 aren't porsche but VW engine. The only beetle with "porsche engine" was the ones swaped with flat 6. In this case, it's just a T4 VW engine with big bore kit and big crankshaft.
Gute Idee luftgekühlten Motor auf dem Prüfstand schinden! Mir tut weh, TOLLES AUTO!!!!!!
The video is cool , but where are the results ?
My neighbor is selling one of these all stock, I will take some pictures so I can figure out exactly what it is. I know it is a early 70's.
