Got the same Anorak from Boreal for Christmas. Just as you said, they are great to deal with. Prom replies to questions I had. Took about 3 weeks to get it here and that was right with what he told me it would take. Just gotten to wear a few times so far. Still working out the right combination of what to wear underneath for the best results. Took it to the shooting range last Saturday afternoon. T-shirt, light vest and the Anorak and I was good for the two hours I was shooting. Great video on a great product!
Wool is a great natural material. A lady in my church made me an Anorack , It is great around the camp but a little bit heavy on the trail. It is great for hunting on cold windy mornings. Thanks for the talk on wool. The tea looked refreshing on a cold day. I love the nano stove. A great piece of gear to carry to the woods. Happy Thanksgiving Woodswalker! We have a great country and much to be thankful for.
Awesome that you had a anorack made by a friend. I agree that when you are hiking a heavy wool garment is too heavy except on the coldest of days. -15c to -22c in my neck of the woods when I shot this. Take care my friend!
Love that anorak Wade. I just showed my wife... she’s a professional glove maker and seamstress. I asked her if she could make me one similar trimmed in leather. She said it wouldn’t be very hard to do once she has a pattern. I told her I’ll drop by the thrift store and look for a over sized hoodie to tear apart for a pattern 😎
Lovely talk on wool. I have an alpaca wool blanket that I bought in Ecuador in 1984 when I was serving onboard USS Skipjack during UNITAS '86. I have used it on submarines, aircraft carriers, in my house, and in the woods. It has served me well, retains no odor, and shows almost no signs of wear. It's a double size and I think I paid $10.00 for it. Also looking at a Boreal Mountain Anorak for cold days and nights. Keep those videos coming.
Good video. I've been saving up for wool. Time to get rid of the bulk of my synthetic crap. Except for work clothes. It'll keep 80% of it's insulating properties when wet. Naturally water resistant like you said. Naturally doesn't hold the stink. Self cleaning to a degree when you dunk it in water and hang it up to dry. Won't burn but can smolder when embers get in it. And a host of other properties Ive missed
Hi yet another amazing video I am a lover of natural products and old school to nice touch with your table very well done 👍 I always seam to use the floor Thanks for a useful tip keep them coming thanks again 👍
Thanks again Wade, I have been thinking of investing in some wool base layers. Also it looks really cold out there, where I am in England we dropped to -6 C and the coldest I have experienced is -16 C and that was a one-off many years ago. But the cold brings great beauty. I love the snow, however we get very little, makes the place quiet and peaceful. Thanks again 👍😃
Hey Mike, its true snow is beautifu but it brings it's own challenges! I find winter hiking relaxing, quiet and I usually have the place to myself! ❄❄❄ Take care my friend, Wade
Just saw this video researching for an Anorak jacket, this video is a classic with starting with the stove them moving to the Anorak, love it, I did get an Rough Anorak and love it. Great video.
Maybe I missed it, but it seems to me you missed the absolute most important thing about wool ... the fact that it still retains a high insulative value when wet. For a Woodsman out in inclement weather, this may be the difference between life and death.
My grandfather passed me down a wool anorak jacket similar to the one you have. I'm using it with a Shell over it and with just a shirt underneath it and I'm fine in the harshest winter.
Wow that's awesome to inherit something like that. It's unreal how warm a properly layered system can be. Thanks for sharing your comments my friend✌️❄️🌲
Thanks for your videos n the Boreal Mountain Anoraks. You helped me make the decision to order one last night. A couple days before Christmas and they have already handed the anorak off to the Canadian postal service. I wasn’t expecting to have it shipped until after the new year. I’m sure Ill enjoy it, thanks again.
Mornin, Wade ! Great having a cupa Chaga with ya ! Very Fair Price on the Anorak. Great Thoughts as well, Now you wont have to worry bout staying warm ! Be well, Friend ! ATB T God Bless
I'm never drinking alone, I always have someone to share with, that's great Terry! Being warm and dry means you can stay in the woods longer haha! Take care Wade
Love your vids, education for the soul. Your pleasant, detail, and congesture on the product, material benefits, and long term value is certainly priceless. Thank You and Keep 'em coming. randall
Fun Fact, the lid has an X pattern because the legs of your stove will lock into its carrying case's pattern, perfectly stabilizing and aligning your pot stands and feet every time.
"It was such a gorgeous day, thought I'd go out for a hike!" Weather: -15 difference in mentality 😂😂 greetings from the California desert! Love the vid
During my conscript training in the Swedish Army, we had a test where we crawled through a rain of burning napalm in a double layer of the old wool uniforms. No problem. Try that in the new synthetic pyjama. Wool rules!
Our climate in the SE USA doesn't really necessitate the use of wool. But that is really great points about the advantages...especially the advantage of the quietness! Synthetics are noisy! Beautiful anorak!
Great videos! I noticed recently that I was getting Facebook advertisements for cheap wool anoraks. I recognized footage from this video was included in their advertisement. Not sure what can be done about that, but figured you should know since you typically have very honest gear reviews and use good gear in your videos.
Thanks for the heads up Cameron. Ya these fake ads are popping up all over unfortunately. I just hope people don't get ripped off thinking they are buying a top quality item. Take care my friend👊👍
@@shoreline780 the prices for those adds are great. Please let me know what happens. I would love one, but I don’t have a Filson- or Boreal Anorack-type budget...
Hey Wade , ik volg al een tijdje en heb zojuist de wollen anorak besteld .. dank voor het delen van deze goede informatie!! ben wachtende op de anorak .. grtz . uit Holland , Janneman
The best way to get the right size is to measure yourself add 4-6 inches to the measurements and order that size. Andy has a great chart on his website. Their customer service is excellent, call them and they will make sure you get the right size! Thanks for watching👍
That's a great anorak, although i prefer something that zips up, for convenience . I have a couple of old, woollen military sweaters and an LLBean wool blanket lined barn coat that i love. Normally i don't mind a little of the rough feel of wool, but these sweaters feel like i'm wearing a cactus, gotta wear something under them. Stay warm, it was -18c when i walked the dog this morning.
Appreciate the video... well, I think. It looks like Andy just replied to my sizing question. Yes, I just ordered a Boreal Mountain Anorack! Gawd I'm in so much trouble now! LOL!!!
@@Woodswalker1965 I went with the Rough with the pocket. I had been considering a Lester River but after seeing your review and then checking out the Boreal Mountain Anorack, there was no question which one to get. Hey, thanks again for your honest and straight forward reviews! By the way, you wouldn't have a spare room a guy could use for a few days would ya? LOL!
I have wool anorak envy , I own several vintage swanndri wool anoraks . Some are early j macks branded, because that's what I grew up with here in New Zealand. But the hood and neck on yours is just so refined .
Swanndri makes some excellent gear. We have a retailer in Canada and I've looked at them many times, very nice! It seems a lot of thought went into the design of this Boreal Mountain Anorack. Thanks for watching my friend!
I loved your vid and will buy the Anorak. I saw your picture on an ad on Facebook for a knock off and now I'm glad I spent the time to find the real coat. Question, what boot did you wear in this vid? Are they Mukluks?
Thanks very much for watching, you will love your genuine BMA Anorak! I am wearing Baffin boots. Made in Canada and seriously warm. I am researching mukluks at the moment, not sure which ones. Say hi to Andy at Boreal Mountain Anoraks for me, he's a great guy👊🌲
Woodswalker 1965 By the way, the end of your video is being used for knockoff Coats. It was this exact video that told me they were different and to start my search. Last question, do you wear wool pants or something like Goretec? Happy Holidays!
Nice one Wade. I like wool, don't have a great need for it as I'm based in the south of England ATM. But I'm moving back up to Scotland the end of next year, so I'm thinking about making my own one for when I do. Thanks for sharing, buddy, take care.
That's exciting , back home right!👍 Those anoracks arent too difficult to make. My buddy made a beautiful one out of a US Army blanket. I'm all thumbs though haha. Take care bud!
Well I hope your luck will change soon. Sometimes it's tough to see because it seems to blend in with the birch bark so well. Thanks very much for watching and commenting!
Thanks for watching and commenting! Costco has 100% merino wool long sleeve shirts and merino blend base layers as well. Black Friday deals at any online retailer might be worth a try! Last year I bought 100% merino wool sweaters at Costco $20 😁
Excellent products. Great vid. I just went browsing there, and for me, the windrak looks like the perfect one for me. I am no longer physically able to trudge around my property much in the winter here in Maine....but for 3 seasons I am outside daily. Love waxed canvas under a layer or two. I put off what i sarcastically call Big Boy BTU's:) and stay plenty warm just breathing:) Love your videos, they are a breath of fresh air. Literally.
Out of curiosity, why are you guys interested in a cotton anorak? Wouldn’t a 100% cotton anorak (Windrak) over top of a wool anorak just eventually become a soaked wet blanket on top of your wool anorak? Or is it just a strategy for dry cold days?
You're correct on that it's for dry very cold days, wet cotton is not something you want on your body. . The moisture from your body will travel through the cotton anorak and freeze. At this point you can just brush the ice crystals off. It's a good system during the right conditions. Thanks for watching and for the great question👍
Awesome anorak🙂 wow you guys got a lot of snow! I’m thinking about buying a wool blanket. Where I live it barely ever snows so we don’t worry to much about cold. 30 degrees Fahrenheit here is like the apocalypse 😂great video friend. That’s awesome that you buy local👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Haha well it hit - 27 C here the other day in Southern Ontario , should I send a bit of that your way 😁! Wool blankets are a good piece of kit, multiple uses. Check out thrift stores, that's where I got mine. Thanks for watching, Wade
Love the video. It reminds me of my earlier life. I still use some wool though often I am using synthetics. I do at least some work out in the extremes of nature even now in my rather vigorous old age ;-). Wool is what you need if you are beyond the reach of man and of the modern. Wool works. Cotton is the fabric to die in if it is cold. Note: I planning to purchase a full on sheep skin vest and some more wool poly blends to wear at the skin level.
Hi Tim, I appreciate the sub! The LRB is a fine garment congratulations my friend! I hope you like the future content. I plan on getting out on a few trips this winter❄🌲Take care.
I hear all the time ,doesn't it itch really bad. I just smile and shake my head. Curious what you have on your feet,I know wool socks. My wife and I had many Successful chaga hikes this year it seems to be ever where in the Adirondacks. Great video
Thanks very much for watching. Yes you're right Merino wool blend socks on my feet seem to do the trick for me. Funny I seem to find Chaga when I'm not looking for it lol. When I'm "looking" I can't find any! Take care.👍
They are awesome my friend. I recommend Boreal Mountain Anoraks, tell them I sent you!👍 I receive no money from them, I just believe in their products👍
G'Day Wade Damn nice looking piece of gear you have. I too think you made a wise move adding that Anorack. I haven't been through enough of your videos, Yet, I really like your Firebox Stove set up.. Enjoy Your day Sir, and thanks for sharing ATB to you and the Family MIC
Awesome video Wade...… it looks like the snow keeps on coming. I thought that tree was about a foot thick until you wiped the snow away :) I think we all made the transition back to natural materials. I love wool clothing. I don't have to worry about melting next to a fire now. Love the Anorak. Very good looking and looks very well made. You could add a few more beads to the cord and make a set of pace beads for when you are on the move. Thanks for sharing Wade, have a great day, all the best, Mark :)
Hey Mark, thank you buddy! That actually is a great idea to make peace beads I never thought of that 👍. Yes winter has her icy death grip on us now lol! Take care and we will talk soon! Wade
Great video, thank for sharing how does it stand to exercise? I snowshoe a lot and it’s a workout but when I stop I get cold just looking to stay warm while being sweaty lol
Thanks for watching! To be honest it all depends on temps and your level of exertion. I think it is a very adaptable and useful piece of kit. It vents well and breathes well. It's tough to go wrong with a garment like this. Take care Wade
Thank you for sharing and SHOWING this type of wool garment!. I have been looking into getting one myself after purchasing wool blankets from Arcturus Gear. I appreciate it!. How did you determine the correct size? Where do you get your 100% wool caps? THANKS! HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
Thanks so much for watching! If you go on the Boreal Mountain Anoraks website they have a sizing chart, if you call them they will help you as well. bit.ly/3E9Wspd (you can use this link) Mountain Hardware make a very nice Merino Wool hat but I also get military surplus hats as well. New and 100% wool.
I hope they are at the winter symposium again this year. The only reason I’m going basically. I don’t understand if they are Canadian why their prices are in U S dollars
Hi Clifford! I'm not sure if Andy will be there this year. It's nice to try something on before the purchase. From my experience the sizing experience was very simple. I took my measurements and added 6 inches to my chest and it fits perfectly for layering. Hmmm not sure why pricing is in US dollars either 🤔. I wish I was able to attend the show this year it looks great! If you see Andy mention my video if you dont mind my friend. Take care Wade
Wool is the only way to go out here on the coast. It rains so much that no matter how good your rain gear is, you're gonna get wet. If not from the rain than from your sweat. It's just better to wear wool and embrace the wet.
Just out of curiousity and for sizing purposes, what is your size (Ht./Wt. and chest) and what size did you get your wool anorak in and what size did you get your manic in?
Im 5' 8" 200ish. I got a xl Wooly with a 3x Manic. You want lots of space between the wool anorak and the Rough. Andy over at BMA is excellent in helping you with sizes, a very nice guy!
@@Woodswalker1965 I've been checking the website and came across the "Blackrak", that would be my choice for the woolie. But, not sure which would be a best choice for the outer anorak, the Arctic or the Windrak? When I get ready to buy I will call and have a discussion before purchasing.
You got it! Great thing about it is that's its not really known to most people. I find great stuff at thrift shops! Take care bro! (This vid was click bait free!)😂
Thanks for watching and commenting. Wool isn't windproof but you can add a windproof layer over top. It can be anything but I have one of these to wear over top. The combination is extremely warm. I've worn it on numerous trips and it's been really great. ruclips.net/video/dMvntLkswpk/видео.html ruclips.net/video/NFPMr_c9YAA/видео.html
@@Woodswalker1965 thanks for your answer :) what difference will you see between a 90%, 95% or 100% wool anorak ? in term of breath-ability, comfort, warmth, water proofing, ... ? thanks
@@vincentferrari9683 well I have quite a lot of wool, some of it is a blend and some is 100%. I don't feel any difference with a 90% blend vs 100%. Some people think that a slight blend will make the garment stronger overall. That doesn't mean that 100% wool is weak though, it's awesome. I would stay away from items less than 90% if you're looking for maximum warmth, breathability and water resistance. I always like to avoid getting my wool wet though as it becomes quite heavy. I heartily recommend Boreal Mountain Anoraks. I've worn other brands and I feel this one is top of the line. I hope this helps my friend. Take care, Wade
lovely video ive just bought one my self the 100% wool loden green. one question i live in the uk and as everyone knows it rains a lot so my biggest worry is ruining it by making it shrink. so what do you do when it gets wet whats the best way to get it dry in the house or camping (or is it so well made and built for snow/rain it doesnt shrink)
Thanks for watching and congrats on the new Loden ! The best way to dry out wet wool is slowly with mild heat. In the field a low campfire works well. If it gets really wet you might want to gently reshape it while its drying. Take care!
Hi John. I usually wear a large jacket but went with a xl anorack. It leaves a lot of room for layering underneath. I bought it with the possibility of layering a light down jacket underneath in extreme cold. I think the best way is to take your measurement and add at least 6 inches to your chest and use that number to order off the BMA size chart. I went even bigger than that. Hope that helps. If you have any other questions let me know. P.S. Tell Andy I sent ya 😃
How do you feel about their sizing? I’m between a M and L on regular clothing sizes, closer to M but I know it doesn’t have stretch so thinking maybe a L?
Definitely go at least large, you want it to be roomy for layering and for easy removal. Go to the sizing page on the website, it’s pretty straightforward. You can always call them for advice, Andy is always available.
Another excellent video very informative,do you remember the old military long coats they were made from Bulls Wool.If it snowed they became insulated and in the rain no water could get through, brilliant gear.I have a couple of jackets from Seland a Swedish company they are made for inside the Artic Circle great long insulated jackets, but I still prefer wool, does that jacket come with a full length Zipper.Your living the dream my friend stay safe.Keep your videos coming.
Thanks for watching! That Bulls Wool sounds like some great stuff! A lot of cool stuff comes from Sweden for sure! I'm pretty sure that the anoracks only come as a pullover. A bit awkward to put on but comfy!
The $50 BMA is a knockoff. The company is using stock photos and videos to mislead people. Only buy from www.borealmountainanoraks.com to be sure of quality and warranty. Take care👍
I totally agree with you about wool lasting a life time....BUT these greedy companies know that also , so therefor sew with a sorry low grade of tread that darn sure will do good to last 2 years , this way you throw away the seam ripped items and run down and give the low life companies another bundle of money !!!!!!
Hey buddy, your videos are really amazing. Just one question, where do you find chaga musheooms? Are there any during the winter? I also film bushcraft videos, and I want to make something about this beautiful mushroom, but I can't really find it...Peace✌
Hey brother, thanks for watching. Chaga grows mostly on birch trees, almost always on birch actually. You can find them all year and they live for 5-7 years eventually killing the tree. I'm editing a chaga vid it should be up in a day or two with more info. Take care brother, Wade
Like I got the money an I wnt to buy jus wanna figure out what it's all about an if it doesnt make u itch like a wool blanket or somthing I need to find out what size to buy ect
Thanks for watching! Since this is a winter garment you would be wearing something under it so itching is not a problem. I have not experienced any itching with this garment at all. If you have any specific questions about sizing it's best to talk to Boreal Mountain Anoraks directly, they are very helpful. Tell them I sent you my friend and let me know if you make a purchase👍
If you were to wear this directly against the skin it may be slightly itchy. It's meant to be worn over another shirt so there really isn't a problem for me. Thanks for watching👍
I run hot so wool and me make a lot of heat. Investment? Baloney. That anorak of yours set you back a car payment while I am at the local Goodwill store getting hardly-used 100% thick wool sweaters purchased for a song. They were probably donated by men who thought wool was itchy. I like the itch factor as I think it promote blood flow and more warmth. Sweaters are perfect to layer with a waterproof outer layer as I don't find wool as water-resistant as you do. If the sky opens up or the snow is wet and windy, you will want a Gortex outer. They say wool will still warm if it is wet, but I don't want to find out if that is true.
Great video. And I totally agree on all those points. I was out wearing my woolen jacket today. Wool made the Viking Age possible, by the way!
Thank you my friend! Those Vikings may have been on to something, hmmmm😏.

Glad it was helpful!
Maybe I missed it, but it seems to me you missed the absolute most important thing about wool ... the fact that it still retains a high insulative value when wet. For a Woodsman out in inclement weather, this may be the difference between life and death.
That's very true, thanks for the input and for watching!
That's so awesome , you will love it! Andy and his staff have great customer service. Thanks for watching and let me know how you like your Rak!👍
Hi Wade
Great wool anorak 👍🏻😉
I love wool to and it’s natural ability to making you comfortable 👌🏻😁
See you on the next one

Hi Tom! Thanks for checking in buddy, it seems we both have new anoracks 😁! Take care buddy! 👊 Wade
Mornin, Wade ! Great having a cupa Chaga with ya ! Very Fair Price on the Anorak. Great Thoughts as well, Now you wont have to worry bout staying warm ! Be well, Friend ! ATB T God Bless

Love your vids, education for the soul. Your pleasant, detail, and congesture on the product, material benefits, and long term value is certainly priceless. Thank You and Keep 'em coming. randall
That is a super nice comment, thank you very much ! I appreciate you watching!👍😀
Fun Fact, the lid has an X pattern because the legs of your stove will lock into its carrying case's pattern, perfectly stabilizing and aligning your pot stands and feet every time.
Thanks for watching and for the info my friend👍
"It was such a gorgeous day, thought I'd go out for a hike!"

difference in mentality 😂😂 greetings from the California desert! Love the vid
A California desert sounds like heaven right about now lol! Thanks for watching👍
During my conscript training in the Swedish Army, we had a test where we crawled through a rain of burning napalm in a double layer of the old wool uniforms. No problem. Try that in the new synthetic pyjama. Wool rules!
Excellent real world experience!👍
Glad you finally got an Anorak !! Looks great !
Thanks Tim. You were right, they are warm! 👊
@@Woodswalker1965 Absolutley love mine !!
Our climate in the SE USA doesn't really necessitate the use of wool. But that is really great points about the advantages...especially the advantage of the quietness! Synthetics are noisy!
Beautiful anorak!
Thanks Stan, I guess it rarely gets below freezing where you are. That leaves more money to spend on axes! 😏😀
When trees aren't level, make them level. Great video bud. That anorak is so badass.
Thanks man! Ya the anorack is great! If you think you would get some use out of one I highly recommend it! ❄

It's a really nice garment Kevin, I left a link if you're interested. Talk to you soon
Great video, my Filson double mackinaw wool coat is priceless in cold weather… wool rules
Filson is top notch stuff. I have a few Filson shirts... so nice! I would love one of their mackinaw coats one day. Thanks for watching👊
Thanks for the informative review!
You're very welcome, thanks for watching my friend 👍
Gotta love the Pathfinder canteen cook set great piece of kit. I really enjoy mine.
Very good quality piece of kit! Thanks for watching my friend!
HHHMMM I think I just got ripped off? Guess Ill find out soon enough. I fell for 1 of those FB Ads

Hey Wade ,
ik volg al een tijdje en heb zojuist de wollen anorak besteld .. dank voor het delen van deze goede informatie!!
ben wachtende op de anorak ..
grtz . uit Holland , Janneman
👍Thank you!
Nice Anorak!!I was wondering how tall and heavy you were in the vid. I think I need a large but I'm not sure.
-18 that's a brisk walk for sure! Glad you have the proper clothing my friend
Take care. Wade
Very nice! I think you've convinced me. Thanks!
I have the feeling you'd be a easy sell!😏🤣 Thanks for watching Steve!
Thank you so much!
Appreciate the video... well, I think. It looks like Andy just replied to my sizing question. Yes, I just ordered a Boreal Mountain Anorack! Gawd I'm in so much trouble now! LOL!!!
Haha well you're on your own pal! Congrats on the Anorack, which model?
@@Woodswalker1965 I went with the Rough with the pocket. Haha sorry buddy, like I said youre on your own.😁 You'll love the Rough, I'm sure. Maybe let your wife wear it once in a while? It might work😁!
Very nice anorack. ....love wool. A quality blanket, and wool clothing is great stuff.
It's amazing stuff you're right. Thanks for watching, and always thank you for your comments.
Woodswalker 1965 can't wait to see what you decide on the Mukluks. I had a pair in the Air Force. Would love to get a good pair.
I'm actually looking for a pair of Cdn. Military mukluks.
Woodswalker 1965 By the way, the end of your video is being used for knockoff Coats. It was this exact video that told me they were different and to start my search.
Last question, do you wear wool pants or something like Goretec? Happy Holidays!
I wear wool base layers. I have a pair of Dutch Army wool pants for extreme cold. Thanks for the heads up once again👍
Well at least you have some, I have been searching round the woods here in Alberta now for 2 years with no luck finding any chaga.
Well I hope your luck will change soon. Sometimes it's tough to see because it seems to blend in with the birch bark so well. Thanks very much for watching and commenting!
@American First You said it lol👍
Thank you for the thorough review and recommendation. The anorak looks amazing.
JW from Alaska
Whew , Alaska, I guess you know a thing or two about cold weather! Thanks for the comment and it is a very nice garment! Take care, Wade
Love the wool Anorack. Where's a good place to purchase merino wool under garments?
Thanks for watching and commenting! Costco has 100% merino wool long sleeve shirts and merino blend base layers as well.
Black Friday deals at any online retailer might be worth a try!
Last year I bought 100% merino wool sweaters at Costco $20 😁
Excellent products. Great vid. I just went browsing there, and for me, the windrak looks like the perfect one for me.
I am no longer physically able to trudge around my property much in the winter here in Maine....but for 3 seasons I am outside daily. Love waxed canvas under a layer or two. I put off what i sarcastically call Big Boy BTU's:) and stay plenty warm just breathing:)
Love your videos, they are a breath of fresh air. Literally.
Thank you! I am thinking on a Windrak as well! Let Andy know I sent you if you do make the purchase. Take care my friend👍
@@Woodswalker1965 last time someone told me that, I think they charged me double. Hahaha.
I sure will, thanks.

Sounds like you have some experience under your belt my friend. Thanks for sharing your comment👍

Mountain Hardware make a very nice Merino Wool hat but I also get military surplus hats as well.

Not far at all! You get some cold weather up there too! Take care.👍
Wool is the only way to go out here on the coast. It rains so much that no matter how good your rain gear is, you're gonna get wet. If not from the rain than from your sweat. It's just better to wear wool and embrace the wet.
Embrace the wet, I like that! 😁

Thanks buddy. I'm loving that chaga along with the other items to keep me warm! Lol!
lovely video ive just bought one my self the 100% wool loden green. one question i live in the uk and as everyone knows it rains a lot so my biggest worry is ruining it by making it shrink. so what do you do when it gets wet whats the best way to get it dry in the house or camping (or is it so well made and built for snow/rain it doesnt shrink)
Thanks for watching and congrats on the new Loden ! The best way to dry out wet wool is slowly with mild heat. In the field a low campfire works well. If it gets really wet you might want to gently reshape it while its drying. Take care!
@@Woodswalker1965 sweet thank you for the advice again love the video take care love form the uk

Great piece of kit , thank you👊
Hey, just curious on what size you got your rak in?
I got a XL. This gave me lots of room for layering. Thanks for watching👊
Awesome. Info I was looking for.
Glad I could help!👍
Wade, regarding your Boreal Mountain Anorak, what size jacket do you regularly wear and what size did you order from BMA? Thanks!
Thanks Wade!
Not a problem!
Wade, I let Andy know I found his site on your channel.
👍Thanks John, hey make sure you let me know how you like the rak!😃
How do you feel about their sizing? I’m between a M and L on regular clothing sizes, closer to M but I know it doesn’t have stretch so thinking maybe a L?
Definitely go at least large, you want it to be roomy for layering and for easy removal. Go to the sizing page on the website, it’s pretty straightforward. You can always call them for advice, Andy is always available.
Thanks great information 🇨🇦👍
You're welcome , I appreciate the comment!👊
Another excellent video very informative,do you remember the old military long coats they were made from Bulls Wool.If it snowed they became insulated and in the rain no water could get through, brilliant gear.I have a couple of jackets from Seland a Swedish company they are made for inside the Artic Circle great long insulated jackets, but I still prefer wool, does that jacket come with a full length Zipper.Your living the dream my friend stay safe.Keep your videos coming.

Thanks brother, always great to hear from you! Wade
Question. Why Do I see the Boreal Mountain Anorak on the web for $50 and at BorealMountainAnorak.com for over $300?
The $50 BMA is a knockoff. The company is using stock photos and videos to mislead people. Only buy from www.borealmountainanoraks.com to be sure of quality and warranty. Take care👍
Very nice anorak. Did you buy it in tall?
It’s a xl regular. Boreal Mountain Anoraks has a very easy sizing graph on their website, check it out👍
I totally agree with you about wool lasting a life time....BUT these greedy companies know that also , so therefor sew with a sorry low grade of tread that darn sure will do good to last 2 years , this way you throw away the seam ripped items and run down and give the low life companies another bundle of money !!!!!!
Buy wisely Sir and you wont have regrets. Take care and the most important thing is to get out and have fun in the woods right!? 👍

Very good my friend. I have found BMA very good to deal with! Did you find something?
@@Woodswalker1965 yes
Thanks for your insights I'm happy with my investment and so are you. Take care 👍❄🌲
They should make trench coats
