I'd seen this guy in-person at a local GameStop a few times recently but I passed him up because I wasn't really willing to spend that much at the time, but I came around yesterday and finally decided, screw it, and pulled the trigger. And I can confirm, he is a very nice figure.
Same exact scenario with me, and I agree it is on a different level from my other "normal priced" figures. Joints buttery smooth but not too loose, changing hands is smooth easy, weapons fit perfect in hands, no defects in paint. Very small details in the armor and weapons😎
Just got mine I'm in love with it! I wish 1000toys made even more halo figs like elites or the arbiter etc. Definitely wish they can drop the price down to like mafex or something
QotD: I think Halo 1 Mk.5 Chief is my favorite design but that might just be nostalgia (even though I should technically have more of it for Halo 3 Chief), my second might be Infinite Chief since it takes my former 2nd favorite (now 3rd) design Halo 2/3's mk.6 and updates it to look bulkier since I always felt that the shoulder pads on that armor set were really underwhelming especially compared to every other armor set in 3. The ball joints were even smaller on 1000toys' first MC to the point where they could barely stay on for mine, which really killed a lot of my hype for it. I'm so glad they addressed that issue for this new one.
I have the entire Halo line up of Play Arts, McFarlane, Mattel, Three A (biggest waste of money) and so far most of the WCT, but I have to say my favorite toy line was the Joyride...I know its just nostalgia, but those were big, chunky figures. I still remember me and my dad driving all over Game Crazies looking for Cortana. I finally got her as a birthday present. I still have her mint in the box to this day.
Joyride figures are the very very best ever made, I remember seeing them in a games shop in San Francisco a few years after the x box was released, totally blown away by what I saw, 15 years later I started to collect the entire series, kept the box up ovisly! Then tried to sell on, not many people know of the joyride series and as a result are not worth the money that so many on ebay are trying to sell them for, there is no demand for them real shame as they are there very best figures you can buy!
Yeah I think this is the best Master Chief figure to date. I have most of the Jazwares Spartan collection figures and they have far more problems than this release, like useless torso articulation and most have a hard time shouldering a rifle and sighting down it. It's a shame because the Jazwares could be much improved and still cost the same $20. The 1000Toys MC is awesome and doesn't have the same issues, but $150 is just way too much. I couldn't imagine getting one of these let alone multiple characters in the same series. I'll have to stick with Jazwares and hope they take note of how well 1000toys did and try incorporating some improvements to their future releases. Thanks for the detailed review Anthony!
To be fair, not to discount the issues that the Spartan Collection figures do have, but comparing a $20 mass retail figure to a higher end, $100+ figure isn’t exactly a fair comparison.
@@jeebus2313 I don't think it's impossible for Jazwares to make a Master Chief almost as good as the 1000Toys version. If Jazwares could at least get the same range of movement as a standard Marvel Legends in their SC line and make the knees and elbows look half way normal when bent, that would make it comparable to the 1000Toys version.
Good thing about the jazwares ones is for 20 units of your local currency, you can just take to it with a scalpel and superglue and fix a lot of the problems with the torso articulation. That and a quick blackwash make it seem much more expensive
I'm thinking on customizing my jazzwares master chief, I'm recently playing the campaign for the first time and I'm loving it so far. Honestly, this 1000Toys Master Chief including the original, are the best Master Chief action figures ever made. I think that they’re just the spartan collection figures but better. And yes, there actually already was a Halo CE version of Chief made before the Halo Infinite Chief form 1000toys. Just to let you know, both versions have the same kind of articulation and similar accessories but the only thing is that the Halo CE Chief has a smaller wrist pegs. Over all, I think that 1000Toys did a phenomenal job with the figures.
I like it and I like 1000 toys, most of the time they seem to deliver enough bang for you buck. Whether the £20 jazzwares figure is better value is a different conversation, but this looks good!

Okay, this is 95% perfect, but I have an issue with the middle torso hinge. Mine is just SLIGHTLY too loose, and it makes it pretty frustrating to handle. The screw in the back doesn't do much to tighten it, and I can't actually see the joint itself, otherwise I'd use the superglue method. Got any advice? Have you had a chance to break it open yet?

Anthony what do you think about the World Of Halo scale that Jazwares are coming out with? is it something you would collect/review? right now they're the only line that has non spartan Infinite characters
He looks cool, but for tht kinda price range they shld at least give him better knees.(instead of those weird big block knees). I do like the figure frm jazwares but their knees were like tht too..
I agree with your listing for nicest looking version of Chief. Halo: Infinite, Halo 3/2, Halo 4/5, and then Halo: CE. I personally was never a fan of the actual armor design itself in Halo: CE, it was just too bulky, and didn't present itself well enough. If that makes any sense. I really like the Mark V helmet though, and the Mark IV is also one of my favorite Spartan armor designs, even if Chief never wore it in any of the games. But if you count external media, then he does wear the Mark IV in 'The Fall of Reach' movie, and it looks really good in that. If you count that, I'd put Mark IV over Halo 4&5 Mark VI, but still not ahead of Halo 2&3 Mark VI.
Overpriced. I was going to get this. But thank god there’s your video. If it was like 75-80 max maybe I might get it. But I don’t see the justification of it costing so much. And it actually retails at my target for 180$. Which is mutts. F that. The jazz ware figure looks better imo
The Mark V Chief I got had issues where the hands wouldn’t properly fit in the ball joints, make poses with the AR nearly impossible for me. Does this figure have a similar issue or not? If not, I’m gonna get it.
I purchased the Mjolnir Mark V several months ago and was disappointed with the hand issues as they kept falling off. How is it with this figure? I don’t want to waste my money if they didn’t correct it with this release? Please tell me they’re tight.
So I always order from big bad toy store. Are they always late, or do i just get my stuff after everyone else? :) Because I always assume Anthony orders from big bad, but it always seems like he gets his stuff before the site ever even says they are in stock.
I know I’m 2 years late but here’s what I can tell you about BBTS: They purposefully over price everything, if they say for example a new halo or gundam figure is coming out on March 27th for example every other seller will have it at or around (a couple of weeks at most) that date. BBTS however will be months late like you’re not going to get it till almost a year later. For me I usually buy and collect Figma and Figuart figures if I can I’ll usually use Premium Bandai, Goodsmile, Amazon, or TokuCollectibles because of how late BBTS always is. And Amazon isn’t any better either I preordered the kamen rider decade complete selection modification v2 belt + K touch the day the listing went up, and you’d think I would’ve gotten my order shipped but they canceled it due to a lack of stock. I went to Tokucollectibles got that same belt and it got to me within a week
i think the play arts kai anniversary edition is better in terms of price to product. this just looks like a more complex mold of the $20 figure which can get painted up by any model builder to look better. $150 is way to much for such a plan looking figure.
Honestly would love it but sadly for 1 i can only get some of the halo figures in the uk and for 2 jesus christ this guy is expensive. Ive seen a couple knockoffs of him on ebay for like 35 quid but i am not looking to get scammed so i will stick to the 5 jazwares figures that i have lol.
if they released Escharum, Harbinger & Jega Rdomnai figures (the last 3 bosses) to go with Chief for a display I'd buy those in a heartbeat too. But let's be honest even tho the character wasn't in the game we would all love an Arbiter figure to go with Chief!
I'm so glad they went with a less stylized sculpt with this bad boy. Sure, the mark V was an amazing figure, but I wasn't a fan of the proportions and gundam look it had.

Also because I never played halo and I just see green armor dude. Regardless well worth the coin brothers. Well worth the coin indeed.
Anthony what do you think about the World Of Halo scale that Jazwares are coming out with? is it something you would collect/review? right now they're the only line that has non spartan Infinite characters
Somehow putting Halo *COMBAT EVOLVED* last is truly heresy.
Great review Anthony!
Is it worth getting the CE version? I'm really not a fan of the proportions but I love this Infinite version.
been waiting for this vid for so long
this look much better than play arts kai version
Best action figure ever I love it
Does those flaps on his chest open it looks like there are hinges, nice looking figure.
There really needs to be mor affordable 1/6 figures.
Overpriced. I was going to get this. But thank god there’s your video. If it was like 75-80 max maybe I might get it. But I don’t see the justification of it costing so much. And it actually retails at my target for 180$. Which is mutts. F that. The jazz ware figure looks better imo
Interested in the jazwares figures? The newer ones that have been coming out
Hey, Anthony. Super curious to see your top ten figs of the year.
Coming soon!
The Mark V Chief I got had issues where the hands wouldn’t properly fit in the ball joints, make poses with the AR nearly impossible for me. Does this figure have a similar issue or not? If not, I’m gonna get it.
They could be tighter but it's not been a problem for me.
For *150* dollars, you'd think the sword blades would be pointy.
I purchased the Mjolnir Mark V several months ago and was disappointed with the hand issues as they kept falling off. How is it with this figure? I don’t want to waste my money if they didn’t correct it with this release? Please tell me they’re tight.
They could be tighter but they aren't a problem for me.
So there is no way to store the weapons on the figure since there are some noticeable pegs on the guns?
I don't understand what you're asking.
@@AnthonysCustoms There's a molded peg on the left side of the assault rifle and an adjustable peg on the left side of the shotgun.
if they released Escharum, Harbinger & Jega Rdomnai figures (the last 3 bosses) to go with Chief for a display I'd buy those in a heartbeat too. But let's be honest even tho the character wasn't in the game we would all love an Arbiter figure to go with Chief!
Is there a way to fix the crooked knee pads? I have the same defect on mine
I think it's just how they're made so not really
Gamestop has him on clearance right now for $80...
I got one for $50
I would say Halo 3=Halo 2>Halo CE (I’ve seen some dope redesigns on the internet)>Halo infinite
Yeah. For $150 plus tax, those awkward shoulder pads are unforgivable.
In your honest opinion, which would prefer most 1000 toys or jazwares ?
1k hands down
I mean if you have the money to drop on this guy, 1K absolutely.
But the Jazwares figures are a decent (if not flawless) "budget" option.
I liked the look of the jazzwares chief, but the left ankle broke right out of the box. very disappointing
