Thanks for the video. Here is a bit of trivia: Before April 2019, Audible credits didn't expire. You could only have 24 credits at any time. After April 2019, credits started to expire on a manual basis. This was due to people not renewing their membership until they used all their credits.
This is very interesting and makes plenty of sense. Audible really wants to keep people coming back and if that means keeping them paying on a monthly or annual basis just to keep having credits, they’ll do it. Audiobooks aren’t cheap to produce and people who make them probably aren’t paid enough for their work anyway.
@@SamuelEarth I love Audible. I love it so much that I have been a member for over 15 years. My major complaint about Audible is Amazon. Storytime I got my Audible membership before Amazon purchased Audible. I got my membership because I didn't want to listen to radio while driving. I think listening to the radio in a car is one of the most racist things anyone in the United States can do. So I switched to music, a bad idea because I was speeding. Three speeding tickets later, I had to do something. So, I switched from music to audiobooks, and I never looked back. When I started listening to audiobooks, all of them came in cassettes. My first cassette subscription (from a different company) came by mail. All that is to say, I am an old lady who loves Audible.
