Welcome to Dreamworld! Thank you for your reaction! 💗☺️ That's SuA, the one with the crown... She's the ace of the group! Dreamcatcher (DC/Deukae) is an unique 7 member girl group. They're a K-pop group known to incorporate pop & other genres and blending with rock/metal/synth instrumentals within *ALL* their *TITLE TRACKS*. Thus creating an unique signature blend of genre known only to Dreamcatcher. They're also known as the Concept Queens and having Powerful live performances, usually with dark/horror/creepy concept themes MVs. The members also showed their creativity by taking part and getting credited for the composing, writing, choreographies for some of their songs too. They have also done numerous vocal/dance covers, adding their own twist to the songs, making it their own. And recently, all 7 of them wrote, composed and produced their own solo songs & included them in the Apocalypse:Save Us full Album. *COMPANY* : Dreamcatcher Company (DCC) (Formerly known as Happyface Entertainment) *DEBUT* : January 13, 2017 *FANDOM NAME* : InSomnia {In Dreams(Latin)} -Formed in 2018, here's a short DC video, officially introducing the fandom name: ruclips.net/video/2KXFvi6r3EY/видео.html *MEMBERS* : JiU ('94) (Vocalist, Lead dancer) SuA ('94) (Main dancer, Vocalist, Rapper) Siyeon ('95) (Main Vocalist) Handong ('96) (Vocalist) Yoohyeon ('97) (Lead Vocalist) Dami ('97) (Main Rapper, Lead dancer, Vocalist) Gahyeon ('99) (Vocalist, Lead Rapper) *MAIN COMPOSERS* : Ollounder, Leez *MAIN CHOREOGRAPHER* : Hwang Sooyeon (Participated in Season 1 Produce 101) *No. of Albums/EPs/Singles* : 15 (Kor) 6 (Jap) RUclips Channel : ruclips.net/user/Dreamcatcherofficial ruclips.net/user/happyfaceent ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ There are currently 3 storylines: Note* Storylines are for their title tracks only: *NIGHTMARE* Series - DC are cursed by a spider who was killed by one of them & became 7 Nightmares personifications, after which they try to escape (knowing the Dreamcatcher lore as a start would be good) *DYSTOPIA* Trilogy - About social/online bullying/toxicity...DC are guardian spirits of The Tree of Language who were awoken by the world's social/online toxicity, by which they retaliate and seek to achieve Utopia. *Apocalypse* Trilogy - The end of times with Chaos & Carnage in the Dusk. WOW okay! thanks for all the info, i'll have to come back here to check on the members and lore and stuff! i love artists who play with genres in their discography so this is really cool
New to Dreamcatcher?? Top Favorite: Silent Night, Eclipse, Deja Vu and Whistle Popular: Deja Vu, Odd Eye, BEcause & Maison Known for their: Anime vibes and jpop/jrock inspired Debut song: Chase Me Anime vibes: Eclipse, Silent Night, Full Moon, Starlight, Over the Sky, Deja Vu, Chase Me, I miss you, R.o.S.E Blue Other genres: In the Frozen, Black or White, Wind Blows, Daydream, Entrancing, July 7th, Lullaby, Emotion, 4 Memory, Poison Love, Alldaylong, Starlight, Sahara, Jazz Bar, Red Sun, Mayday, Sleepwalking, Diamond Evanescence vibes: Break the Wall Rock Theme? : BOCA, Breaking Out, Endless Night, Tension, Curse of the spider Title Tracks(MVs): Chase Me, Goodnight, Fly High, You and I, What, Piri, Deja Vu, Scream, BOCA, Odd Eye, BEcause, Maison, Vision
Welcome to the Dreamworld! Dreamcatcher are very unique. They are the dark angels of Kpop and the only girl group who consistently incorporate Rock and Metal in their title tracks, fusing that with Kpop into something that basically is a new genre. They also are drenched in horror and social criticism, which again is special. Plus, they are massively talented, all of them. And while the girls look like they could rip out your spine when they are on stage, off stage they are adorable crackheads. 😉 "Vision" is part 2 of the Apocalypse trilogy. I believe they are showing us the perspective from the future in this series, showing us how the earth looks like when we keep acting like we do. While "Maison" was talking about the destruction of the environment, here they seem to be talking about the destruction due to war. I don't know if that was the idea from the beginning, but Putin's aggression definitely played a role here. In one set they even dance in front of what looks sort of like a huge trident, which is the coat of arms of Ukraine (could be a coincidence though, or this is me seeing things). It is easy to see how the conflict in Ukraine could result in global destruction. It's just a push of a button away. Note that Dami presses a launch button, but it's not for nukes. It's for spreading their message, their vision. Peace. To be heard all around the world. The song is also a call for action, to stand together against aggressors and those who are destroying the planet out of greed. There is not much difference between someone leading an army or a corporation, if the result is destruction. Still, Dami said the intention is to resolve the problems in a peaceful way. So, what do we do? There is no easy answer. Dami has an outfit that shows that perfectly. One half is an innocent bridal dress, the other half is simply badass. What I know is that any aggressor only listens to very limited diplomacy, and they need to know that the good in the world is ready and willing to fight them if needed. Whoever the aggressor is, we are more than them. They need to know they will never succeed, the only option is peace. By the way, my interpretation could be completely wrong, any other theory is perfectly valid as well. Musically, it's heavier than Maison, and I feel it fits the subject matter very well. It sounds aggressive and heavy, but also soft and vulnerable. There is the duality again. And I love the fake keychange at the end of the chorus, the crazy bass and the guitar in the bridge. All in all this is a fantastic release!
Welcome to the Dreamworld! We always love to see new InSomnia🥺😍I already saw the usual people commenting basically everything you need to know, so I don't need to do it haha. But I have some playlists for them on my channel if you want to get into them. I also wanna say some people are disappointed with the new trilogy (MAISON and VISION so far) because it seems "light" (at least for Dreamcatcher lol). But Dreamcatcher always had a very unique sound and not only incorporates different genres in their title tracks, but also have a crazy range of b-sides. So while I definitely would recommend their full discography (their main producer is a genius and also produces for Ateez), if you like more heavier stuff stick to their title tracks and their Japanese releases. But again, you will miss out if you don't react to their b-sides😉
yes i heard they had the same producer as atz which makes sense why i adore their music ... (more reactions on that coming soon ;]). i'll definitely be falling down the dreamcatcher rabbit hole don't worry
Welcome to Insomnia, you are no longer sleeping on Dreamcatcher. They are ALL vocals (Dami sings the 2nd chorus 9:33, with blue thunder Yoohyeon doing the high ad libs). They will all take turns coming for you; pink JiU, Queen SuA, Gahyeon's facial expressions while it's Handong causing me problems this time. They will all cause panic but Siyeon (she-yawn, with the upgraded face chain and high belts) is especially known for giving in that area. On the same album, Rainy Day will show the range of ALL their music. Random Facts: 5 of them debuted in 2014 doing cute "hey boy" pop but got buried under Gfriend, Twice etc., flipped the script, in 2017 with all 7 became this Dreamcatcher.
Dreamcatcher GIVE when it comes to content, The Dystopia Trilogy (Scream, Boca, Odd Eye) has 7 m/v's and a few more special clips*. I suggest keeping with the title tracks at first then dipping into b-sides and non-musical content like the This Is... series; because they are actually comedians that put out new content every week. I've watched Mamamoo for years and Dreamcatcher is the same loud, chaotic, lgbt energy. That's the long way of saying Dystopia Trilogy is a great start. Also two stand-alone title tracks Deja Vu is HUGE to the group and BEcause is in the category of "only Dreamcatcher" even more than what you know so far. * Scream - official version, suit version (purely for the panic), special version (fan nostalgia) Boca - official version, zombie version (with make-up from the Kingdom Netflix team), part-switch version with making of video, random box version Odd Eye - official version, Dystopia version
This is second song in their Apocalypse trilogy. The first one is Maison - which also has an iconic (and longer) Dami rap. Here she splits the rap with Sua (the one with crown).
Welcome to the Dreamworld! I know my fellow InSomnias have already given you the basics and tips for what to watch next so I'll just drop a comment for the algorithm gods and say Dreamcatcher are amazing!! They are my ult group and they never disappoint! If you react to them, Insomnia will watch. We love to welcome and support new fans!
Lol, you’re right that their title tracks usually feel more… high tempo throughout? Like their last comeback Maison was relentless. Deja Vu has a lot of contrast like this one, though. You literally can’t go wrong picking a Dreamcatcher song. A lot of them are part of storylines, but you don’t NEED to study the lore to have a good idea what’s going on in each video.
Thank you for your reaction! If u liked this i recommend u go deep into their title tracks! They have the rock sound in all their tittle tracks but always find ways to switch it up a little. They also have either a story or meaning behind their MVs so if ur into that stuff might want to watch the Nightmare series in order. If you want to know more about the girls there are some really good guides I recommend u watch one, the MV's are even better once u get to know them a bit. I recommend u watch the Dystopia Trilogy next since u know one of the songs in it (BOCA is the 2nd song in that) so its Scream, Boca and Odd Eye. After that comes BEcause and Maison which are their last 2 before Maison. And after those go back the begining. Their Debut and the Nightmare series!! Us Somnia's love to welcome new people to the fandom so hope you check them out more u won't be disapointed they are so amazing! Looking forward to it!! Also the one u liked is SuA (Kim Bora) or as we call her queen SuA lol Also if u want another group recomendation I suggest Purple Kiss!! They are Mamamoos little sisters (same lable) and I have noticed alot of Somnia and Purky overlaps so if u like DC u will probably also like Purple Kiss!
Your friend totally gets "I TOLD YOU SO" rights 😅
Haha, We all know it's going to be said and done 🤣
EXACTLY
The one with the crown is SuA. A fan referred to her as “queen” one time and she just ran with it. You’ll absolutely love her. She is a riot.
ooh i'm so excited to get to know her and the others more
Welcome to Dreamworld!

Thank you so much for the video! Hope to see you checking out more of their stuff soon! :) ❤
I appreciate the music vocabulary in reaction. Seems to know some about pop song compositions.
Can try react their trilogy.
