Ok, some explaining to do with the Manny Ramirez. At the time when Lin was writing this (1999), the Boston Red Sox (The New York Yankees's biggest rival and my favorite team :)) had a player named Manny Ramirez who was a very good player, especially a hitter. The Deegan is a highway outside Yankee Stadium (where the Yankees play) and is usually very busy and congested on game days especially when playing the rival Red Sox. Go Sox by the way.
