Bakugou had scoffed at the yukata, when his mother had suggested it. It’s a pain in the ass, having designers for parents. They’re always going off about aesthetics and shit when all Bakugou wants is comfortable, streamlined clothing that doesn’t make him look like an idiot.
Surveying himself in the mirror, his pale hair like a firework itself against his dark clothing, he wonders vaguely if his mother was right. Does it suit him? Will Kirishima like it?
“Don’t be stupid,” he mutters to himself, folding his hands into the long sleeves. It’s so embarrassing, to have to worry about these things.
A summer festival brings fireworks and a long awaited confession.

My Bakugo! I am simultaneously so proud of him 🥲 and feel for him so much in this… like I know that frustration and pain of not being able to communicate the way you want to and doing everything in your power to figure out a way to explain. And BEING COCK BLOCKED by your friends so you just want to strangle them 😂 in that moment I could hear in Bakugos head “Oi extra’s, we’re on a… non… date… date? FUCK OFF!” While trying to figure out how to short circuit Kaminari and wrap Sero up in his own tape 😂 I really felt his pain in that moment, because he had been trying so hard to show Kirishima who was probably not allowing himself to see the signs because “it’s Bakugo, of course he wouldn’t like me like that, he doesn’t like anyone. I’m lucky he lets me be his friend… closest extra? He tolerates me, I’m reading way too much into it. Should I have worn the Yukata?” 😂 my boys

i love your work and i've been so happy to follow you because you bring such a calm but passionate interpretation to the characters. i've listened to so many of your podfics and i adore them, but it seems like a good idea to learn to pronounce "Yaoyorozu" in a way that starts to resemble the correct spelling/pronunciation. You keep saying "Yao-YO-zuru" (there is not a "zuru" in the name at all, it's "rozu"). A closer approximation would be "Yao-yo-RO-zu" or "Yao-YO-rozu". It's like, the only thing that bothers me about your podfics.
