Honestly a brill performance from lucky, I'm assuming damage was the main factor because until the last 40 seconds It was all lucky. Lucky is really an ironic name for it lol
Great tactics and controlled driving from Lucky, using the arena wall to try to break Touro's weapon. Works against the big bar spinners, too. For a robot like Last Rites (or Tombstone in Battlebots or Carbide in Robot Wars) the biggest danger seems to come from their own weapon's incredible kinetic energy - slamming them or flipping them into the wall can be very effective. Here's a prediction: the mighty Ray Billings' next loss (with Tombstone) will be caused when someone gets his bot to gyro-dance/oscillate into a wall, smashing the weapon bar's main axle. (Oh, and the arena, too!)
Last year, Duck!, as Whoops!, actually DID beat Tombstone, as Last Rites, at RoboGames. That's why Mr. Billings looked so nervous to have to fight Duck!: It's because he knows what Duck! is capable of. What I think would be Tombstone's bigger weakness is that it takes internal damage that cannot be easily fixed between matches. Tombstone's first match, against Minotaur, caused so much internal damage that he had to scrap that entirely and bring out the reserve Tombstone to fight Gigabyte. Tombstone looks noticeably weaker with each fight it's in, which is also reflected in Last Rites in RoboGames. If Tombstone goes up against Bite Force or Minotaur again (or, by sheer luck, if Billings and Rucker actually get a rematch), I'd say the odds are actually against Tombstone. (I'm going to guess that Lock-Jaw, getting the #16 spot, will be paired up against Tombstone as the #1 seed. If this is true, then I'd have no idea how the match would go, as I know Donald Hutson always has a few tricks up his sleeve.)
THE FALLEN Given he honestly shouldve won the JD yes. That and its a good bot built by an experienced team. You casually referring to touro as minotaur kind of implies that you know a hell of alot less than i do about the sport. Touro maximus has won one robogames, ziggy has won several, and while lucky has not it sure as hell shows they stand a chance against one of the most successful teams of all time (if and only if you spread it across all weight classes)
@@datguy8805 yes, that's why I said it's protected :-) But some of those UK ones have their flipper wedge right at the front, perfect for ripping upwards lol
If lucky was good here, how was it horrible with skorpios, lockjaw, reality and the last chance rumble? (Not SOW, because he had no chance and didn't lose drive until it got destroyed)
@@battlebotsboy I'm not referring to the driver, I'm referring to how this lucky didn't lose any drive while the other lucky in battlebots lost drive in one side so frequently?
Weird how the bots have issues during Battlebots suddenly work as intended in other tournaments.

Lucky did extremely well

Do all the battlebots come here when the season isn’t going on
Not the robots, but most of the teams come in to test their designs.

Duck! literally almost beat Tombstone in the last episode!!

What usually happens is that the insides get shaken loose, not the weapon axle braking. The bar maybe, but not the axle
I was excited for Minotaur vs Lucky in the Desperado Tournament specifically because of this match.
I was also excited. But I think that Da Flippa Killa legend it still rolling in BB.
Just rename the shit back to Ziggy because Lucky is too unlucky... lol
Man poor lucky. I guess he was
Unlucky ;D
MORGAN!!!!! Certainly unlucky on the Judges decision. There are like 3 fights that Touro shouldn’t have won
Sans wants to know your location.
@@Romax-pg2is Judges suck off Touro over Last Rites
Can someone please explain why Lucky can't work like this the second it is put in the battlebox?
A great match by two warrior bots. A tough one to call, with Lucky coming on at the end!
Great fight but Lucky really did give as good as it got against Touro Maximus.
Are you kidding me Lucky should have won
I wish Lucky would always work in BB as well as they do here, then would be better challenge for opponents.
Lucky better have won JD
Edit: son of a....

Touro got really lucky on the Judges' desicions this year... The sewer snake fight and this
dat guy whyachi sorry it’s cuz u said son of a and u countinued it yes I’ll leave
ExprtGaming nah its fine, thats a cute joke
So did Robogames 2018 happen before or after the filming of Battlebots (new) season 3?
Gareth Bowie After the filming. The airing of Battlebots is usually after the filming of the whole season
Hope Touro Maximus fights a FLIPPAH from the UK soon.
Mark Kendziuk probably not gonna happen.
Aren't DrUmm SPINNEHRs good at ruining wedges? At least the front of them, so if it is exposed it will get ripped up. Lucky's is protected
Rennie Ash its because of specific design elements if lucky's the wedgelets with the dip in the middle is gonna get bitten alot less than a wide wedge

Maybe its because it had a different driver in this tournament. (More specifically, John Mladenik.)
