- Fancy a game of hide and seek? We do, but to make things more interested, I'm hiding from CT's Production Team in the 2012 Fiat 500 TwinAir Plus in Windsor, UK. It's small, nippy, has a cracking 2-cylinder engine and Jennifer Lopez drives one. The question: will they find me or not?

Watching this now is hilarious! Carthrottle has come far since then!
I think these videos are better, a part from small details
@adamsautoadvice Thanks Adam, glad you're enjoyed them. The whole process is around 50 "man hours". So it's no small feat. Props to our Production Team, Ed and Ethan!
A masterpiece of a car design. Pure genuis. I can’t drive anything else, because when I do, I am bored as hell.
Downsized to a 2 cylinder and you still need an eco-mode??
It's got more character and is peppy thanks to being turbocharged. But it's NOT efficient on motorways, because you'll spend most of the time with your foot flat to the floor.
What??? really?do you know anything about cars??I have got one and your are telling lies.i have done 1200km trips om my car and never ever I had problems driving on the highway and I am not afraid to say that highway is the twinairs real playground.crussing around 120km/h is not a problem and you still have a lot of power curve over.you and reviewer's like you are a disgrace
@@samleyton5316 who toucha YOU spaghett!?
My first car was a Fiat 500. This was in about 1964 and the engine was 499cc and completely different to the Fiat 500 now!
I just purchased one and drives excellent !
I'm impressed with the quality of the CarThrottle videos and graphics. How long does it usually take you guys to make these car review videos?
When Car throttle was still a smol Channel 😭
This guy would serve Car Throttle far, far better than the uncanny valley it is trying to be now.
@yosman1 Grazie mille signor!
The old days of car throttle.
Think I prefer the new days tbh.
So compaired with the 1.4 Standard 500 is it better or not ? is the power ok to drive in motorway conditions ?
A normal pop is perfect almost all fiats are
Damn i wanna one....absolutely my dream car. Sadly, its not really affordable for a regular dude in Croatia🤣
Owned one and registered selling it and trying to re-buy it again!
Whith the windows up it sound very noisy and awful, but with windows down it's delicious
How about the 500 abarth
whats the difference between the twin air and the twin air plus?
maltatravel the "plus" XD ahahahah
Nope, Indian origin (but Muslim) - Adnan
One of my friends had the 0,9 Turbo! Really really fun car to drive, but man he had many problems with that engine..He ended up getting a 1,2 instead when they faceliftet it.. Much better and stronger engine.
what went wrong with the engine?
Not with the engine in the bigining they had problems with the doors and interior and stuf
@Sehr leckerer Maulwurfkuchen So better buy another brand . Got it.
Its incredible how much sun british people gets nowadays making their skin darker
true fuel consumption?
If you drive like an 80yo in eco mode, yes...
The twinair engine invites you to drive sporty, and when you do, it consumes just as much fuel as a larger model with a slightly bigger 4cilinder turbo-petrol engine.
You have to look at it for what it is: a nice peppy little stylish car to have some fun, as a second car, or for somebody who doesn't do a lot of long distances.
If you look at it like that, it's one of the best cars out there...
I considered a 500 twinair, but I realized it would make me hate it as much as I love it very soon...
I decided to pass on the cute retro styling and funny engine sound and get me a Doblo T-jet instead.
A lot less character, but very practical, surprisingly comfortable and pretty much the same price to buy and use...
Off course it'll use more fuel when pushing it while hauling half the IKEA catalog, but the 500 can't do that...
+Candisa much appreciated. have a nice sunday
I will tell you the real consubtion.i have mine now for over 10years:city: around 6,6,5l/100km, highway:driving up to 110km/h;4.5,5l at most.and if the condition are very good I have gotten 4.2l/100km.that means that with a 35l gas tank you get up to +-700km range.now, you tell me which other car with a petrol engine do that?the twinair engine is the most underrated engine ever specially cause fiat has proven it really does work.and if you really want to have fun, just don't worry about consumption, this car is made to have fun!so you get the best of both worlds+de looks are great and women loves it!
@@samleyton5316 Very kind.
@@Candisa the ecomode needs to keep the wastegate open from idle up in order to get real eco.
I hate this car it just cringes me 😭
