I'm thankful that HD decided to finally ditch their shit system in favor of something worth paying for.... 4 months after I bought my 2020 RG Limited. Something that should have been addressed several years ago.
Rockford 6.5 and 5x7 STILL suck compared to Sound Digital Amps and many other brands of Speakers.

Yes, do your research on Sound Digital EvoPS Amps.
Ground Zero GZCF 6.5SPL and GZCF 7104XSPL.
Hertz SX165 and SX690.
Diamond Audio also has
Mp654, MP694 6x9s, MSX69CX and others.
Mmatts, Beyma, and few others are Waterproof.

Not crazy about a amp in the bag? Should be in the Fairing like the Fosgate system sold in their stores ! My bags are for storage not amps .

Why does my 2021 CVO street glide NOT have the Bluetooth dongle for pairing with the sound management app?
The 2021 FLHXSE and FLTRXSE models with the Harley-Davidson audio by Rockford Fosgate do not come stock with the Bluetooth dongle for the app. The dongle kit can be purchased separate and added. PN 76000997
Won’t work for me. I have air ride and the tank and pump are right where the harness comes out the bag.

The CVO Trike and Ultra Limited have BOOM! Audio. The CVO Street Glide and Road Glide have the new Harley-Davidson Rockford Fosgate Audio. You are right, as far as we can tell, they do not have the Bluetooth Dongle. We would have to dig deeper and possibly call Harley to confirm it.

Why didn’t you use the plate they give you and install the amp under the radio for the Roadglide install?
This is a completely different system with a different amp. This new system does not come with under-fairing plates. Saddlebag only. The wire harness is specific to the saddlebag amp. Only speaker wires run to the upper fairing.
So how old is Rockfords setup that comes with the plate. Even the setup they sell on their website comes with the plate.
What setup did you install in this video? I’m assuming this is the HF14U-Stage 2?

@@randyswanson3300 I talked with our Master tech Mike who did this install. He said the following
"The difference is the Harley-Davidson Rockford Kit can be purchased only from Harley-Davidson dealerships and the amplifier and all connectors on the harness are 100% waterproof. The speakers are 3-way speakers and the phone app now controls the stereo and is integrated with the Factory Harley-Davidson radio.
The non-Harley-Davidson Rockford kits are available everywhere, including here. They are not water-resistant at all and the speakers are 2 way. An aftermarket programming device changes the factory Harley radio so that it can work with the amp.
In our experience, the Harley-Davidson product is louder and clearer, and more reliable. The phone app is also very beneficial to the customer."

@@JLHarleyDavidson why would I give up saddlebag space, especially quick release saddle bag space, when my boom 2 amp sits so out of the way in my fairing? Don’t get me wrong, I love RF. I’m just not sacrificing that space when I don’t have to.

Why have anything in your Saddlebags when you can have 3500w and 4 Amps in your Fairing. Boom 2 is mediocre compared to Sound Digital Amps paired with any of these speakers.
