    I bought a C3 New in 2008. For my 18 mile a day commute to work and drive it 90% of the year I have 46499 miles on it changed out the fuel pump two times and routine Services it averages 120 miles a gallon great scooter. Love the fuel injection starts first time every time

    I object: The Honda Ruckus turn signals are not flimsy as you stated; they are flexible so as not to be broken if you need to maneuver around something or if struck by a flying object. They are a smart design feature.

    • @VehicleHunter
      @VehicleHunter  4 года назад

      But most blinkers are flexible as well. Including the stalks of the C3.

    Yup, I've noticed with the rare times I was at a stop light next to a Ruckus (while on my C3) that when we both took off at the green light, their Ruckus was WAY slower. I left every Ruckus I came across, in my C3's dust.

    Ruckus looks better imo and gets a lot of attention but c3 is more City friendly imo

    Only the C3 has EFI, the Ruckus is carbureted. And while I like the C3 considerably more than the Ruckus, that EFI is it's fatal flaw. I will never ride an EFI bike. I did have a Honda Metropolitan back in 2007, it had the same engine as the Ruckus. But it was just too slow, especially with my 240 pounds. I traded it for a 2008 Yamaha Vino 125. I kept that for several years, and put 36,000 miles on it. Then I found a used 2006 Vespa GT200 in like new condition with only 1800 miles on it. It's in a whole different league than smaller scooters. I've had it up to 75 mph GPS. It's one of Vespa's last carbureted scooters. I intend to keep it till I wear it out.

    Style points go to the ruckus but the c3 is superior in every other way. The ruckus does have a better aftermarket in the US but you can find a lot of parts for the C3/Vox if you look into Japanese aftermarket.

    I'd like to cut up the Ruckus some, add a full 2 wheel axle with a jack shaft and large diameter drive gear so as to pull around my lawn mower. I've seen the older three wheelers converted to a two wheeler. The 175 three wheeler was amazing. Wonder why they stopped making those.

    Cheap metal controls? As opposed to your cheap plastic housing on the C3 controls? Those controls are legendary on the Honda. I had those same tough controllers on my first dirt bike a Honda Z-50. I crashed that bike many times and they never broke. If they were plastic, they’d be broken . You are horrible at comparing scooters.

    I'm doing a lot of research but thinking about getting a scooter or a small motorcycle/scooter. Something affordable bc I'm pretty new with driving & probably want a manual but still debating. I've driven scooters, dirt bikes, mini bikes, ECT when I was in my teens. Lol but I accidentally clicked on q cheep Chinese "motorcycle" you can buy street legal in at least my state & would definitely like to try them & lean before I go into buying something a lot faster & legit! Lol but thank you for all the videos & definitely giving me a lot of options. (Also I'd prefer not to have to do extra stuff to make it street legal & approved. So I will probably get one already street legal. If any one has recommendations for cheeper good beginner bikes "I guess technically scooters people are calling them but I think Id prefer a motorcycle more type & I drive a manual jeep so I prefer to drive a manual! So any suggestions I'd really appreciate it & then in a few years after saving & see if it's really for me to upgrade & get a "real bike" please take no offense as I don't know very much & it's been over 15 years since I've even been on any motorized bike/scooter, gopeds, modeds, dirt bikes & so on. Sorry I ramble & any recommendations would greatly appreciated I'm looking for a cheap & good beginner preferably manual & probably will go with a Chinese after market Street legal Manuel bike/scooter. But I'm open to any ideas & what you ride & prefer (again no where ready for a super fast expensive street bike so don't bother but in a few years I'll definitely or hopefully be looking at them! I'd like to get a good gas mileage bike to commute not very far to work & the roads top speed is 55 but average 40 to 45 so I think it would be fun plus better on environment & eventually my pocket from up keep, gas, & less miles on my Jeep! Sorry for probably repeating!

      in the left floorboard there is a small door that you have to unscrew with a phillips screw driver, the fill is in there.

      If you go with the Ruckus used it'll be around 1600 in great condition. A C3, if you can find one will be cheaper, but keep in mind these are older & rarer than a lot of Ruckus' out there because they don't make them anymore. Yamaha only sold them here for 4 yrs. Honda still makes the Ruckus today new because it sells. This video wasn't really a great comparison because of that fact. Also, the top speed of the C3 and Ruck are identical at 37mph or 60kmh, so don't feel strayed away because of the video.
