I have learned that more people will have turned 65y.o. this year(2024) then at any other time in history......I'm proud to be part of the "59" club , July edition ......!!! Thanks Fred......!!!
@@SalvationinCHRISTalone888 that's true. I was born 03/13/1959. Besides being born on a Friday the 13th, there were only 48 States when I was born. Hawaii and Alaska became states later in the year. Makes me feel antique 😂
I was seven back in '59. Monsters, aliens, women screaming, men there to save the day, guns ablazing away. Good movies. Good times back when movies were made to entertain...and maybe frighten...the audience, not to change the world. As always, thanks Fred. And yeah, it's been awhile so I think it's time I watch "Plan 9 from Outer Space" again.
AT 3:21 That was my first Barbie, with a pony tail and loop earrings. I got it next year for my 6th b'day. 😊 "Dream Lover" and "Personality" I remember vividly. 🎵🎶🎵 You couldn't choose a better opening and closing, Fred-ssi. 💜🤟
I was "in the oven" at this point (surface in January 1960), so I'm glad they're getting a lot of the corny movies and music out the way (though Fred's selections are always the best on offer). That surf record right at the end does have a 1960s feel to it, so things are settling into place nicely. As usual, an eFFing Fantastic Production!
Another trip back on the SS FredFlix, I wasn’t quite two years old yet, but I am amazed that so much of our history still resonates today. Bronx boy Bobby Darin had yet to reach his peak. The Stooges’ shorts were just released to television and as senior citizens, were having a resurgence in popularity. Lou Costello didn’t live long enough to see his movie released. As a kid I thought the Flamingos were singing, “ I only have ‘ice’ for you “…
Thanks once again, Fred. I hope you and your family are having a wonderful holidays!! I was about ready to go into first grade, age seven. As young as I was, I still remember that music. I had an older sister that listened to it as well. After several years, I believe I have found digital copies of all the forty-fives we had, plus some I wanted to get and never did.😊
Feels like such a great time in our history. I remember historical references to the "kitchen debate". Of course history proved Khrushchev wrong. Those William Castle movies are fun. For The Tingler, he put devices in the theater seats to give people a mild electric shock. Love Paul Frees doing the trailer for the Fly sequel. Plan 9 is so funny. Notice that "Bela Lugosi" kept the cloak in front of his face in that scene because it wasn't Lugosi. He died before the movie was finished, so someone else had to take his place. Love it Fred.
We have a lot of SCREAMING now, but it ain’t in the movies….it’s in reality. With this present administration (Biden/Harris) we have been doing nothing but SCREAMING….Its been a true scary episode of The Twilight Zone! 🎯 AND Nightmare on Elm Street rolled into one.
Nixon showed Khruschev a typical American kitchen and it became the famous Heated Kitchen Debate because Nikita didn't believe the average American house had such a modern kitchen in it and Nixon had to explain to him how it really was a typical American kitchen for an average house.
Love your selection of comic covers but I don't think I've ever seen a Harvey cover except for maybe a superhero one. Those were my first comics in the late sixties because I was drawn to the wonderful covers. Not a critique, just an observation
I wonder if it wouldn't be just those provinces of Canada that are more conservative that would agree to annex themselves to us. It will be interesting to see how this all plays out.
…and the Panama Canal which was ours before Carter gave it away. This year (2025) is certainly coming in as a LION! Get ready bcz the start of 2025 is only the beginning. I think we are heading for the 🎢🎢🎢🎢rollercoaster ride of a LIFETIME! Hang on to your hats, scarves, wig, weaves and toupees, folks….eeeeeidio and away we gooooooo🏄🏄♀️🎢weeeeeeeee!!! See you in the air🤍🎺🎺🎺🎺🎺
I was 17 months old at this time, and my memory, though very good, does not go back that far.
I hope you do a Sept/Oct 1959 edition looking forward to it! I was two years old in '59 it's good to look back.
Awesome video brother, 1959, another great year, loved bongo rock by Preston Epps, thanks for posting. 👍
You're welcome, Chuck. Much more '50s to come.
My birth month. Born July 1959. Things have changed so much since childhood. Ive been fortunate to live in a time with so many amazing advancements.

That's interesting, Rick.
Very interesting I am January 1960 just missed it I bet that is a big number too. Al. Can calculate in a second probably 🎉❤😂
Same here Rick. I'm March 59 edition.
1/18/2025: Yes, we are part of The Baby Boomers generation. 🏄♀️🏄👍🏾🌺. I was born 09/29/1958.

Glad to see 'Plan 9 From Outer Space'. It makes me wanna watch 'Ed Wood' again.
Ed Wood is such a brilliant film.
I could listen to Sam Cooke all day long. "The 30 Foot Bride of Candy Rock", how did I ever miss that one. "What's My Line?", best game show ever.

Very, very BAD! 😮 🤔🥴😵💫

You have great music taste, Mercedes-ssi.

Alligator People...Yikes. That's all I have to say about this 1959 classic. And it's in CINEMASCOPE. Amazing!
Being born in 1961 🙈🙏😁 I was still just a after thought in my daddy's mind 😂😂😂 great music
Thank you Fred, this one made me long for a time machine!!! I sang along and smiled the whole time 😊
That's encouraging, Bridget. It means my work is being appreciated.
They had some crazy horror films in those days hehe.

A slumber party at Annette's house? Count me in for that.
Thanks, Fred! Another good one!
You're welcome, CG.
My human debut September. A great year for me.
I am a September baby too. 9/29/1958. BOOMERS ROCK 🎸🏄♀️🏄💪🏽👍🏾🤙
Turned 1 years old in September 29th. Wow! 🎉❤❤❤. Fred, I just love your videos.🍾Happy New Year ( Hau’oli Makahiki Hou) from Hawaii🎄🌺🎊🍷🤙🏄🏄♀️🏄🌺🤍🤍🤍
Thank you very much, SICA.
@@FredFlix 🏄🏄♀️🤙🌺
They don't make horror movie trailers like this anymore! 😮🤔😱
I was born in Y-town 09/29/1958🎉🎺🌺.
I don’t think the algorithms are working. I missed this one.😊
My friend Marie Henkel was born August 2, 1959.
Happy New Year Fred: wow, a lot of screaming in this episode. Ah, the good old days...

Great video as always! Did anything happen in August’57.
I was born that year, and other than that, it looks pretty boring 😮
I'll cover that month as well as the entire '50s, Jim, so we'll see.
@@FredFlix👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾😘
10:02 Sounds like Ted Knight doing the narration here.
Plan 9 From Outerspace. The lowest of low budget movies EVER! Thanks Fred 👍.
You're welcome, Gregg.
The LOOK with Elizabeth Taylor is from 1949...

No problem. Harvey did all the Casper, Hot Stuff, Spooky, Wendy, etc. comics.
@FredFlix Right. Richie Rich was also huge for the company
Ted Knight as Alligator People narrator?
You are correct, sir.
Ahh...50s sci-fi schlock.
Khruschev was prescient. Alas.
12:25 WTH is "Science Friction"?
Imagine when we add Canada and Greenland to the U.S. map! 😅
I wonder if it wouldn't be just those provinces of Canada that are more conservative that would agree to annex themselves to us. It will be interesting to see how this all plays out.
@judyjones5089 😸👍
Will never happen.
Keep dreaming 😂
