The second the video started and I saw that stellar 20th anniversary intro and logo, I knew I was in for a treat. I just finished the show a few months ago after finally getting Paramount+, and this is an amazing project. The animators all killed it, and the VA's were great. I love this so much!
Shame that nickelodeon still holds the right to MLAATR depite it being 20 years. I'm older than the show by a year, and I'd love to see it restored by those that will do it justice, instead of letting the contract collect dust in a storage room somewhere.
In the very least, Nick can't hold onto the robot girl forever, because of public domain rules (70 years after the death of the creator), it's just that we'll be waiting a while before that happens. Supposedly Mickey Mouse is public domain next year, albeit the Steamboat Willy version anyway. There was of course that whole thing where A.A. Milne’s original Winnie-the-Pooh book hit public domain and someone decided to make a terrible slasher movie out of Winnie the Pooh for some reason, but Disney's iteration of the bear is still owned by them, copyright is a bit weird in some places
Unfortunately companies like to hold on to copyright even though they have zero intention of ever bringing a show back. We'd be more likely to create a new show similar, but different enough to be its own thing.
Yay same the beginning the lighting make the scene look epic and memorable and the other one have expression that came from a Zeurel animation to exaggerated the scene for more comedic timing.
This is incredible! Love seeing all the different animation styles! Sylieve's especially looks like a near-perfect replica of the show's, and the detail on Heidi-Celestial's work is astounding! Everyone did a fantastic job!

10:49 the animation reminds me of Naotoshi Shida's work on Dragon Ball Super from the on-model characters to the high paced action animated on ones. It's just so similar to his work and I hope we get this when rebooted comes out.

Honestly I thought this was REALLY cool!! Like half of these animators could literally be an animator for an ANIME! Like some of the art styles are like REALLY detailed and even the voice acting. It’s pretty accurate for tuck and Brad, honestly i really liked how all these guys were nice enough to help out with reanimating a WHOLE episode, i can’t even do this myself, i just think this was really cool :D
This was absolutely incredible. Seeing the amount of work all of you guys put into this recreation of the first episode of MLAATR was truly a privilege and an honor. I adore the various mediums that were used to recreate each scene, and I squealed and kicked my feet every time I saw a reference to one of the later episodes in the series (i.e. The Dr. Suess version of Tucker from Jenny's imaginary dream world). This show had a massive impact on me growing up. Not only did it help me discover my gender identity, but I even renamed myself after the show's protagonist. Anyway, this is truly a masterpiece, and I hope many more people get to experience its nostalgia and beauty.

THIS IS INCREDIBLE!!! mlaatr was one of the first shows i ever watched as a kid and i still very vividly remember the 2008-style amvs for the show i used to watch over and over here on youtube when i was like 6 or 7 😭 (i was Obsessed with a jenny/sheldon one set to 'break my stride' and it's still the thing i picture whenever i hear the song) ANYWAYS. i love how inclusive this reanimated is; it really brings more people together in a way since art talent isn't a factor - it's all about love for the show and i think that's beautiful. awesome job to everyone involved!! :D

I'm already 4 minutes in, and some of these animators have been funny with all the Easter eggs and other stuff they changed (like Nora being a mop and mop bucket)

Great job on this reanimation project. Many of the artists matched the show's style perfectly. What a way to celebrate the 20th anniversary. Shame I haven't done much on my end to celebrate.

I'm already 4 minutes in, and some of these animators have been funny with all the Easter eggs and other stuff they changed (like Nora being a mop and mop bucket)
I'm glad a stop motion added Soo much in one scene in terms of the variety of franchises, Kermit deku and kopaka's mask was awesome to see

When I first watch the collab on Newgrounds, I thought they going to use the old audio from the first episode but the added some new audio remaking the music other people voice in the characters
