Ahh yes, using an AI site/app/program to detect AI use. AI Detection sites/apps are NOT even close to usuable to detect AI usage. As to plagiarism these days 50% of anything that is written is going to show up as such as well since sentence structures and writings are pretty much the same within books all over the place. Yes, I got accused of plagiarizing another student's work because my writing style just happened to be the same as this other students, not my sources, another students. Lets just say they couldnt provide any other proof I had done so from that student, however by coming after me they had ended up putting that student in the spotlight and it was proven they had actually copied from me. They had had IT go over my access logs to the computers and it showed that someone had accessed my files from and outside system using my own credentials, which was impossible to have happened since I was on campus at that same time. But yeah, using AI Detection apps and such when they arent 100% accurate shouldnt happen, but of course universities/collages continue to use them.
Story 1: If you aren't going to enforce the rule, even when it's this blatantly disregarded, then what's the point of having that rule? It sounds like the rule is basically "You can plagiarize 100% of your work as long as you grovel and feed our ego". Let's be honest, OP threatening to disqualify them was purely a bluff since they clearly aren't allowed to disqualify for plagiarism. Otherwise a group plagiarizing 100% of their work would have been disqualified regardless.
That last story's ending was beyond lame. OP couldn't figure out how to properly end that piece of total fiction, so they just whiffed it. 🙄 I would have _preferred_ an "and everybody in the Starbucks clapped" ending. 🤨

Proof read your own work, for F sake, there's no "memorial" in your story, only "memoires", a very different thing indeed !!!
