Man, I loved the skill Jamel displayed in his story "Witness." Please don't brand me a racist for saying this, my nieces the loves of my life are mixed, but you lost me when you began to say, "White" people are not being affected as bad as everyone else. We are all human. As I read your story, I instantly added you to my list of "Skilled contemporary writers, but that hurt me, man.
The intro opens with action and noise, there's a frantic wondering to it. "What's going on?" Then, you alluded to the narrator having some sort of shortcoming (it would appear) "I'm not talking about that" Again, skillfully forboding achieved. I wish you the best man- you are very talented Jamel. Thanks for the art.
