I sit alone again in my room. What is it, day 3, day 300, day 3000, day 3xxxx? What does it even matter how many days it has been? I'll be here alone forever, and have been, forever. These 4 walls, ceiling, and floor are both my prison and my sanctuary. I curse every day that I stay here, but I am thankful for the safety they provide me. It hurts so much to be this conflicted. To feel like you don't need or want anyone else, but to still yearn for a warm touch from someone... We are all prisoners of our minds. It is the ultimate dictator of our world. It might not dictate THE world, but it decides what's going on in our world, my world, your world. It decides that misery is comfortable, that no effort is worth taking, that no risk is worth exploring, because that will only lead to pain and sadness. But is there a lower level than this? If not, then why not keep aiming higher and keep trying and trying and trying, so just maybe, just maybe, you might hit a higher plateau than you've been in years, decades, ever, and stick on it? But what's the point... Nothing will ever come of it. I might just sit here, in my dark and empty room, with these 4 walls, ceiling, and floor as my friends. Even though misery and sadness might feel familiar and safe, it's important to remember that focusing on them can deepen negative feelings. Instead, try to find small steps that can bring relief and light to your daily life. You don't truly want to stay in these negative thoughts. Happiness often comes from working through difficult emotions and being brave enough to seek help and support. Every one of us is cold inside; we need someone else's warmth to keep ourselves warm. It's a two-way street. They are cold, we are cold, we warm each other. But people seek warmth, they don't seek coldness. If you are cold, hollow, and empty inside, what is there to look for? Nothing. Fill yourself with something to give to others, and they will give unto you what they have. It's an even trade so that you both may be warm on cold nights. PS: I found this channel and these kind of videos about a week ago and immediately fell in love with them. I like especially your consistency. I will keep writing these little short stories/self thoughts as long as you keep uploading, unless you want me to stop, which is totally acceptable. Regardless, thank you GNOT EE, you bring an immensely bright light into my unending darkness in so many ways.
@@J-wj5ks Exactly. Thinking big, aiming high, it feels like scamming yourself. Like, you are never gonna get THAT far are you? You might not, but that's what you think about every goal you set for yourself. You aim for 100%, you land at 10%, you were 90% off. Well, that didn't feel like much, what was the point? You aim at 1000%, you land at 100%, it's still 900% (dont get too deep on the maths here) off from what you aimed at, but it's still 100% better than you were before. Hell, even landing at the moon is better than standing around your own Earth waiting it to melt down and drag you with it.
It makes me sad and mad at the same time knowing that I'm gonna die one day and there's nothing I can do to stop it. I am starting to loose interest in things sometimes because I don't see the point in most things. What's the point of building a empire if it's going to go up in flames one day, that's the greatest comparison and I can give to explain it. I'm so life is hard and expensive and death is easy and cheap.
