- Building a Redi Rock retaining wall next to a creek. Redi-Rock are precast modular blocks, which are consider a "big block retaining wall". First we needed to build a cofferdam using sand bags to block the water flow from our work area. Then we excavated to a depth of 12' below. We then poured our base which was a 18" concrete slab / footing. The concrete footer was reinforced with #5 rebar. This is part 1 of the job, stay tuned for more!

All that paperwork and work to build something to keep nature from doing what it wants. Looks like a challenging project but it always amazes me that you can dig next to and under a water level and it is dry. Around here the water level is the same everywhere. I look forward to seeing what Redi-Rock is. Great video although I do turn the volume down when the chipmunks start singing, LOL!
Cool video. Looking forward to part 2.
Great video looking forward to part 2
I watch the part 2 first and looks Really good the wall 👍
Thank you, yes this wall is very solid
Great job Sean!!
Thankyou,. Looking forward to part 2
The cost of building that wall is almost the price of a home? With everything required to do just to be able to start building the wall. Interesting vid.
How much does the footing have in it.
The footing is 10 yards of concrete. I over ordered a little bit and we ended up with 18" of concrete. The plans called for 12" minimum. Thanks for watching
@@srmcontracting Okay. That's not going anywhere.
