From brokering alliances to remedy historical conflicts, to contesting logging plans in one of the largest intact rainforests in one of Africa’s biodiversity hotspots, Ekwoge Abwe has given a lifetime’s work to securing a better future for his country’s people and wildlife.

The Tusk Award for Conservation in Africa - Fanny Minesi (Democratic Republic of the Congo)
A determined advocate for nature and people, Fanny Minesi rescues endangered bonobos from poachers, gives them sanctuary, and rewilds them in the rainforests of the DRC

Tusk Wildlife Ranger Award - Jealous Mpofu (Zimbabwe)
A home-grown hero, Jealous has dedicated his working life to protecting the painted dogs in and around Hwange National Park. He knows each dog as an individual - they are “his dogs”.

I couldn't be more proud of the man Prince William has become . He will be a wonderful and loyal support to his Father , King Charles , and is one son who can be trusted and relied upon . Our prince of Wales will make a fine king one day , With His dedication to duty , his loyalty ,and having such a strong connection to the public of all ages in the UK and the Commonwealth . It's not surprising that Prince William and his lovely wife are so loved by so many throughout the UK and all over the world. I applaud and respect the Wonderful Prince and Princess of Wales . The Wales family is like a breath of fresh air and it's lovely to be able to watch the children growing up . Couldn't be more proud of them . 👏

Thank goodness for social media for giving a platform for the Tusk awards to be seen as the MSM don't cover it. I hope William's own SM and the Royal Foundation continue to push awareness of this organisation, and others such as United for Wildlife and the range of amazing work they do. you are right your highness to put your finger on the problems that Africa is experiencing because of global warming 🙏 but here in Switzerland we are also strongly impacted by this phenomenon our glacier is melting at a crazy speed yes it is a problem world and only together we will be able to do something yes together 🙏🙏

and here in Panama some islands are submerging. I don't understand why there are people who do not believe in the effects of climate change.

Sir, Africa has problems with illegal logging that takes away much help for the environment. Are the rangers tasked with stopping those criminal elements too? You and your brother have really shown your sense of duty and stewardship from helping the continent of Africa. I hope there are lots of Caribbean nominations for next year's Earthshot Prize.
