this is bullcrap. half the time the kid is the one who choses the sport. if he wants to play tackle let it be.

If kids don’t play tackle football until there 18 they might as well say bye bye to their passions. Flag football is extremely soft. As soon as a kid transitions it’s going to be pure hell.

Child abuse for letting kids play football where parents now are saying let's see if our kids sexually attracted to boys or girls let's have our kids use drugs and drink under the age as long as they are in the house or give our kids a false interpretation of the world so when they go out at 18 they get knocked on they're behind realize their parents lied. Football has risks yes but so does everything in life its how the world works and football can teach kids alot of positive things but if you're only going to target the negatives of something and only believe the negatives, then it is not about safety of the child it is about your own bias. Kids and parents who don't want to play football should not feel pressured to do so and there just don't do it simple. Don't make the rest of the world conform to your own beliefs some of history's worst people already tried that and failed.

Sure ok. Kids shouldn't play the sports that, half of the time, is what gives them scholarships to go to college to become doctors or pathologists or teachers... Sports scholarships is how a LOT of kids get into colleges.

Danielle M you exaggerated the "a LOT" part, only about two-percent of high school athletes are awarded athletics scholarships to compete in college.

Unless your kids a freak of nature if you wait until he’s 18 to play, he won’t ever see the field anyway 😂

Just remove all the pads and helmet. The helmet itself causes the risk for head trauma because it gives a false sense of invulnerability, encouraging reckless contact. Without it, the kids will, by instinct, avoid voluntarily clashing heads.
