I got good ol Alferson a week ago, and I LOVE him. I made him a little couch out of cardboard and displayed him in a space i had on my movie shelf, I also cut the back blue pattern cardboard piece in the box and placed it on the the bottom of the shelf to simulate a carpet. I kinda have him in a position with his accessories like he's watching a movie. All the stuff Alf comes with brings to mind tons of different display options, he comes with so much to the point where I gave the microphone radio thing to my NECA Doc Brown figure because I though he looked nice with it. 100% recommended buy!
Interesting fact: actor Mészaros Mihály played ALF in full growth, and Poul Fusco voiced and directed ALF . Hi put his hand under scenery , and a doll was dressed on his hand. Coll review!!
The pointer finger hands also work very well to handle certain kinds of guns, mine currently is holding the revolver that came with the original release of the McFarlane DC Multiverse Arkham Joker, and then one of the cartoon Turtles in Disguise trenchcoats. This ALF is a super-fun figure! I just love putting him in situations that he would never have been in in his old TV show
That would be fun to see! I do the same thing with my figures! 😱
noooooo😢 ALF would never handle a gun❤ he is a peaceful Alien
I used to draw Alf also. For some reason I used to draw him transformed into a big scary monster. Lol
Great review of a great figure. You can put the arms of his glasses behind his ears, just need to lift his hair a bit to poke the arms through. You'll see there's even a notch where the ear meets the head for them. The jaw also has a bit side ways movement to give his pensive/unsure/scared face, it works really well. I only wish the legs went foward a bit higher to get him in his classic seated postion, but a bit of manipulation of the fur around the legs might let them go high enough. I turned 50 last year and have many fond memories of watching ALF and recently rewatched the whole lot (including the TV movie ending). Still holds up, and still has the magic.
I think it's common for performers to "grow into" a puppet persona, usually becoming more animated and expressive along the way, so it's not that odd to hear ALF's voice change. The same was true of John Kassir on Tales from the Crypt, which also had to do with how limited the facial expressions of the initial Crypt Keeper were. As more servos were added to the face, he was free to be more shrill and animated, rather than speaking slowly in a raspy voice.
Remember ALF? He's back, in Neca form.
Thanks for the review Spot, and great figure, as a child of the 80's this was a must buy for me.
Milhouse 😅😅😅😅😅😅
Paul Fusco changed the voice because using the original one he had began to hurt his throat. So he went with the voice we're all familiar with today. :)
I’m 20 years old and I grew up with Alf!
you beet me reaper but Neca did a great job love all the fur sculpting 2nd
Thanks for the video spot
Anyone remember ALF hosting the show Talk Soup on E? It was hilarious. I think it might still be posted somewhere on here
I need to get this guy. As a kid from the 80's , this was part of my childhood. Excellent review as always buddy. 💯👋🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼👍🏼✌🏼
One of Neca's best figures!
I hope to see an alf puppet in the future (like Ashy Slashy)
This is amazing! Loved this show back in the day! Such nostalgia! Great work #NECAToys ! Thanks for the review The Review Spot.... I need to pick one up now!
I love Alf. (Obviously?) I just got one today at Target and it's incredible. A+ NECA.
Love Alf Tv series , we in Germany had a synchron Voice Guy called Tom Pieper, and his Voice are darker raw like a sarcastic Dude..was perfect for Alf’s Character Design:)
Love the video & figure, they changed the voice of ALF because it was difficult for the voice actor to keep doing, well from the behind the scenes documentary
Been watching this channel my whole life. For years since I was a kid I’ve always watched your reviews. Keep up the great work.
Great review! I picked up Alf a few days ago, and I love the figure. I didn't know I wanted an Alf figure until I saw what a good job NECA did.
If I have a nitpick, it's that there isn't an alternate head with Alf's nose scrunched up, the expression he made when he was scared or shocked.
As for your demographic question, I am old enough to have watched Alf's original run when I was a child.
Neca needs to do drop hinges and better shoulder articulation as well as double jointed knees on some figures and they would be unstopabble
NECA may re-release this in animated colors, in order to get more use out of this new mold. (kind of how they re-released some of their figures in video game paint schemes.
I was actually able to get the shirt on with his hands still on. Awesome figure to go with my 80's collection!
cool
Thanks, Spot!
I definitely grew up watching Alf 🙌 I'm 24
You could use weaponry from Jason Voorhees or Ghostface. You could also use the popcorn and such from Alf to use on Ghostface and Jason. I mean Reboot Jason has a teddy bear.
no, it's FvJ jason that has the teddy.
Neca did make a couple of Alf cartoon figures but they are more like the Tooney Terrors figures
Alf neca 80's acabei de fazer o Review também ♥️🎬💀
His girlfriend Rhonda is who's in the photo! :) Great review spot! Big ALF fan myself so I definitely gotta pick this up!
yeah, I couldn't tell if that was Rhonda or not
Would’ve been nice to have came with a saxophone
Search 1/12 scale saxophone, that might work
GREAT ALF FIGURE REVIEW SPOT LOL INTERESTING FIGURE SPOT 👏😉👏
I got this Alf it’s really good
I just picked him up today. Great figure.
awesome thank u for the video
I remember ALF Burger King puppets.
oh you remember them too?
Oh, yeah I remember ALF for sure, I wish they give ALF an update show....maybe, and that NECA did a great job making a figure of him.
Alf is gay now he also black lol.
@@Mr_Shitlord And this comment is coming from someone who decided to call themselves a Shitlord.
Saw this the other day along with the Toon looking one but was broke so didn't pick them up. Great looking figures though!
Side note, any ALF fans ever see the movie Permanent Midnight with Ben Stiller? It's about the writer on the show and his drug addiction. There's a show on it called Mr Chompers based on ALF.
Great review spot! I haven’t watched alf since i had literally had no way! But i will find some way
Many of the ALF TV shows are on youtube just search for them. You can download all of them too from elsewhere if you know how.
@@niktes3337 wait what? I did search for alf on youtube but it gave me clips
@@Martianboi7 There are full episodes on youtube.

@@niktes3337 i’ll watch them when it’s evening for me
Neca needs to redo the Mogwai bodies in the same softer round body like ALF so they have more articulation and can set. Also Neca has just released some static Cartoon ALF figures.
HEY, WILLIE! 😎
i do not hear too many differences in voices from the first and last season but maybe it's me
Like always,, Great review!
How did you get the glasses on without breaking the frame? Can't seem to get them through his hair and ears
The Picture is Rhonda his GF who flees with his buddy skip from Exploding Melmac 😅
When you say "The legs split out, you can see there's BALL joints", just sound a little bit awkward, but...never mind 😄😄😄 @The Review Spot
So you like to drink your popcorn!?😱😱🤣🤣
sometimes it seems that way yeah lol
Awesome review man! Believe it or not, NECA released animated Alf figures that are arriving to local Targets now 👀
Don’t lie
@calebdonaldson7044 I would never lol, they did a yellow shirt Alf with his saxophone and one dressed like a sports player
@@calebdonaldson7044 They're Neca haul a thon items, I believe.
What happened to Mr. Belvedere great 80s show!
Maybe Mcfarlane could make Belvedere in the next wave of movie maniacs.
The picture is of Rhonda, ALF's girlfriend. The Fusco can is referencing Paul Fusco, ALF's voice, creator and puppeteer.
exactly
11:10 "But this actually looks just like ALF."...No, they tend to make the eye balls too big, too "
jumped out", and from that on they look too close. Also the eyebrowse - in here they are too close to the hairline... They always messed up the eyes and the eyebrowse on all toys.I am avid ALF fan and grew up in the 80s with the dude...Fan of him since then.
this is scary
How tall is it
I measured him in the review?
I think you got a pair of the same hands by mistake.
Paul Fusco is the voice actor for ALF and the fake Pepsi can say FUSCO. Get it?
Sure do :)
