I do know how expensive they are and you don't need the most expensive knife. You think that are all $400+ when they aren't. I could buy a knife right now for about £20. It would be crap but it's still a knife and it isn't expensive. Or I could save up and in a few weeks I could have a £200+ knife (Maybe a reasonable Bayonet skin or Stattrak Falchion Knife.) Trading your way up to a knife takes a stupid amount of time and since he's shown this vid everyone will be trying to do it. It simply won't work now because we are smarter and aware of this.

5 days of 5 hours a day of trading and still haven't managed to sell any of my skins for 1p more than their value. I don't understand how people do this "nothing to a knife" when its so difficult just to sell one item for something of equal value, let alone make a profit, no matter how small.
I am honoured that this video got as much attention as it did, but I think it has made trading a completely different thing now.
Because there are nearly 1 million people, from my video alone, who are aware of people trading up, if not, trying it themselves. Therefore it is no longer about trying to find items to trade up to, it is now about trying to find people who aren't trading up, making it much harder these days.

Well I did, I did infact get a knife, my new one is. Once you get a knife, you are more likely to get it hijacked, then soon reporting to steam, steam will refuse to give your knife back into your inventory, amen.

+BeyondTheGame So I'm assuming for a moment, because I don't know CS:GO at all, that the price of the knife is approximately $66.25. It took him 310 hours of effort to get the knife. That's $0.21 per hour. Assuming you work a job at $9 an hour, you could have that knife in 7 and a half hours. Just some maths for ya.
I don't know though BeyondTheGame $120 is pretty steep to pay for a knife. That's like 13 and a half hours of work, which is like 297 hours less time. Heaven forbid I work easier to pay for the knife, 310 hours is really what I want to put myself through. It's much more "fulfilling" to shovel the same dirt pile back and forth over and over and over again.
With all of that sarcasm aside, I'm an avid believer in the time vs. money paradigm. I'm often spending more time researching and diy, than paying to get it done. However the balance of time vs. money is pretty clear to understand in this instance.
310 hours at $9/hr is $2790. Take those motivational speeches to heart. Put your effort into it and work out the difference. Balance it out.
