One tool I have not seen yet on RUclips for 3d printing is an extension adapter to the digital caliper. That would be a great accessory to 3d print because buying an extension attachment for digital caliper can be pricey. Just thought I would put that idea out there. Cool thing about digital calipers is all the accessories attachments you can use on the main jaws and on the back side you can attach a depth gauge attachment. Most pricey accessory I have seen though for the digital caliper is the extender attachment but makes it way more handy for other tasks at hand.
I hope for x/y/z you don´t use these cubes. An error of use 0.05mm/20mm adds up with big prints. Also you don´t want to calibrate the printer to a specific slicer setting or filament. Good points. Honestly my favorite tool lately has been a micrometer for accurately measuring wall thickness for flow testing.
What size is a good recommendation 6" or 8"?
Depends on your usages. For just dialing in 3D prints the smaller should be fine (I wanted one that could do at least 100mm plus)
