Howdy, make sure to subscribe & look out for a future episode as we'll be iNav'ing with a tiny 20x20 F4 board for an ultra light setup. Remember you can grab this wing here bit.ly/2xlL7j2 and the PNP parts as mentioned don't appear to be poop, yay! Matt
RagTheNutsOff You sir, are a complete a$$ for convincing me to buy this one 😂... Don’t know if it’s a good idea as 1st wing, but we’ll find that one out when it gets here. Only have 11-ish quads, and will surely LoS it first. Have to make sure my mate is there on the first flight to capture that #Landed!-moment 😅 How is your beasty computer build doing? Greetz from Belgium!
Mine is on the way, I plan on installing the simple RMRC Gyro, for the Recruit, just for a half ass stabilizer and some launch mode help if needed. This is my 3rd wing of this type, AR Wing V2, Recruit and now the Mini AR, love the first 2, have great hopes for the next.
Hey Floyd, yea thats what I'm thinking, just the extra help to cope with wind. And yes this one will be a good handful for you after those wings, you'll enjoy it. Matt
Hey Matt, I put a MATEK F411 wing in this bad boy, running Inav 2.0 with a mini Ublox GPS and a Runcam mini split 2, running 4S 1300mah Tattu's and 4S 850mah Infinity graphene's, VTX is a Hawkeye Raceband mini 200MW 32CH, RX is a Frsky R9mm running Fport firmware. Absolutely insane !! Oh' By the way, it's a 600mm wing.
@@RagTheNutsOff Don't have the servo wires hooked up at the moment or the R9mm but still will have the room, thinking about turning my matek f411 90 degrees. Oh' and I put earth magnets on the wings instead of gluing them. www.dropbox.com/sh/oy06c7rm6p2uhf2/AABHRXaZ45OUzNpIn0pcpfmha?dl=0
How about a couple of pics of your build - maybe in the Zohd group on Facebook? My F35 and GPS will be here on Tuesday. Love to see how you arranged the Matek.
Checking my supply of earth magnets - turns out I have a bunch of 8x3's so I'm going to give this a try. We live in a motorhome so space is always at a premium!
That's a nice little wing. It seemed to fly well but possibly a little quicker than I could cope with. At least at first. I'd probably use the stickers if for no other reason than to give my observer a chance of spotting properly. _Those were truly gallant efforts to widen the gap past the tree but probably a saw would be easier_ :D
Thanks, Matt, it's on a 4-day flash sale now, and out of stock. I guess you're good for sales. I'll get one soon enough. Thanks for your excellent review!
Got one of these and love it! Wouldn’t have taken the plunge without your review so thanks! What would you look to for next something at least as fast but maybe bigger for longer flights? I like speed!!!!!
The R9 MM would be an easy fit, its tiny. I’d be tempted with that receiver even without INAV and use it for PWM, after all its cheaper than the D4R-II, so why the hell not.
Hey hey, lol absolutely, at a tenner a go, it's peanuts! However, I am thinking I would like a stabiliser in it and I do have a pair of tiny F4 boards I could use for it too. Matt
Morning, yea it might be a push to get that one in there. Although I think Callum got one in his in the FB group? Anyway, I'll be using the tiny 2x2 F4 board in mine. Matt
Hi , I don't want to ask a stupid question , but ........low rates / high rates , how much deflection on the control surfaces are you using or recommend ?
Hey Brian, I didn't do that in the end. Instead it's taken loads (and I mean loads) of smacks and it's still going. Not the best in windy conditions, but great fun. I like it a lot. Matt
hi, thanks a lot for your very helpful video. i'm having difficulties configuring my f3 spracing(3.5.7) controller with my arwing mini. in betaflight in the receiver tab chanel are moving, but servos and motor dont!?!? i configured flying mode but i can't figure out how to solve the problem. if i remover the FC everything working fine? whats my mistake??? please help!! ciao from italy alessandro
Howdy fella, great question. Normally off, so manual mode. However horizon is handy for getting the edge of any wind and for landing and 3D cruise mode is amazing too for longer flights in a straight line. Hope that helps, Matt
On my S800 I tend to fly it around in ACRO/AIR mode 95% of the time. Just helps soak up some of the bumps, but with these small wings any wind is gonna make for a bumpy flight. And I can't agree with Matt More, 3D Cruise is great for GPS assisted flight.
Hi bro! I have a problem with my mini AR wing....maybe you can help me. The problem is in auto launch. (She never flew, only crashes) When I try the function she go upside down. I verified the movement of the surface and seems ok...it drive me crazy...matek f405 wing, inav 2.2.1
Howdy Robbo, I have no idea on auto launch, I don't see the point of the mode and have never tried it. I does sound like you have the roll axis backwards as that should not happen. Go back and double, triple check the surface movements. Matt
Hey Wesley, oh I've not done that with mine. If's only a 20A one, it's still to have got luke warm even after thrashing on 3S packs. I'll check mine as soon as I can. Thanks for the heads up, Matt

Morning! Ah this wouldn't make the best first wing, however see the Reptile S800 as that will take a beating :) Matt
Could you give me an updated list of components for the reptile s800? I am also new to wings. Thanks
RagTheNutsOff Too late, it will be abused, as it already is on it’s way 😅
I've got a Kingkong 600X and use a 20mm flight controller, a 4S 1500mah Lipo, Emax rs2 2306 2600 kv, 6"prop. Speeds up to 260km/h.

I dopplered it and speed varied from 98-85 km/h. That's quick enough for such a small beastie.
Morning, yea it's shifting thats for sure. It has a nice speed envelope for slow cruising, to full knacker fun. Matt

Brilliant Matt, we really enjoyed it! Thank you!!! :D
Thanks for the video Matt. Banggood took the price up to $100 after this came out. I'll consider it when it goes back on sale. It's not a $100 plane.
Howdy Steve, agreed it's not. But check now as it's showing as $55.99, Matt

Thanx, Matt! Great review, as usual, just bought one for my own abuses😉😁👍
Abuse it well! :D
Ordered my one on strength of your review Mat

RagTheNutsOff Cool. Do you think an F411-WING would cram in there? I may be ripping one out my F1 Wing and going au natural with that model.

Not bad!! So instead of a Bonsai ll which had issues, would this be a good replacement? (ps Craig can really whip stuff around LOS... Aces.)
Argh!!! Once again I should have waited until the end before commenting and get my questions answered. I'm a tool....
hey Matt hail from the USA! did you ever get around to putting a controller and gps in this little model? What is your long term opinion good sir.
Hey Brian, I didn't do that in the end. Instead it's taken loads (and I mean loads) of smacks and it's still going. Not the best in windy conditions, but great fun. I like it a lot. Matt
@@RagTheNutsOff I'm thinking of buying one
Brian, I like mine. It's staying :)
The only tree for about a mile and you hit it not once but three times...
Howdy Phil, that tree is a pain ;)
Another fantastic video.
Thank you :) Matt

How does this compare to z84? My z84 wiggles quite a bit
Hi Matt What Inav flight modes do you use when flying these small fast wings ??
Howdy fella, great question. Normally off, so manual mode. However horizon is handy for getting the edge of any wind and for landing and 3D cruise mode is amazing too for longer flights in a straight line. Hope that helps, Matt

Great vid. I just ordered 1 to bash, flash sale on banggood $55 free shipping.
Howdy Chris, I've wrapped mine round numerous trees, it's still going! Matt
Damn damn damn. It was 55 bucks for a while but I was holding off buying it until your full review. Now... 99 bucks... I just can't win lol.
Morning, check now. Looks like they played with the pricing and it's gone back down to $55.99 this morning, Matt
Yup, it went back to 55.99 just ordered it and it's on the way. Whatever you did to them, and I hope it was legal, you are the man!
HAHHAHA!

RagTheNutsOff I ran 4s and only saw ~17amps draw so you should be good.
Hey Wesley, phew! I've sneaking in a few small S packs for today's flying :) Matt
Nice....nearly as good as the Batwing 680 runs an hides
Hey Julian, yea that thing has a huge bay in it too, Matt
£77 now :-(
Howdy, check now, it's showing as $55.99. Matt
So I can just use a reciever and no flight controler? Or do I need a flight controller
You don't need a flight controller to fly it, but fc's are usefull since they give you stabilised modes, launch mode, osd etc.
