I've been listening to the OST on and off for about 2 months now (only the pre-release so far though) and I liked it very much! I wasn't surprised, it's Evan Call after all. I love the Violet Evergarden OST as well. But for some bizarre reason something changed yesterday (I watched Gigguk's video on Frieren)(then I watched 4 episodes) I became completely obsessed with the music, mostly the main theme and the many variations it appears in.
Is this a medley? NO. But also yes. It's a mini-medley. In reality it's an excuse for me to play the part at 3:00 because it moved me, so I decided to pick some other things from the OST to maybe make a video out of it. I spent all evening yesterday transcribing and only really practiced it today so it's pretty barebones and rushed but I absolutely had to get it out of my system. I couldn't sleep last night because my mind looped the theme for 2 hours. It restarted the second I woke up LOL the things music does to us.
I absolutely want to write a longer medley for it, when the full OST releases! So treat this as a trailer or something. I'll share the sheet music soon, probably.

OH YES!!!! I can't get enough of this anime! I enjoyed every episode of Freiren and I can't remember loving an anime series that much since idk maybe Vinland Saga or Mob Psycho. Thank you for this wonderful arrangement.

Pinky vibrato lol, and yeah having the context of the show definitely enhances the OST. It took a while for it to stick with me too.

I only know Frieren by its manga version, and I'm still keeping the anime for later on. Hearing this for the first time felt awesome and rather accurate to the atmosphere the manga has..!

I think it’s to release tension! I don’t do it consciously to be honest. Like vibrato for string instruments, even though it makes very little sense on piano!
