Love for it doesn' t translate into awards. Golden Globes was a dissapoinment and usually an indicator of Oscar, the film was not even nominated and I have the feeling Cate will be passed over by one of the other actresses. Rooney, I don' t know, her performance was exactly within Therese- for those who read the book- but it also kind of Rooney personality, shy and quiet, so I am not sure how much acting effort went into it and whether the academy might reward her for losing for Girl with Dragon Tatoo. It' s going to be interesting for Carol fans.
