Click bait get it right. The picture of the child you had fazed out was TUPAC . Not Kendrick. If you gone tell a persons story get it right . After I saw that I clicked off. Kendrick is the only one who can truly tell his stories.
When he was given the torch to the west, he never looked back. Now he’s running the entire rap game, while paying respects to hip hop and those who paved the way for him. If that ain’t a 🐐 idk what is.
He took it so seriously and never stopped. He truly loves LA, he loves us (Angelenos) and he feels a duty to uplift and protect us. Some guy who just wanted to be the best rapper might have become the best rapper, but not in the way Kendrick cares for his people is duty, loyalty, and love. He is fun, smart, and popular but also educates us, inspires us, unites us. We're so lucky he is one of the people who represents us. All that gift, all that fame, and he never left his people behind

I say your former statement is correct . He is ONE of the Best!! Trust me, Ain't no real best rapper. You say Jay, Some one says Nas (And Vice Versa), Pac, Biggie, Busta Rhymes, Scarface, J.Cole, T.I, And the One & Only EMINEM!
“Since Kendrick, grew up in Compton, then it is understandable that he couldn’t have a normal and happy childhood.” What?! Where do you get this madness from? I’m certain that some people were lucky and managed to have a happy childhood, even though they lived in Compton. Omg, the people that live in these areas are just humans, people who just happen to live in a place where crime happens around them. There are some who participated, but not everyone.
So tired of that racist trope. I grew up Southside Chicago about two miles from Robert Taylor Homes where my cousins and one of our National Negro Scholars also lived. And I lived in a gorgeous tree lined neighborhood by the lake with Chaka Khan, the Chicago Arts ensemble, Phil Cohran, Oscar brown, jr, JeanPace. Black Stones P Stone Nation running the street life! And the Nation and FOI keeping everybody in line. I am so happy that I am privileged enough to be alive in the era of Kendrick Lamar. Any other era in music is pointless in comparison and Kendrick is the greatest to ever walk the earth. I believe in Kendrick and everything he does. No one comes close to him

This was a great documentary! I’m from Northern California and have a past of dating “members”. I’m aware of “politics”, but just learned of Southern California politics as recent as 2 years ago. With that knowledge, I understood the impact of the Pop Out, along with the Kendrick/Drake beef. This documentary shows that Drake was light work for Kendrick and he wasn’t even the focus. I can clearly see how NLU was a victory lap for him, but for a reason way deeper than beating Drake. It was somewhat of a conclusion to his journey of what he has been trying to do with his music, and what he experienced growing up. That picture with all those “members” is that much more meaningful to me after watching your documentary. I worry for Kendrick because when you do something so powerful, it seems like you’ve completed your purpose. I believe God calls people home when we’re close to fulfilling our purpose. Evil will never let the full purpose come to fruition. I’ll pray that we get to keep him longer, He has enough angels with Him already.

Please don't put it out there that because he grew up in Compton that he could not have a "happy or normal" childhood. That is not necessarily the case for everyone or "all" who grew up there. Despite the facts and what we contended with living there, there was also a strong sense of community and unity outside of the gang/drug/violence culture that surrounded our city. Proud, educated, successful, thriving, and giving back "Comptonite" here!

Yes they have, but those guys gave him his inspiration, we just forgot what it was like before MySpace.
