- Just as Lori Anne Thompson shared vulnerably at Restore 2022, so too did a woman who once didn't believe her.
This special-edition video begins with the testimony of Ruth Malhotra, former PR representative for Ravi Zacharias International Ministries. She tells her account of, at first, disbelieving Lori Anne's story . . . and then becoming a whistleblower and reformer within the organization. It's a story of forgiveness, courage, and beauty from ashes.
Her brief story is followed by Lori Anne-one of Ravi Zacharias' multiple sex abuse victims-transparently sharing her insights on effective victim advocacy in dialogue with well-known author Karen Swallow Prior.

So sad…. She grew up already in sexual abusive environment as a child , she re-played this role over and over again with other men who are in authority figure…. May Lord heal your heart and mind, so you no longer fall into same trap. Self work is essential.
And Lori is a poor little victim that willingly stripped off her clothes and willingly sent nude pics to another man who was not her husband, as well as texts of a explicit nature, and yet the world is acting like shes a poor little victim of Ravi. What he did was wrong and what she did was wrong. STOP acting like shes a victim instead of a willing participant.
If you too the time to read about her upbringing with an abusive sexual predator Father, then you would not be so lacking in understanding.
It takes 2 to tango. LAT is just as guilty as Ravi. Also the PR lady was part of RZIM till 2021 seems to indicate she was somehow okay with what happened.
Thank you Lori Anne and Ruth. I appreciate the both of you and even though speaking out is painful, you are both insightful and thoughtful Believers. I realize healing is a process and as a married man, I sympathize with Brad and Lori Anne in their ongoing healing.
I was gaslighting my wife early in our marriage and I had a lot of inner anger that manifested itself in ugly ways. I am thankful to Jesus that He revealed this vice in my life and I was able to study and spot distrustful behaviors in a new way. Blessings on your family and I appreciate you, Ruth, as you were right in the lion's den, but you were rescued.
Thank you Jesus for giving the opportunity for the victims to speak and get justice

Understand not wanting to hear the “F” word, but~unfortunately when things get to the point of no one listening to the truth~people resort to all kind of language and actions, unfortunately. Remember, Peter though “Do you know this man?”Peter got so upset, he cursed~( as to whatever the words were) Know the Scriptures, that we are to put away certain language and conversation. But, we are real just like people in scripture…
Ravi Zacharias said Thomas and her husband were extortionists and she's making a bundle from all of this isn't she? Trauma from sexting? I know a woman who gets 100% compensation for PTSD while serving as a nurse in the air force... in Florida!!!
As much as I wanted to hear about the trauma, I certainly did not want to hear the F word in the middle of this presentation. Not appreciated

@@adamcraig1468 The abuse was not physical; she was groomed so don't be so naive and judgmental. There is a lot of infidelity and adultery in the church, in fact, the church is no different than the world. The church just likes to parade itself as different than the world.

@@knightnight9160 I hope you will actually listen to her interviews because she does take responsibility for her behavior. Sadly, the supporters of Ravi love to focus on her and ignore Ravis's behavior. I hope you're not one of them.

isn't that a bit of a demeaning statement to make? Surely, she is more than just a "woman who cheated her husband." Right? What do you believe about Ravi? Is he nothing more than a man who cheated his wife? See how that works?
@@kurtanderson5023no one is denying that Ravi was a sexual predator who is now awaiting his judgment for any unrepentant sins.
However, there are little to no one calling for accountability on Lori's behalf.
She is a married woman who gave photos of her body to another man.
This would have been avoided if she had taken into account God's command against adultery.
There is forgiveness, of course, but there needs to be an acknowledgment of sin on her part as well and to address any hurt her husband feels for the betrayal.
@@Marlaina I respectfully point out that Mrs. Thompson has received death threats and severe judgement by those who believe she is responsible for Ravi's downfall. She, as will Ravi, be ultimately accountable to God. While I agree that she should have not given the photos to Ravi, He was responsible for his behavior. He should have immediately brought it to his wife's attention then the Board. He did neither.

Who wrote the testimony for Ruth? Seems to be a well cooked story narrated with no emotion. Maybe the Hollywood writers are invested in this storyline
Maybe since she was a PR person, she is naturally good at speaking.
