  • In this video, I wanted to cover a few different options of how to store your kayak on stands. Now, this is not everything available on the market, just a few that I have experience with. Below are links to the products featured in this video:

That PDL 120 should have the stand 1/3 of the way from the bow and stern per Old Town's storage tips. Will that stand still fit at that wider point?

@@wurdwalkupridedown7829 Great question and to be honest, the answer is no. Now, due to the width of the Predator, the Suspenz stands that it is on are not positioned where they should be to your point. Now Suspenz has just released a new model called the Yellow Fin that is made for the widest kayaks on the market. That would be a better fit in my opinion.

I have a Jackson liska, do you the the suspenz super duty big catch stands would work for long term storage?

@@dereckmcgowan8337 Thank you for your question. I personally do not have any experience with that kayak but it appears that it is approximately 34” wide at the beam. To be honest, I would probably look at their new Yellow Fin stands as it seems it is built for kayaks that are wider. Just my opinion, you could also email Suspenz and ask for their opinion.

For the Suspenz Super Duty Big Catch Work Stations: If using a Salty 120, would you keep it and store it outside on these stands? Would you be worried about warping in the middle in the summer heat?

I actually have my Salty 120 PDL on them now and due to the large stern of the kayak, there is a lot of space between the stands because the rear stand is so close to the end. If keeping it outside, I would be careful of unnecessary weight such as rain, snow (if you get snow) building up in the middle and warping to your point. I live in Florida but keep my kayaks in a garage so I don’t have to worry about the elements.

Homemade ones work as well, I’m just not very handy to trust one I built. 😂
