My grandma taught me this, but we used mostly diamonds and supplemented with triangles so there was a little less to sew :) very nice!

Love your craft work it’s so simple and relaxing. Just using scraps of colourful cottons. The finished work is special. They would make lovely gifts. I will endeavour to start a project. I am inspired. 😎👍
I've learnt a lot from watching your videos. You proved my textiles teacher wrong about tacking/basting the thread can be knotted. I recently used a different sewing needle with bigger eye for fabric wrapping around the paper piece this really helped with the threading. I normally use the same needle for both tacking and sewing Clover No.9 applique. I went back to my sewing box and picked needle similar size but with bigger eye. Lately, I have been finding hand sewing not enjoying because been feeling depressed and stress. I've learnt slowing down helps. Your videos give me inspiration for patchwork projects. I haven't found a place which sells the stuff fabric mesh or self adhesive wadding. Interfacing and normal iron on are closest. Most of time it's better to use what is in your stash.
Many people feel like you in this days and this video's help us to be more relaxing. I've found that hand sewing helps me to canalise my anxiety.
