But the dishwasher- if it has nothing to clean off, that highly caustic detergent has nothing to do. Nothing to neutralise it and so it will attack your dishes and dishwasher. This is known and it will go out into the environment to an extent and do this also in waterways.
You don't hand wash your clothing before the machine use does one? Shove it in the dishwasher dirty.

I had a gay flatmate in the 1980s. He was a terrible driver, i was so nervous just traveling to the supermarket with him. One day i asked him if he has a crash helmet that I could wear.
