    Hey Danny, im a pageant fanatic and one of your loyal followers currently competing in my first pageant on the 1st October. My only weekness is the "walk" everytime we go for rehearsals, the pageant director always calls me out for having the weekest walk...I'm told it's a lazy walk ...I've seriously tried my level best. .....just when I feel like im improving, turns out she's still not impressed....I'm seriously worried and losing my morale cause the finale is in two weeks ....I seriously needed this video...I pray I do better at my last rehearsals next weekend.😭😭😭😭

    Attended a pageant for my daughter on Saturday. One girl looked like she was skiing with her arms. Another contestant kept lifting her shoulders when she walked, almost like she was dancing. I also saw a few Baby Giraffe and several Glitz Arms.

      @@mori2039 hahahaha nooo! Focus on the colors that look best on you. If 6/10 winners were blonde they could have won in black gowns, because that's what makes sense for them. But if you're not blonde then the black gown (as an example) wouldn't make sense for you.

      @@mori2039 Hi. I am a pageant fan for so many years now and living in the Philippines where pageantry is a really big thing, we really do not apply statistics on our queens. :D we always try to make her look special from all other contestants because that's what will make her standout. However, we study our queen/candidate. what color makes her shine, what cut or design fits her body shape better, makeup, even for the hair. we notice that a lot of countries think that pageantry has a formula. Some countries try to analyze and get ideas or even copy things or qualities of the current winner. and we don't do that here in the Philippines. And that is our secret. we train our queens here based on what makes them shine more rather than what is hot in the pageantry right now. So yeah there should not be a formula. actually we try to avoid an "oh she reminds me of this past queen" moment because that will pull her away from the crown. so yeah, in pageantry, just focus on making your queen look gorgeous and special than any other queens aside from also practicing the technicalities. and it will make her standout.

    Dani, what's your take on Miss Puerto Rico's "shoulder walk" in her EG performance at MU 2021? Many says it costed her top 5 placement. That walk was really horrible. She also did it again at her final walk in Miss Puerto Rico 2022. She gave me a good laugh the second time I saw her walk.

    • @hadysabbagh8081

      The face change. it's as crucial as the walk and the candidate's intelligence in today's pageants. No matter how beautiful your walk is and no matter how intelligent you are, if your face is just a static smile, you can still have a chance to be overshadowed. because to have appropriate varying facial expressions on stage while walking can really give a statement to the judges like "you got this" and it can also show to the judges your confidence as if like you have been doing runway for a lot of times already even if you might haven't yet. So yes, practicing the face change is crucial because you cannot walk with a static smile face on stage. No matter how natural your body is when you walk, if the smile is static, you can never look natural with your overall walk/performance. :D

      It's common for coaches to have multiple contestants competing in the same pageant. If you have a coach who provides the same quality to every contestant, then it can be an asset. For example, I've had multiple contestants in the same pageant and they coincidentally wanted the same gown. I was able to share with them that someone else had already purchased the gown, and they were able to find a different and unique style.

    Also the dragging feet giving Puerto Rico 21 MU evening gown
    The baby giraffe was kinda giving Cameroon preliminary MU 2021
    Also u need to talk about facial features starting with the chin chunk 😭 it's very cool when doing it elegantly but very disturbing when overdoing it like u will choke on stage after swallowing a fly while smiling with your mouth wide open throughout 😭😭😭.

      I hear that from contestants, but I've been coaching virtually since about 2018 and have worked with winners from the local to international level. I've also coached in person, but I haven't see a noticeable link to in person coaching and winning, or a noticeable disadvantage to virtual coaching. But, I have noticed that contestants who devote time each day to practice, outside of our appointments, are my most successful.

    • @hadysabbagh8081
      @hadysabbagh8081 2 года назад +1

      I am a plus size man and I have thick thigh-physicque as well and it's really just a matter of practice how to mechanize our legs to at least make the tracks semi one-track. cause haha I also do catwalk in my room secretly haha and yeah I have been practicing to still cross my legs even though having this thick thigh. when you practice, use leggings though or fitted shorts cause it can cause friction on the skin between the legs and it will become painful. so yeah you might want to just give it all in during the actual pageant. but for the meantime, while practicing, use leggnigs so that the skin on the thighs cannot rub each other cause it will rub off because of our thick thighs.
