Several scenes have this occasional sound like creaking leather or something. Sounds like something that would accompany a player model idle animation, but it's hard to tell. Especially frequent in the second scene.
Yep, that’s what it is. So the only weapon that doesn’t make any idle sounds when standing still for a long time is the assault rifle as far as I know, and there are no ARs to be found in this mission until you encounter flood. Plasma rifle was the second least “annoying” in this regard so I went ahead and used that, but the result is an occasional “leathery” sound unfortunately
@@thea-ronator57 Ahh, got it. Was trying to think of a solution to that. If you're on custom edition, you could use devmode to spawn an assault rifle, but I'm not sure about for MCC. Seems like there should be a mod or something. Or if you're on console, I guess backtracking might be the only way to reduce it.
is it okay if i ask how you disabled the weapon viewmodel for this? i'm trying to do so myself for a project that i'm working on but i can't seem to future out how to get rid of viewmodels.
This mission has grown in my appreciation of it more than any other in the game. The atmosphere is incredible.
