Definitely very beatable, but doing 2x2 - 8x8 in under 10 minutes is a pretty crazy thought to me. Back when I started cubing in 2009 the only relay videos were of Yu Nakajima doing 2x2 - 7x7 in under 10 minutes, which was legendary. Now it's possible to do 2x2 - 8x8 in the same time.

You don't really need it.
Big tip for good times on the big cubes: Turn faster, and more accurate. It doesn't matter if you pause, as those will go away with practice.
