Man i will be honest, atsushi kinda makes him part of this cicle with the recent chapters, we know it was dazai orders to go there and fight, but akutagawa chose for himself to protect atsushi with his life, yeah, they have fighted a lot but atsushi has shown him his worth in a way withing that, because atsushi is very strong so dazai choosing him to be atsushi's partner already tells akutagawa that he has been recognized by him, and he kept his promise not to kill anyone, that has been the first steps about the cycle of salvation, the characters met someone and they showed them that their life is worthy/gave them a reason to live by not hurting others, and then the characters stop kiliing
