Don't forget to switch on the subtitles and enjoy my video!
I see a lot of mixed comments, but I think I'll try this sometime soon. I have the Denon DL-103R on my Rega Planar 2 and think it would be a nice upgrade. Goodbye plastic and hello wood!
The logic behind it is the fact that different body materials affect the sound of the cartridge!
It would be helpful to also show the adhesive process. What kind do you use? How much do you use? Where do you apply it?
Beautiful work!
As the beach boys once said Wooden it be nice ...:)
Would painting the body different color change the sound? I am thinking if you paint it white will it improve transients and channel separation?
You could also stick some rainbow foil on it or smear it with PWB Cream Electret.
What is the benefit? I’ll just get a Grado.
Do you do retiping on the 103r. I have one i broke the needle on
Not sure i understand why. What benefit?
Looks like a big waste of time to me.
OK.... Is it ready for Rega rb 200 tonearm?? need drilling?? something very very.. Very....... Or is it ready for install?
Yes it is ready for using on Rega tonearm
@@stanleyengineering675 thank you
Does blood ruin a cartridge?
Maybe 😅

thank you
ed
Yes, sure ;-)
@@stanleyengineering675 thank you Sir
I just ordered an ebony body-do they come with screws, or should I order some M2x8 screws?
All my wood bodies for all cartridges come with screws!
For slide-in type, what kind of adhesive should I use?
The best choice is "Superglue" - "cyanoacrylate adhesive"
I'm a novice when it come to all things vinyl. Can anyone explain how a wood body effects the performance of the cartridge internals.
Hi Vernon. The wooden body won't affect the performance of the internals, but it will affect the overall performance of the tonearm/cartridge/headshell because it changes the mass and resonance of the complete assembly. Whether it affects it in a good or bad way is difficult to judge without knowing the precise weight, density, and geometry of the wooden body.
What on earth is the point of that? Isn't it a bit like putting a Trabant engine into a Ferrari Berlinetta Boxer 512B.
wozu der ganze Aufwand ?!?!
Why????🤔
Really? Really!?
looks like a dynovector when body is off.
Most MCs look roughly the same when you get the cover off.
Not much of a tutorial without saying anything.
Switch on the subtitles, it will help..
