Thanks Lucas, great demo. But what about the burr side?

Thanks!! The way I sharpen (lighter pressure than most) I don’t create much of a burr. But I have played around with flipping the tool over and using the edge of the wheel to get the inside edge. Doesn’t make a ton of difference in my experience!

Thanks for the demo, Lucas! Question….how easy is it to sharpen knives on both sides of the blade?

Great question, its definitely not the best tool for knife sharpening. It’s doable but quite awkward to get that other side.

Nice. It would have been nice if you had provided a link to the device. Thanks and best wishes

Not trying to be condescending mate but it’s by ‘Work Sharp’ , probably one of if not the most famous sharpening brands on the planet ? Expecting a link is way too close to spoon feeding wouldn’t you agree ? 👍

Do you use compound on the strop?

Seems expensive overkill for the amateur carver. I made my own wheels powered by a old 1/2 inch variable drill. Also made various contours for different shaped gouges etc. so I can do both sides of a tool. Much less expensive but very effective.
But I get why a professional carver might want something speedier.
