- This tool has already saved me many many hours of time and my tools are sharper than ever, so I thought I would share the excitement with y'all!
Been eyeing that for awhile now - nice demo
Thanks man!!!
You got my first up thumb for 2024!
The Two finger test is my biggest take away from the video ! Also will be buying one of these ! Thanks for the video review, all the best from N.S
Nice! 👍👍
Thanks! Great demo. No fear now!
Thanks Lucas, great demo. But what about the burr side?
Thanks!! The way I sharpen (lighter pressure than most) I don’t create much of a burr. But I have played around with flipping the tool over and using the edge of the wheel to get the inside edge. Doesn’t make a ton of difference in my experience!
Thanks for the demo, Lucas! Question….how easy is it to sharpen knives on both sides of the blade?
Great question, its definitely not the best tool for knife sharpening. It’s doable but quite awkward to get that other side.
@@lucaskostwoodcarving Thanks for the info, Lucas!
What happened to the Burr?
Nice. It would have been nice if you had provided a link to the device. Thanks and best wishes
Not trying to be condescending mate but it’s by ‘Work Sharp’ , probably one of if not the most famous sharpening brands on the planet ? Expecting a link is way too close to spoon feeding wouldn’t you agree ? 👍
Do you use compound on the strop?
I do! The green stuff
Seems expensive overkill for the amateur carver. I made my own wheels powered by a old 1/2 inch variable drill. Also made various contours for different shaped gouges etc. so I can do both sides of a tool. Much less expensive but very effective.
But I get why a professional carver might want something speedier.
