I just saw your story on the ID channel. I'm so sorry to hear what happened but you and your mother are amazingly strong. You're both in my prayers. Stay positive and motivated. Continue turning tragedy into triumph!!!
I want to start out by saying eventhough I dont know you personally, I LOVE YOU!! My wife and I watched your family's story on "Unbreakable: Live To Tell". We both cried and felt so much emotion for you and your mother. Once it was over, I rewound it to find your moms previous last name (which would be yours), just so I could look up your speech at XMO, that the show showed a short clip of. I'm not blind, but you are such an inspiration to all. I have so much admiration, respect, and love for you and your mom. I, too, went through things as a child with an abusive alcoholic father. Nothing as severe as what you and your family went through, but I remember having so many of the same feelings as you. My wife always tells me not to always go for the "underdog". My response is always the same..."I will ALWAYS go for the "underdog", because someone has to, and if I ever find myself being the "underdog", I'd want someone to root for me too". I'm so thankful and grateful that you found the courage to speak at XMO, because I'm almost certain that you have no idea how many people you truly helped! Go for GOLD!!🌅🔱💯🌟🙋👼💝👍👑🏆🏁
Oh Ross, thank you for sharing your story. I could feel your pain. You have a beautiful and gentle soul. I will keep an eye for you at the Paralympics next year. Your Mom is great too! Love you both!! Greetings from Canada 🇨🇦💕🏊🏆
I came across the documentary of ID he's such a brave person and his mother too. I'm glad they come so far and I really admire his courage of standing up no matter what 😘
Ross, and your mom, you are both so brave & inspiring. I watch the ID channel often, just saw your episode recently. Decided I wanted to find out more about your journey, so glad I did, because I like seeing young people that I can relate to. I'm not blind, but I was born with a rare voice disorder, and need constant surgeries to repair my vocal cords & to maintain my airway open. Some days are definitely harder than others, and I know how depressing this stuff can get.. sure, I get mad. as a child, I felt like an alien, an outcast to people. But like you, my mother is my rock.. my family has always supported me. I've learned to express myself in alternate ways, and to just be positive & grateful for the good things. I do have faith. Still, if it were me making these speeches, I'd break down, unable to finish. The strength you have to make these presentations, to dream big, to move on, to despite everything still be humble, and have a sense of humor, is such encouragement to a young person like myself. Thank you so much for that. I could watch your videos over and over.. please never stop doing what you do Ross! You are amazing (:
It's really amazing the resiliency & fight people have in them. Ross really inspires me to not wallow in self pity. Thanks for sharing your story of tragedy, strength & perseverance.
Ross I’m so sorry !! I will keep you and your family in my prayers 🙏 My sincere condolences to you for the loss of your brother, dad and dog. May God bless you in a mighty way!! You are such an inspiration!! Keep being positive!! God has you covered !! Sending love and positive vibes from Jackson,Tn❤️
Hey Ross, “i wasnt bullied just ignored”. Ignorence is also bullying. You have been through hell. You stand right there, saying your text, lightly sniffling. HOW do you do that? What must you be mad, hurt and sad. And still you fight and be so damn strong. You rock man. And i wish you from now on only good. It must be very difficult to cope with blindness and the story how you became blind. But the best revenge to that is live your life to the fullest and be as happy as you can. You always can reach out to me if you need a talk. And i love you and appreciate you. The people who ignored you were not worth it to have a such a beautifull person like you in their lives. Keep going buddy you are perfect just the way you are. Love and big huggs sabrina
