Make sure you save this and give it a like 👇🏻
A good practice is to train yourself to listen to complementary instruments.
A classic example is your kick and bass, which often work together.
When tweaking the level, compression, or EQ on your bass, listen to your kick and vice versa.
This helps you focus on the relationships between instruments and stay in context while mixing.
You can apply this technique to other instrument pairs, such as…
Synths and bass, vocals and keys, or kick and snare.
You can also listen to the wet/dry levels of your effects.

like matching the de’esser monitor signal w the volume and tonality of your clap/snare 👀
Perfect advice... It's useful to solo your tracks to start with a decent sound but most of the adjustments to the tracks should be done in the context of the mix... The kick and the snare are always at the top of the punch food chain and should be matched along with the bass and kick for low end, as the master has spoken...
Thank u for this
